Perodua melaporkan kenaikan jualan sebanyak 28.3% bagi suku ketiga tahun ini kepada 88,537 unit berbanding 69,011 unit yang dicatatkan dalam suku yang sama pada 2022 berikutan faktor pengeluaran yang bertambah baik.
Peningkatan jualan itu disumbangkan oleh kecekapan operasi yang lebih baik di bahagian pengeluaran, yang menyaksikan 91,528 unit kenderaan keluarkan – iaitu kenaikan sebanyak 21.7% berbanding 75,196 unit pada suku sama tahun lalu.
“Suku ketiga 2023 menjadi titik mula bagi Perodua untuk meningkatkan pengeluaran bulanan melebihi 30,000 unit setiap bulan memandangkan kapasiti bekalan bahan mentah dan alat ganti yang mencukupi bagi memenuhi permintaan,” kata Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perodua, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
Bagi angka pengeluaran terkini tahun ini, pengeluar kereta kompak itu telah menghasilkan 245,341 unit kenderaan sehingga September lalu atau peningkatan sebanyak 18.6% daripada 206,837 unit dalam tempoh yang sama tahun lalu.
“Peningkatan pengeluaran ini menunjukkan potensi ekosistem automotif Malaysia berikutan penambahbaikan dalam skala ekonomi mereka tanpa berkompromi terhadap aspek kecekapan kos dan kualiti,” tambahnya.
Dato’ Sri Zainal berkata dengan berlakunya semua penambahbaikan ini, jangkaan jualan dan pengeluaran Perodua pada suku keempat tahun ini dijangka menjadi yang tertinggi dalam sejarah syarikat.
“Kami juga terus komited untuk mengurangkan tempoh menunggu pelanggan kami. Kami yakin bermula Januari 2024 ke atas, tempoh menunggu akan dapat diuruskan dengan lebih baik,” katanya.
Pendaftaran terkini Perodua adalah sebanyak 233,227 unit dalam tempoh sembilan bulan pertama tahun ini berbanding 196,354 unit yang dijual dalam tempoh sama tahun lalu.
Daripada 233,227 unit yang telah didaftarkan itu, model Perodua terbanyak yang dijual sehingga September 2023 adalah Perodua Bezza, diikuti oleh Perodua Axia dan Perodua Myvi.
“Perkembangan positif ini telah membantu Perodua menambahbaik kapasiti pengeluaran kami dan memendekkan tempoh penghantaran kenderaan kepada pelanggan yang kami hargai. Kami juga masih di dalam landasan untuk mencapai sasaran pendaftaran sebanyak 314,000 unit tahun ini,” katanya lagi.
Sementara itu, bagi perbandingan bulan ke bulan, Perodua telah mendaftar 28,995 unit kenderaan pada bulan September 2023, kenaikan sebanyak 17.7% daripada 24,626 pada September 2022.
Manakala dalam aspek pengeluaran, Perodua telah menghasilkan 31,447 kenderaan pada September 2023, peningkatan sebanyak 8.2% daripada 29,077 unit pada September tahun lalu.

Today, NetApp and Google are announcing support for Google Cloud’s Vertex AI with Google Cloud NetApp Volumes to support hybrid Generative AI applications.
“Launched in August, Google Cloud NetApp Volumes revolutionises enterprise workloads in the cloud, with new levels of storage performance combined with simplicity and flexibility,” said Ronen Schwartz, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cloud Storage at NetApp. “For customers investing in Generative AI data pipelines, this offering allows NetApp data on-premises to connect directly to Google’s Vertex AI on Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, with no additional engineering.”
With Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, NetApp became the only company to deliver the same enterprise storage offering on-premises and as a native first-party service in the three largest public clouds, that also include Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Market-leading data storage security against ransomware and expanded disaster recovery
In 2023, the vast majority of ransomware attacks caused losses ranging between $1 million and $2.25 million. To mitigate this, NetApp is helping customers protect themselves and their data with the most secure storage in the industry and backing it with a leading Ransomware Recovery Guarantee.
Leveraging ONTAP’s unique combination of key built-in security and ransomware protection features, ONTAP can automatically block known malicious file types, rogue admins, and malicious users with multi-admin verification, and provide tamper-proof snapshots that can’t be deleted – even by the storage administrator. The Russian Energy Week (REW) International Forum took place for the sixth time on 11–13 October in Moscow. The Forum was attended by government officials from various countries, heads of major energy companies and organizations, scientists, and experts. This year’s central theme was ‘The New Reality of Global Energy: Building the Future’.
“REW features specialized, industry-specific, targeted discussions with experts from all over the world. It once again brought together everyone interested in the joint development of energy and people willing to work together for the future.
It’s great that foreign countries were widely represented this year. I am confident that this platform will have a direct impact on international relations as a whole and on the energy sector in particular for many years to come,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said in comments following the Forum.
“The Forum’s business programme and REW Youth Day included over 70 events that were attended by more than 225 speakers. In total, over 5,000 delegates from 84 countries and territories took part in REW 2023.
“Over 1,200 representatives of foreign and Russian businesses from more than 250 companies attended the Forum. There were also 36 heads of diplomatic corps. More than 2,000 participants took part in the Youth Day events,” Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the REW 2023 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The Forum programme was built on four pillars: ‘The International Agenda’, ‘The Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector’, ‘Scientific and Technological Development, and the Digital Transformation’, and ‘Sustainable Development and the Climate’. The Forum also included bilateral meetings, negotiations, and business breakfasts.
The key event in the Forum’s business programme was the plenary session, which was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani. The discussion was moderated by Al Ghad TV journalist Amr Abdelhamid.
The session ‘The Global Oil and Gas Market: Navigating a Period of Turbulence’, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, generated significant attention among participants.

‘Global Energy’ and ‘Energy of the Pen’ Prizes
An official ceremony was held during REW 2023 to present the Global Energy Prize for outstanding scientific research and scientific-technical developments in the field of energy. This year, the prize was won by scientists from China.
Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems Founding Director Zhong Lin Wang was awarded in the Non-Conventional Energy category. Ruzhu Wang emerged as the laureate in the New Ways of Energy Application category. During the ceremony, an Honorary Diploma was presented to Ljubivoje Popovic on behalf of the Global Energy Association.
