QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), pengendali restoran KFC dan Pizza Hut, menjalin kerjasama strategik bersama FatHopes Energy Sdn Bhd (FatHopes Energy) bagi melancar inisiatif mampan dan mesra alam di dalam operasinya menerusi pemprosesan sisa minyak kepada bahan api industri.
INISIATIF ini merupakan sebuah usaha bagi memacu perubahan ke arah kesejahteraan sosial dan persekitaran di samping menjana bekalan bahan api bio dari Malaysia secara berterusan.
Memorandum perjanjian (MoA) telah dimeterai menerusi pertukaran dokumen di antara
Merrill Christopher Pereyra, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Bahagian Restoran, QSR Brands dan Vinesh Sinha, Pengasas dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif FatHopes Energy.
Ianya disaksikan oleh Dato’ Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, Pengerusi QSR Brands bersama Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, Pengarah Urusan QSR Brands di dalam majlis yang berlangsung di KFC Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. Turut hadir Dato’ Eddy Leong, Ketua Pegawai Operasi FatHopes Energy.
Dato’ Kamaruzzaman menyatakan bahawa kerjasama ini merupakan sebuah langkah progresif di dalam usaha kelestarian QSR Brands serta sejajar dengan matlamat perangkaan alam sekitar, sosial dan tadbir urus (ESG) syarikat yang telah diperbaharui, di samping mengulas manfaat inisiatif berkenaan.
“Inisiatif ini secara sosialnya disasarkan bagi menyalur hasil minyak terpakai kepada aplikasi perindustrian yang boleh dikesan, sekaligus menentang risiko penggunaan minyak kitar semula di dalam penyediaan makanan harian rakyat Malaysia.
Manakala, impak positif terhadap alam sekitar dihasilkan menerusi pertukaran minyak terpakai kepada bahan api bio yang bermaksud sejumlah besar karbon* tidak lagi dibebaskan ke atmosfera.
Akhir sekali, inisiatif ini turut menyumbang manfaat dalam aspek ekonomi menerusi peningkatan pendapatan daripada pertambahan kutipan isipadu pemulihan minyak masak terpakai daripada restoran KFC,” katanya.
Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari menyatakan bahawa sistem FHE iTank milikan FatHopes
Energy, sebuah sistem pengumpulan minyak terpakai berinovasi yang akan dipasang di semua restoran KFC adalah direka bagi memperbaiki kecekapan operasi dapur restoran dengan menghapuskan pengendalian minyak terpakai secara langsung di samping meningkatkan hasil kutipannya secara ketara.
“Kami amat menyokong teknologi pemulihan sisa inovatif oleh FatHopes Energy, kecekapan sasaran aplikasi mereka untuk peringkat komersial serta minat yang mendalam terhadap inisiatif kitar semula sisa kepada tenaga (waste to energy).
Bersama FatHopes sebagai rakan kerjasama lestari, membolehkan kami memberi tumpuan lebih terhadap perniagaan teras kami, bagi menghidangkan perkhidmatan terbaik kepada jutaan pelanggan setiap bulan,” katanya.
Vinesh Sinha berkata, kolaborasi bersama QSR Brands menandakan sebuah lagi detik penting di dalam perjalanan FatHopes Energy serta ianya merupakan usaha yang wajar dijadikan contoh dan diterapkan di dalam industri.

Inisiatif bersama FatHopes Energy ini akan dijalankan secara berperingkat bermula daripada pemasangan FHE iTank di restoran KFC seluruh Malaysia, serta turut berpotensi dikembangkan kepada operasi Singapura.
Kedua-dua pihak sedang di dalam perbincangan bagi peringkat kedua kerjasama berkenaan, di mana FatHopes Energy akan mengendalikan kilang biodiesel QSR Brands di
Port Klang bagi tujuan pemprosesan sisa ke bahan api bio.
Menerusi kendalian FatHopes Energy, keupayaan operasi tapak sedia ada berkenaan dapat dipertingkatkan bagi memacu agenda global ke arah penyahkarbonan – sekaligus meletakkan Malaysia sebagai perintis di dalam penghasilan bahan api bio berasaskan sisa.

Maxis, syarikat perkhidmatan komunikasi dan digital menyeluruh terkemuka di Malaysia dan Huawei menandatangani memorandum persefahaman (MoU) semasa majlis Mobile World Congress 2019.
KEDUA-dua pihak akan bekerjasama untuk mempercepatkan 5G di Malaysia. MoU ini bertujuan untuk bekerjasama dalam percubaan 5G yang lengkap dengan sistem dan perkhidmatan hujung-ke-hujung.

Menandatangani bagi pihak Maxis ialah Gokhan Ogut, bakal Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif dan Morten Bangsgaard, Ketua Pegawai Teknologi.
Sementara itu, Huawei diwakili oleh Pengerusi Rotasi, Guo Ping, Presiden Rantau Pasifik Selatan, Jeffery Liu dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Malaysia, Michael Yuan.
Maxis dan Huawei menandatangani MoU untuk bekerjasama dalam percubaan 5G yang lengkap dengan sistem dan perkhidmatan hujung-ke-hujung untuk mempercepatkan 5G di Malaysia.

Naza Academy, an accredited Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre in Gurun, Kedah held a grand graduation ceremony this morning for 70 graduates of its Diploma in Skills Malaysia (Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia) and Malaysian Skills Certification programmes (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia).

Model hatchback terbaharu dengan unit stereo pintar serta rekaan luar yang segar
PROTON Iriz 2019 diperlihatkan secara rasmi dengan reka bentuk luaran yang diberi nafas baharu serta dilengkapi unit stereo pintar sama yang diperkenalkan pada Proton X70.
Model hatchback segmen-B PROTON ini merupakan model pertama dalam rangkaian semasa syarikat yang mendapat sentuhan terkini selepas pengumuman kerjasama bersama Geely.
Pelancaran rasmi model Iriz ini dijangka pada Mac 2019 dan rekaan pintar yang mengujakan adalah hasil usaha oleh sebuah pasukan yang diketuai oleh ketua Reka Bentuk PROTON, Azlan Othman, yang memanfaatkan kepakaran pusat reka bentuk antara syarikat kumpulan Geely untuk menghasilkan wajah baharu yang canggih dan menarik.
Azlan menjelaskan bahawa model ini direka untuk menggambarkan kecerdasan dengan rupa yang sporty, sesuai dengan slogan model itu iaitu Kepintaran yang Mengujakan.
Pada rekaan hadapan kereta ini, terdapat lampu depan halus yang dipadankan dengan gril baharu yang menonjol. Bentuk bar krom diilhamkan melalui reka bentuk “Ethereal Bow” sementara gril radiator pula mempunyai corak “Infinite Weave”, yang turut dihiasi logo Proton.
Terdapat juga bampar depan baharu yang menyerlah dilengkapi dengan gril radiator bawah yang lebih terkini serta lampu siang (DRL) yang menambahkan lagi sentuhan mewah pada reka bentuk model ini secara keseluruhan.
Pada reka bentuk bahagian belakang pula, perkataan PROTON kini tampak lebih jelas yang diletakkan pada bahagian tailgate yang sebelum ini diletakkan dengan logo. Unit Stereo pintar yang menyambungkan anda kepada dunia luar Iriz 2019 merupakan hatchback segmen-B pertama di Malaysia yang menampilkan unit stereo pintar yang menggunakan kad eSIM dan menawarkan aplikasi seperti pengaliran muzik, sistem navigasi dan pengecaman suara.
Akses kepada aplikasi ini serta fungsi-fungsi lain adalah melalui skrin sentuh antara muka bersaiz 7-inci dengan paparan warna penuh dan memori dalaman sebanyak 16GB.

Peserta kemudian mula bergerak sekitar jam 10.30 pagi dalam keadaan trafik sederhana sesak. Siri pertama pandu uji adalah dalam bandar sebelum bertukar pemandu di stesen petrol BHP, tidak jauh dari tol Gombak.
Melepasi tol Gombak, trafik mula lancar dan masing-masing dibenarkan memandu laju untuk menguji kuasa pecutan dan tahap kesenyapan dalam kabin ketika memecut dalam kelajuan tinggi.
Sebaik saja memasuki laluan menuju Bukit Tinggi, pemandu berpeluang pula menguji tahap pengendalian jentera BMW idaman mereka ketika mengambil selekoh, termasuk merasai daya tork apabila cuba mendaki jalan berbukit.
Peserta konvoi tiba sekitar jam 12:30 tengahari di kawasan parkir Bukit Tinggi yang berlatarkan bangunan perkampungan zaman pertengahan di Eropah.
Pelanggan turut menjamu selera makan tengahari di sebuah restoran sambil menikmati pemandangan indah bangunan yang diilhamkan daripada sebuah kota Perancis.
Selepas lebih sejam, konvoi mula bergerak pulang ke ibu kota dan tiba di Ingress Auto Puchong kira-kira jam 3.30 petang.
RASAI PENGALAMAN SEBENAR
Salah seorang pelanggan, Akmar Awang Bakar berkata, ini adalah pengalaman pertama memandu uji pelbagai model kereta BMW membabitkan perjalanan lebih 40 kilometer.
“Saya yang datang dari Terengganu cukup teruja apabila berpeluang menyertai program khas ini kerana kami bukan sahaja diberi penerangan mengenai selok belok mengendalikan kenderaan BMW malah mendapat layanan kelas pertama daripada pihak penganjur Ingress Auto Puchong.
“Selepas ini saya pasti akan memperkenalkan Ingress Auto Puchong kepada rakan-rakan saya kerana mereka cukup memahami kehendak pelanggan,” katanya ketika ditemui Prebiu.com yang turut menyertai sesi pandu uji khas ke Bukit Tinggi.
Bagi Mohd Yusof Ahmad Sabri, pengalaman memandu barisan kereta BMW di Ingress Auto Puchong berbeza berbanding syarikat pengedar lain.
“Kebiasaannya sesi pandu uji hanya sekitar 2 hingga 3 kilometer sahaja tetapi menerusi sesi pandu uji oleh Ingress Auto Puchong, kami berpeluang memandu uji lebih 40 kilometer membabitkan pelbagai jenis model dan laluan berbukit serta lebuh raya,” katanya.
Beliau yang memandu uji BMW 740Le xDrive turut merasai keseronokan memandu sebuah kereta mewah yang dilengkapi pelbagai ciri dan teknologi terkini.
“Saya berpendapat secara peribadi, apa dilakukan Ingress Auto Puchong adalah pendekatan bukan konvensional yang pastinya bertepatan dengan reputasi BMW sebagai jenama automotif yang bukan saja mementingkan kemewahan, tetapi juga prestij pemanduan,” katanya.
Bagi Sabariah Long pula, pelanggan moden masa kini bukan saja mahukan layanan eksklusif malah mereka sebenarnya memiliki pengetahuan meluas mengenai sesebuah kereta sebaik saja melangkah kaki memasuki bilik pameran.
“Laluan sepanjang konvoi cukup menyeronokkan dan saya yang memandu uji BMW X5 amat mudah dikendalikan meskipun saiznya agak besar. Saya pasti tidak akan melupakan pengalaman memandu ini,” katanya.
