Naza College Offers Up To 30 Percent Tuition Fee Waiver At Open Day

Naza College of Technology and Business, a wholly subsidisary of the Naza Group is offering up to 30% discounts on tuition fee during their Open Day which is happening every weekend from now until 7th April.

STUDENTS aspiring to pursue a diploma in courses related to the automotive industry and register during the Open Day are entitled to 10% early bird discounts.

Additionally, Naza College is also offering Naza CEO Award scholarships for students who excel in sports or art with a 30% waiver off tuition fee* and a 20% tuition fee waiver for students of low income households (total monthly income of whose parents or guardians do not exceed RM4,000)* via  the Naza Privileged Scholarship.

Students who achieve outstanding results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) or United Examination Certificate (UEC) examintions can also apply for the Naza Merit Scholarship.

Petron Hypermarket Sweep Kembali Dengan Ganjaran Kepada Pelanggan Setia

Ahli Petron Miles memperoleh entri automatik apabila mereka membelanjakan RM50 pada minyak atau dengan mengaktifkan kad PMiles mereka.

Huge Crowds Celebrate Samsung’s 10 th Galaxy S Device

The 10 th anniversary of Samsung’s Galaxy devices was celebrated enthusiastically last week, with crowds consisting of participants, partners, and bystanders looking on at Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands.

THE celebration was made even more significant, as Samsung officially launched its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S10, in Malaysia.

One week later, and Malaysians could not get any more excited to get their hands on the 10 th Galaxy S device, forming long queues before the doors to the roadshows were even opened.

Taking place in the main city of Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru, buyers flocked to the Galaxy S10 roadshows to get their hands on Samsung’s new flagship, packaged in irresistible and exclusive deals.

The first day of the roadshow saw throngs of fans becoming proud owners of the new Galaxy S10 and bringing home complementary Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds worth up to RM1,079.

Ho Luow Shuen, a 22-year-old law student at Brickfields Asia College, revealed that it was the perfect time to get the new Samsung flagship, as her previous phone had broken down on the S10’s launch day.

“When my previous smartphone died on me, I knew I had to make a decision on what my next phone would be. That day, my brother told me about the Galaxy S10’s official launch, and that it was probably a sign,” she laughed.

“In the past, I would stay away from Samsung smartphones because I wasn’t quite a fan of their designs. But ever since I laid hands on my sister’s Galaxy Note8, my perspective of Samsung has changed.

The Galaxy S10 really blew me away and I’m really looking forward to finally having a phone that will be able to last for at least a day. And I can’t say enough about its design and display as well.” she said of her new Samsung Galaxy S10.

Nissan X-Trail Facelift Baharu Kini Dibuka Untuk Tempahan-Tawar Varian CKD Hibrid

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) mengumumkan Nissan X-Trail Facelift baharu kini dibuka untuk tempahan dan dijangka dilancarkan pada April 2019.

AirAsia Withdraws Flights From Traveloka

AirAsia has decided to permanently withdraw sales of its flights from online travel agent Traveloka. The withdrawal covers all flight routes across the AirAsia network.

THIS follows the unexplained disappearance of AirAsia Indonesia flights from Traveloka for the second time in the past two weeks.

AirAsia Indonesia President Director Dendy Kurniawan said, “The omission of our flights has certainly hurt cooperation between AirAsia and Traveloka. Traveloka has not acted in good faith. They have refused to provide an official explanation despite our repeated attempts to seek their clarification.

“The exclusion of several AirAsia Indonesia flights by Traveloka is a clear display of preferential treatment and an act of favouritism.

We observed through social media messages how customers who enquired about the unavailability of AirAsia flights were recommended by Traveloka to book with other airlines instead. Therefore, in solidarity, AirAsia Group withdraws sales of all of its flights from Traveloka effective immediately.”

Travellers who wish to purchase AirAsia flights are advised to book directly from the airasia.com website or the AirAsia mobile app.

“Our airasia.com website and mobile app are a better alternative where travellers can book flights at the lowest fares directly from us and enjoy discounted hotel promotions.”

AirAsia flights first disappeared from Traveloka on 14-17 February 2019, coinciding with AirAsia’s network-wide system upgrade on 16 February 2019.

Traveloka had cited the 13-hour system downtime as the reason for AirAsia flights disappearing from their website in response to queries from customers.

However, AirAsia flights disappeared from Traveloka for a second time on 2 March without clarification, well after the successful system upgrade by AirAsia.

Dendy added: “Competition should be free and fair to ensure consumers benefit from the best deals. We should not let monopolies kill competition at the expense of the travelling public.”

2019 Persona Previewed To Malaysian Media

Flash booking promotion starts on 12 March in run-up to official launch

THE 2019 Proton Persona was officially unveiled to the Malaysian media at PROTON’s Malaysia Design Centre in Shah Alam.

The B-segment family sedan has been given an exterior redesign as well as an intelligent head unit identical to the one in the 2019 Iriz and based on the system used in the Proton X70. Both the Persona and Iriz are the first models in Proton’s current range to be updated following the collaboration with Geely and the official launch of both vehicles is currently planned to occur simultaneously in March 2019.

PROTON will be holding a ‘flash promotion’ for the 2019 Persona. Interested buyers can place an online booking for only RM9.99, which begins on 11 March 2019 and ends at 11.59pm on 22 March 2019.

“PROTON aims to make its cars accessible to as many potential buyers as possible. That is why the RM9.99 flash promotion is being offered for the 2019 Persona. The low commitment fee is just one part of the deal.

The convenience of being able to place a booking online from virtually anywhere there is a data line is the second part of the equation, making the act of booking a car simple and fast,” said Dr Li Chunrong, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON.

Due to popular demand, the flash promotion offer for the Proton Iriz will also be extended to end on the same day as the promotion for the 2019 Persona. This means customers will be able to place a booking for either car online until 22 March.

The first joint customer preview of the Persona and Iriz will take place this weekend 16 – 17 March at Proton Edar 3S centre in Plentong, Johor Bharu. Previously, customer events had been held at Proton Edar 3S centres at Chan Sow Lin and Damansara but they only featured the Iriz.

Penned by a team led by the head of PROTON Design, Azlan Othman, the 2019 Persona benefits from expertise drawn from other design centres within the Geely group of companies.

Working to a design brief with the model slogan Intelligence That Cares the Persona’s design embodies its three USPs of peerless connectivity, practical functionality and proven safety. It also uses styling elements to create a visual link with other Proton models.

The design updates are subtle but make the Persona stand out from its predecessor. At the front, it receives a new outer grille inspired by the “Ethereal Bow” that debuted on the Proton X70 and also features on the Iriz.

The radiator incorporates the “Infinite Weave” pattern sculpted into its design and sits on top of a redesigned front bumper. Sleek new LED daytime running lamps (DRL) are housed over a honeycomb mesh backing while a new bumper lower garnish ties together the new design elements of the front bumper and frames the lower air intake more elegantly.

At the rear, the most noticeable changes are the PROTON name proudly spelled out on the trunk lid garnish and a new bumper lower garnish that enhances the rear visual identity. A slimmer spoiler adds a sporting touch while a new bolder flowing typeface for the Persona name badge matches the overall exterior styling theme.

A new 15-inch aluminium wheel design and a shark fin antenna provide the final exterior styling touches. Similar to its sister car the Iriz, the 2019 Proton Persona features an intelligent head unit that is equipped with an embedded eSIM card and offers apps for music streaming, weather updates, navigation and voice recognition.

Access to the system is via a 7-inch full colour touchscreen with 16GB of internal memory. There is also Wi-Fi connectivity and full mirroring capabilities for Android smart phones via an app.

“The Proton X70 introduced the concept of intelligence to our range of cars and the 2019 Proton Persona and Iriz have now received similar features. Their intelligent head unit offers voice command, weather forecast, navigation and music streaming functions and they can all be accessed using the Hi Proton! catchphrase.

These are first in class features for cars in the B-segment so we hope to build on the advantage we now have over our rivals,” added Dr Li Chunrong.

Dial juga boleh ditetapkan terlebih dahulu untuk menunjukkan pelbagai maklumat, selain pandangan peta 3D bagi tujuan navigasi yang lebih baik.

Pada bahagian luaran, lampu belakang LED telah dinaik taraf dengan unit baharu bersama grafik lampu yang tersendiri. Bukan sekadar untuk gaya, lampu belakang itu juga mempunyai animasi brek yang meningkatkan lagi tahap pandangan dan keselamatan.

Lampu belakang itu terus menggunakan sistem LED sepenuhnya. Untuk memberi ketenangan minda, penambahbaikan itu tidak melibatkan sebarang kenaikan harga. Jadi, harga Tiguan kekal pada RM165,990 untuk varian Highline dan RM175,990 bagi model JOIN.

Semua kenderaan Volkswagen hadir bersama penyelenggaraan percuma tiga tahun, serta jaminan tanpa had perbatuan dan bantuan tepi jalan selama 5 tahun.

Tiguan menggabungkan penggunaan enjin turbo 1.4 TSI suntikan terus bersama kotak gear direct shift (DSG) 6-kelajuan dengan mode sport untuk memberikan kuasa 150PS dan tork 250Nm di antara 1,500 hingga 3,500rpm.

Ia menawarkan pecutan mengagumkan dari 0-100km/j dalam masa 8.9 saat sahaja.
Tiguan didatangkan dengan ciri-ciri keselamatan seperti enam beg udara, Kawalan Kestabilan Elektronik (ESC), brek Multi-pelanggaran, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) dan Hill-Hold Control.

Produksi generasi pertama Tiguan bermula pada 2007 di Wolfsburg. Ia telah menjadi SUV Volkswagen yang paling berjaya dengan lima juta unit dihasilkan di kilang sehingga Januari 2019.
