Faulty airbag gas generator housing identified as root cause
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) announced a recall on models produced between 2010 and 2014. A total of 6,671 vehicles have been identified to undergo inspection under the recall.
The affected models are the sixth generation Golf GTI, Eos, Passat CC, Polo, Beetle and Vento, which are equipped with a specific driver front airbag gas generator housing.
The concern with the front driver airbag housing generator is caused by deterioration of the generator’s propellant due to high air humidity and temperature fluctuations over a long period of time.
This could lead to potential injury on the driver and passenger. VPCM has taken the necessary steps with its dealer partners to ensure parts availability and that the recall is conducted smoothly and efficiently, and the nationwide recall will be carried out in phases to manage the number of cases.
All notifications to identified owners, based on the Volkswagen database will be conducted by email and WhatsApp, and customers who purchased the vehicle from a previous owner or a used car dealership are advised to urgently contact the nearest Volkswagen authorised
dealer for verification.
Should parts replacement be required in the event of parts replacement, all labour and replacement parts for this service will be at no cost to owners.

CapitaLand Group, with the support from its philanthropic arm, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), has contributed RM200,000 worth of daily necessities and educational supplies to more than 800 underserved children from 22 homes and schools, as well as over 1,500 beneficiaries from 520 low-income families in Malaysia under its #GivingBersama 3.0 initiative.
As part of CapitaLand’s annual #GivingAsOne campaign, this community initiative aims at supporting beneficiaries from orphanage homes, schools and low-income families in Johor, Klang Valley, Pahang, and Penang, to improve their quality of life.
For the third annual edition of the #GivingBersama initiative, CapitaLand has extended its support to families from the B40 low-income category for the first time.
These beneficiaries were identified in collaboration with Pertubuhan Komuniti HARAP, Kuantan, Unit Mutiara Food Bank, Penang and Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia.
Head, Retail, CapitaLand Investment (Malaysia), Selina Ng said: “As part of CapitaLand’s #GivingAsOne global campaign, the #GivingBersama 3.0 initiative continues to provide essential and educational supplies to the underserved children in the communities where we operate in.

Menjelang 2030, Volvo Cars merancang untuk hanya menjual kereta elektrik sepenuhnya dan menjelang tahun 2040, ia menyasarkan untuk menjadi syarikat yang neutral iklim.
Pelan hala tuju yang jelas ke arah elektrifikasi sepenuhnya tersebut merupakan salah satu pelan transformasi yang bercita-cita- tinggi bagi mana-mana pembuat kereta legasi.
Untuk menekankan komitmen mereka terhadap cita-cita tersebut, Volvo mengumumkan penamatan pengeluaran untuk semua model kereta Volvo berkuasa diesel menjelang awal
2024 pada Minggu Iklim NYC (Climate Week NYC).
Dalam beberapa bulan dari sekarang, kereta Volvo berkuasa diesel yang terakhir akan dibina, menjadikan Volvo Cars sebagai salah satu pembuat kereta legasi pertama yang mengambil 1angkah ini.
Pencapaian ini mengikut keputusan Volvo Cars tahun lepas untuk berhenti daripada membangunkan enjin pembakaran baharu. Pada November 2022, syarikat tersebut telah
