MAJLIS yang bermula dari jam 12 tengahari dan berakhir jam 3 petang itu dihadiri lebih 200 penduduk Jalan Pahlawan 22/3 hingga 46/3, diadakan di hadapan pondok pengawal taman berkenaan.

In collaboration with Riding Pink, Caltex® Havoline® and ONE Championship bring world class mixed martial arts athletes, Ann “Athena” Osman and Agilan “Alligator” Thani to equip women drivers with self-defence skills
Moving forward with the partnership with ONE Championship, Asia’s largest global sports media property, Chevron Malaysia Limited, which markets the Caltex® brand, organised a special CSR initiative in collaboration with Riding Pink, Malaysia’s first women only e-hailing transportation platform, to uplift confidence in women drivers and prepare them for dangerous and unforeseen circumstances.
The self-defence workshop was conducted by homegrown mixed martial arts personalities, Ann “Athena” Osman and Agilan “Alligator” Thani, who emphasised the importance of learning self-defence to keep one’s safety while on the road.
Speaking at the workshop, Consumer Sales Manager for Chevron Malaysia Limited, Leslie Chong said, “We place the highest priority on the safety of our communities. We understand Riding Pink folks often spend more time on the road than regular drivers, which is why we aim to inspire them on the importance of physical fitness for their safety; to develop on their strength and learn how to apply some of these useful life skills to their daily routines, through this session.”
Excited at the prospect of collaborating with both Caltex Havoline® and ONE Championship, founder of Riding Pink, Denise Tan said, “A strong woman is one that is determined to do something that begins with herself.
We’re deeply honoured to hop on board with Caltex and ONE Championship to assist women drivers in overcoming and preparing them with the right skills in case of unforeseen circumstances that might put them in dangerous situations.
These are basic survival skills which are important to the wellbeing of our drivers. We’re hoping this collaboration paves the way for other industry leaders to step up and play their part in helping and empowering more women across the nation.”

During the Gala ceremony on the 9th of July at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, the jury of international designers also assigned two Red Dot awards for outstanding design quality to Ferrari for the 812 Superfast and the FXX K EVO.
