Apigate Launch New Dynamic Content Bundling Platform ‘Apiflex’

Apigate, a trusted provider to Telco Operators and Digital Merchants for reach, acquisition and monetisation, announced the launch of its new dynamic content bundling platform “Apiflex”.

Apiflex enables Digital Merchants and Telco Operators to co-create rich content and service offerings that, together, are more appealing and offer better value to end users and at the same time, tackle the rising cost of digital marketing and sales leaving them to focus on growing and retaining their respective customer base.

Recent analyst reports have shown that Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) has rocketed nearly 50% over the past five years for both B2B and B2C companies.

Notwithstanding other pressures already placed on businesses today, balancing the ever-rising CAC with the monetization of customers has become a key factor for business survival for Digital Merchants.

This together with the Telco clients who operate in saturated markets need differentiation to Acquire & Retain their customers. This is where bundling plays a crucial role and Apiflex helps businesses take advantage of this.

Simply put, Apiflex effectively combines two separate offerings into a single offer, providing an attractive bundle to the end consumer. The Bundling Models through the platform offer new and attractive ways for co-marketing, which ultimately lowers the cost of reaching, acquiring and maintaining customers.

Raja Mansukhani, Apigate’s Senior Vice President of APAC, said, “At Apigate, our endeavor has always been to innovate and create products with a ‘Problem to Resolve’ mindset.

Apiflex is one more such offering which helps to create the perfect combination of reduced Cost of Acquisition with higher conversion rates for Digital Merchants and at the same time creates differentiation for our Telco clients to cater for the ever-increasing digital content demand by their end customers.

We are excited with the introduction of this new product and hope this delivers significant value to our partners and clients and to their end consumers.”

Volkswagen Launches Nationwide Home Delivery Service For New Cars

VW Free Home Delivery

Service is available at all Volkswagen dealerships nationwide and service is available at all Volkswagen dealerships nationwide.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) today announced a new sales initiative which offers Volkswagen owners the option to have their new cars delivered right to their doorstep.

VW Free Home Delivery

Keeping to the Volkswagen brand philosophy of “people first”, the home delivery service places emphasis on customer convenience, and redefines the automotive shopping experience as part of the new normal.

The service is available nationwide at all authorized Volkswagen dealerships. Delivery is free for owners located within a 20-kilometre radius from their selected dealership.

Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said that the initiative showed the company’s evolution in keeping up with the new shopping habits of consumers. “With the introduction of this service, we are closing the loop and making it easy for our customers to buy a Volkswagen from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

It is as simple as selecting their preferred model on the eShowroom, finalizing the sales process and having the new car delivered right to their doorstep.”

“At the same time, this initiative is part of our Safe Hands campaign where we have adopted contactless procedures for both sales and aftersales to give our customers the assurance that their safety is our top priority,” he added.

All new Volkswagen cars will be delivered on a single flatbed carrier truck and fully covered in canvas to ensure tip-top condition upon delivery.

Adhering to strict safety guidelines, the carrier trucks are cleaned and disinfected before and after each delivery, with drivers regularly checked and practicing COVID-19 safety measures.

Owners will receive an SMS notification once their new car has been collected
and is en route to them.

As added safety measure, the owner’s Welcome Kit and car keys will be safely placed in the locked car.

To find out more, customers can enquire at their preferred dealership or visit www.volkswagen.com.my

Service Updates

For owners seeking additional peace of mind, the Volkswagen Deep Sanitisation service package is now available, and starts from as low as RM80. The treatment package works to eradicate more than 99% of germs and bacteria in the car interior and air con system.

All Volkswagen dealers nationwide have adopted a “Safe Hands” process that adheres to strict hygiene guidelines. Expect contactless vehicle acceptance, video walkthroughs, sanitisation before and after repair, and cashless payments with e-invoicing during the contactless car pickup.

Additionally, vehicle pick-up and drop-off arrangements can be made at selected service centres.

“Le Grand Rendez-vous” Filmed In Monaco At Dawn This Morning

Claude Lelouch’s short film starring the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Charles Leclerc to premiere on June 13.

French Director Claude Lelouch shot his short film, “Le Grand Rendez-vous”, in Principality of Monaco at dawn this morning, on the very date the Grand Prix was to take place.

The French director’s cameras accompanied the Ferrari SF90 Stradale as it completed an adrenaline-fuelled lap of the Formula 1 street circuit. At its wheel was Charles Leclerc who clocked speeds of up to 240 km/h en route to the mystery “big date” of the title.

HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco also made a brief appearance in the film. The Ferrari Chairman John Elkann, the Princes Andrea Casiraghi and Pierre Casiraghi with his wife, Princess Beatrice Borromeo, also visited the set.

Thanks to a progressive lifting of the lockdown in France and Monaco, the shoot was also watched by a group of excited onlookers from the balconies and the streets carefully supervised by the local authorities.

Traffic was stopped to allow the SF90 Stradale, which can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, unleash its full power on the Principality’s streets.

The car’s blistering engine soundtrack broke a long dry spell for Prancing Horse enthusiasts and tifosi alike.

Most importantly of all, however, the roar of its hybrid V8, generating a total power of 1,000 CV, sent out a message of optimism and signalled a first step towards the return of motorsport, film and social life as we endeavour to put the pandemic behind us through mutually responsible behaviour, commitment and solidarity.

This combination presents a compelling case for organisations gearing up to reopen in the coming months. As the world gradually regains some normalcy, we will continue to push for technological innovations in all areas, and introduce new solutions to support businesses in their recovery from COVID-19.”

NEC’s thermal screening solutions are available for Malaysia and Singapore from today. Availabilities in other parts of Southeast Asia will be communicated in due time.

Get An Inside Look At The Galaxy Z Flip’s Hideaway Hinge Part 1: Dual CAM Mechanism

With Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung pushed mobile engineering to its limits and reimagined the foldable category.

Now, users can open their device and stand their screens at different angles. From taking selfies to video chatting with friends hands-free, the Galaxy Z Flip offers an entirely new kind of smartphone experience, and it’s all possible because of the one-of-a-kind Hideaway Hinge.

When you hear the word hinge, you probably think of the simple component that lets a door open and close.

The Hideaway Hinge on the Galaxy Z Flip is so much more than that. It’s an innovation marvel and the backbone of the device – it quite literally holds the entire smartphone.

Designing the hinge was no easy feat. Samsung had to tackle some huge problems to ensure that it was ready for consumers.

First, Samsung had to invent a hinge that is strong, stable and offered a smooth experience, without adding any extra bulk.

Second, Samsung had to come up with a way to prevent small particles, like dust
and sand, from entering the tiny gap between the hinge and screen.

To solve both of these problems at once, Samsung engineers developed a patented Hideaway Hinge technology that combines two completely new, groundbreaking innovations: the dual CAM mechanism and sweeper technology.

In this first installment of a two-part series, we will explore the first innovation of
the Hideaway Hinge: the dual CAM mechanism.

Hideaway Hinge’s Dual CAM Mechanism

The ridge-shaped dual CAM mechanism is a key component of the Galaxy Z Flip’s Hideaway Hinge and revolutionary, gradual folding experience. Because of this innovative technology, the Galaxy Z Flip can open, close and stand on its own at different angles.

It’s the difference between a light switch that can only go on and off and a dimmer that offers many more degrees of control.

In addition, the precisely crafted dual CAM mechanism keeps the Hideaway Hinge slim, and the Galaxy Z Flip small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

Check out how the dual CAM mechanism works in Samsung Malaysia Newsroom.

The Galaxy Z Flip is available at a recommended retail price of RM5,888 and comes in Mirror Purple, Mirror Gold and Mirror Black colours to suit your personal style.

Ferrari And Claude Lelouch Join Together For A “Grand Rendez-Vous”

SF90 Stradale and Charles Leclerc protagonists in a unique short film shot in the Monaco Principality on what was to be one of F1’s major calendar events.

Some appointments in the calendar cannot be forgotten. Even under the most difficult of circumstances, they cry out to be honoured and transformed into an opportunity, to create something truly unique and memorable.

With this in mind on Sunday morning, on the day that the Formula 1 Grand Prix was to take place in the Monaco Principality but suspended due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic (the last time an F1 Grand Prix in Monaco didn’t take place was in 1954) Claude Lelouch will shoot a new short film “Le Grand Rendez-Vous” with Charles Leclerc, inspired by his famous “C’était Un Rendez-Vous” filmed in 1976.

The protagonists this time will be the SF90 Stradale, the Prancing Horse’s first series production hybrid model, and the Monegasque talent, who will take the Ferrari on a first breathtaking drive through the Principality’s winding streets and roads.

The new short evokes both the atmosphere of the beloved Grand Prix and the roar of the Ferrari 275 GTB that provided the instantly recognisable soundtrack to the 1976 film shot in Paris.

On the city circuit the SF90 Stradale will measure its unmatched performance for a Ferrari production car: 1,000 cv, a weight-to-power ratio of 1.57 kg/cv, and 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.

The car’s name, a reference to the 90th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari celebrated last year, exemplifies the symbiosis of transferred technology between Ferrari road and track cars, of which this recent model is the maximum expression.

This first post lockdown French shoot symbolically will also mark the start of a gradual return to the ‘new normal’ after the pandemic and the restart for the film industry, impacted significantly by recent restrictions.

Ferrari welcomed partnership in the film as a way of demonstrating support for its tifosi, clients and supporters as an expression of  hope that the world will gradually be able to absorb the painful and complex health crisis which has affected everyone, allowing us to begin to look positively towards the future, also in anticipation of the expected restart of the F1 season in July.

In the same spirit, over the past months, the Maranello marque has continued to demonstrate its commitment to fighting the Covid-19 crisis through concrete support ranging from fundraisers, to the distribution of healthcare equipment to hospitals, to the production of respiratory conversion valves at the Maranello factory, to  the most recent expression of transfer technology represented in the design of a new pulmonary ventilator, FI5, offered in open source production at global level.

The Venue also offers face masks, gloves and other hygiene protective gear for purchase at its medical clinic.

As a world-class operation, MITEC champions the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) Goal #3 to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all, providing secure and safe SOPs for our visitors we value of utmost importance.

The Venue is among the hardest-hit sector by the pandemic and has implemented new best practices with strict HSSE measures to enable COVID-19 conscious events in the future.

MITEC is the only trade fair venue in Malaysia with its own in-house medical clinic including an isolation room if needed, providing the community with peace of mind and support whilst at its Venue.

The facility also has an ambulance stationed at the South entrance during business hours and extended hours during events.

Long before the Movement Control Order was announced by the Malaysian Government in March 2020, MITEC had imposed high standards of hygiene and protection as the wellbeing of its staff and guests is of paramount importance.
