Chevron Malaysia Limited, which markets the brand Caltex®, recently concluded its “Awesome Holiday Package” campaign in conjunction with the final episode of its sponsored reality TV show, Celebrity Car Wars Season 3.

THE show saw popular Malaysian celebrity Dato’ Hans Isaac driving home as the champion, who was recently announced as Chevron’s partner.

Five lucky persons were awarded all-expenses paid trips to Japan, China, Australia, Istanbul and Dubai for spending a minimum of RM40 at Caltex service stations.

Peugeot received two awards at the 34th International Automobile Festival held on 29 January 2019 at Hôtel des Invalides in Paris.

Proton X70 Pecah Rekod Pendaftaran Bagi SUV Segmen C Dalam Masa Sebulan

Proton memulakan 2019 dengan pencapaian memberangsangkan di mana jumlah pendaftaran meningkat kepada 7,007 unit pada Januari 2019.

PEGANGAN pasaran dianggarkan pada 14.5%, meskipun angka sebenar hanya akan disahkan selepas data jualan industri dikeluarkan oleh Persatuan Automotif Malaysia (MAA).

Selepas pelancarannya pada 12 Disember 2018, penyerahan Proton X70 semakin rancak di mana kini terdapat lebih banyak bilangan unit SUV pertama Proton dilihat.

Dengan rekod pendaftaran SUV yang paling banyak di pasaran Malaysia pada bulan ianya dilancarkan, rekod tersebut berterusan sehingga ke tahun baru dengan sebanyak 2,777 unit telah didaftarkan pada Januari 2019.

Jumlah tersebut bermakna Proton X70 telah mencatat rekod baharu sebagai SUV segmen C paling banyak didaftarkan dalam masa sebulan.

Perodua Catat Jualan 20,100 Unit Pada Januari, Daftar 1,025 Aruz Dalam Sehari

Perodua telah menjual lebih 20,100 kenderaan pada bulan pertama tahun ini.

PERODUA turut mencatatkan sebanyak 1,025 unit Aruz telah didaftarkan pada akhir Januari lalu – satu permulaan yang baik buat syarikat tersebut bagi tahun 2019.

“Walaupun berlaku sedikit kelewatan dalam proses pendaftaran Aruz, kami berjaya memaksimumkan penyerahan Aruz dalam jangkamasa yang singkat demi memanfaatkan cuti perayaan Tahun Baharu Cina,” kata Pengarah Urusan Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Dr. Zahari Husin.

“Masih lagi menunggu jumlah rasmi daripada MAA, kami menganggarkan bahagian pasaran Perodua adalah sebanyak 41.7% pada Januari 2019 dan pertumbuhan sebanyak 9.2% daripada 18,400 unit kenderaan Perodua yang dijual pada Disember 2018,” katanya.

Berbanding tempoh yang sama pada tahun lepas, Perodua telah menjual 20,100 unit  atau 13.6% lebih pada Januari tahun ini berbanding 17,700 unit yang dilakukan pada Januari 2018.

“Walaupun Aruz telah mendapat respon yang baik dengan tempahan sebanyak 8,000 unit setakat ini, model-model kami yang lain juga turut diterima baik dengan lebih daripada 19,000 unit telah didaftarkan pada Januari,” katanya.

Dr Zahari berkata, permintaan yang tinggi untuk Aruz telah meningkatkan tempoh menunggu terutamanya bagi varian AV.

“Kami akan berusaha melakukan yang terbaik untuk mengurangkan tempoh menunggu tersebut,” katanya.

Beliau menambah bahawa pada masa ini, komposisi pesanan bagi Aruz adalah 85% untuk varian Advance (harga pada RM77,900 tanpa insuran) dan baki 15% adalah untuk varian X (harga pada RM72,900 tanpa insuran).

“Mengenai spekulasi peningkatan harga bagi Perodua Aruz, saya ingin menjelaskan bahawa kami akan mengekalkan harga Aruz (tanpa insuran) yang bernilai RM72,900 untuk varian X dan RM77,900 untuk varian Advance,” katanya.

Bagi permintaan model-modelnya yang lain, Dr. Zahari berkata jualan amat memberangsangkan dimana Perodua Myvi yang masih mengungguli jualan dengan lebih 8,400 unit dijual pada bulan Januari.

Model-model lain juga turut mengungguli segmen masing-masing dengan Axia, Bezza dan Alza dijual lebih 5,500 unit, 3,400 unit dan 1,600 unit pada bulan Januari.

THE hackathon amassed around 2,500 participants in the form of 715 teams from across ASEAN to compete in three different tracks: Data Science, FinTech, and Coding.

Proton Release Official Pictures Of Facelifted Iriz

The first official photos of the facelifted Proton Iriz, Proton’s award winning B-segment hatchback, have been released.

SET to be launched later this year, the Iriz is the first model in the Company’s current range to be given a facelift since the collaboration with Geely was announced.

The new exterior lines are designed to portray connectivity with a sporty look as well as to build visual links with other models by using design elements that are common between them.

The front of the Iriz features new slim headlights that are integrated with a prominent grille garnish, which in turn has a shape inspired by the “Ethereal Bow” that made its debut on the Proton X70.

The radiator grille meanwhile features the “Infinite Weave” pattern sculpted into its design and is topped by a trademark Proton logo.

The bold new front bumper features a new lower radiator grille shape as well as sleek LED daytime running lamps (DRL) adding a sophisticated touch to the overall design.

At the rear, the Proton Iriz gets the new corporate identity feature of the PROTON name being spelled out on the tailgate garnish in place of the logo previously used.

The visual impact is it now looks wider, an impression reinforced by the new rear bumper. Vertical garnish inserts framing a new bumper stripe are the bumper’s most prominent features, lending the rear of the Iriz a more stable and sporty stance whilst adding character.

Just like at the front, the new rear bumper integrates seamlessly with the overall proportions and the finishing touch is provided by an Iriz nameplate in a distinctive new typeface.

A final flourish of sporty style is provided by a shark fin antenna and new rotor blade design alloy wheels.

The face lifted Proton Iriz is equipped with a colour touch screen, developed by Proton and ECARX and offering connectivity options as well as voice command functions.
