Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Pahlawan, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Selangor semalam mengadakan Majlis Perpaduan Persatuan Penduduk bertujuan mengeratkan silaturrahim dikalangan penduduk yang berbilang bangsa.

MAJLIS yang bermula dari jam 12 tengahari dan berakhir jam 3 petang itu dihadiri lebih 200 penduduk Jalan Pahlawan 22/3 hingga 46/3, diadakan di hadapan pondok pengawal taman berkenaan.

Pengerusi Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Pahlawan, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Nik Mohd Shukri Nik Ahmad berkata, majlis itu dirancang sejak dua bulan lalu bertujuan untuk meraikan sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri bersama penduduk yang berbilang bangsa terdiri daripada kaum Melayu, Cina dan India.

Beliau berkata, kehadiran penduduk di majlis itu juga membolehkan pelbagai masalah berkaitan dapat dibincangkan dan diajukan kepada pihak yang berkaitan.

“Saya bagi pihak ahli jawatankuasa Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Pahlawan amat berterima kasih dengan kehadiran penduduk pada majlis ini dan diharapkan majlis ini dapat diadakan sebagai acara tahunan.

“Sepertimana yang kita sedia maklum bahawa kawasan kejiranan kita dilengkapi kemudahan berpagar dan pondok pengawal yang lengkap dengan sistem kemasukan menggunakan kad akses.

“Justeru saya menyeru semua penduduk agar dapat memberi komitmen kepada tanggungjawab membayar yuran penyelenggaraan setiap bulan,” katanya dalam ucapan ringkas, semalam.

Katanya, tanpa sokongan semua penduduk, usaha untuk mengelakkan kejadian yang tidak diingini berlaku seperti kejadian pecah rumah tidak dapat dilakukan dengan sempurna sekiranya tiada kawalan oleh pengawal keselamatan dilakukan.

“Akhir sekali, kami berharap penduduk sekitar taman ini dapat bekerjasama dalam menjaga keselamatan dan kebersihan kawasan persekitaran rumah serta tinggal dalam suasana yang harmoni, aman dan damai,” katanya.

Hadir sama Timbalan Pengerusi Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Pahlawan, Dr Mohd Khairuddin Kandar; Bendahari Azizuddin Abdullah dan Penolong Setiausaha Mazran Akhyari Kamali Hatmal.

Pada majlis itu, selain tetamu dihidangkan dengan menu utama Nasi Kukus Ayam Dara, tetamu yang hadir juga berpeluang memenangi hadiah cabutan bertuah yang disediakan oleh pihak penganjur dan hasil sumbangan penduduk.

Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Pahlawan yang ditubuhkan secara rasmi pada 2016, sebelum ini sudah mengadakan pelbagai aktiviti membabitkan penduduk setempat dan bertindak sebagai pihak tengah dalam membantu menyelesaikan pelbagai masalah seperti masalah kerosakan jalan dan rumah akibat projek pemasangan paip Projek Langat 2.

Moving forward with the partnership with ONE Championship, Asia’s largest global sports media property, Chevron Malaysia Limited, which markets the Caltex® brand, organised a special CSR initiative in collaboration with Riding Pink, Malaysia’s first women only e-hailing transportation platform, to uplift confidence in women drivers and prepare them for dangerous and unforeseen circumstances.

The self-defence workshop was conducted by homegrown mixed martial arts personalities, Ann “Athena” Osman and Agilan “Alligator” Thani, who emphasised the importance of learning self-defence to keep one’s safety while on the road.

Speaking at the workshop, Consumer Sales Manager for Chevron Malaysia Limited, Leslie Chong said, “We place the highest priority on the safety of our communities. We understand Riding Pink folks often spend more time on the road than regular drivers, which is why we aim to inspire them on the importance of physical fitness for their safety; to develop on their strength and learn how to apply some of these useful life skills to their daily routines, through this session.”

SUNWAY Lagoon has truly earned itself the moniker of Asia’s Best Theme Park, as it is much touted by visitors from around the globe.

This appellation is further attested and embellished by a host of awards and accolades that the theme park has gleaned in recent times. Among more notable ones in recent times include being recognised as one of the top attractions globally by TripAdvisor and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

Recently, Sunway Lagoon also ranked 13th in the list of the world’s top 20 waterparks worldwide by AECOM in association with the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the body which manages the AECOM/TEA Theme Index and Museum Index – an annual study of attendance at top theme parks, water parks and museums around the globe.

“Indeed, in recent years, our visitor data has shown a significant and steadily increasing year-on-year flow of tourists from China, indicating that Sunway Lagoon is becoming increasingly popular among Chinese tourists. He explained that some of these efforts include promoting Sunway Lagoon as a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) destination. In 2016 alone, the theme park saw the implementation of three large Chinese MICE themed dinners at its Surf Beach which involved the attendance of over 3000 guests.

Taking a cue from the heavy use of online transactions and bookings by Chinese tourists, Sunway Lagoon has also trained its marketing targets on China further by focusing on digital penetration through social media platforms and engaging content by Chinese Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to entice Chinese tourists further.

“We believe the onslaught of visitors from China to Sunway Lagoon is two-pronged. Firstly, it is a direct result of our intense efforts to attract more tourists from the region, which has shown a huge potential in recent years. In this regard, we have the employees of Sunway Lagoon to thank for their massive concerted efforts towards this objective. And our hard work certainly seems to have paid off, as can be attested by this award,” said Choo.

Accelerate the NEV Strategy – Joint Venture Contract Signed by GWM and BMW

Witnessed by China-Germany government officials, the joint venture contract is entered into by and between GWM Group and BMW.

THE joint venture (JV) is named Spotlight Automotive Ltd, with 50% of shares held by both parties and a total investment of 5.1 billion RMB (approx USD 780 million).

Based in Jiangsu Province, the JV has an estimated standard production of 160,000 vehicles initially and a potential increase of annual production capacity depending on its future production plan.

The JV provides products and service for the global market. The cooperation will effectively promote the globalization process of both parties and will greatly promote the development of GWM NEV strategy.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German Chancellor Angela Merkel presided over the fifth round of China-Germany inter-governmental consultation in Berlin. Witnessed by China-Germany government officials, the joint venture contract is entered into by and between Great Wall Motor Company Limited (here in after referred to as GWM) and BMW Holding B.V. (here in after referred to as BMW).

According to the Contract, the joint venture with 50% of the shares held by GWM and BMW is named as Spotlight Automotive Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 1.7 billion (approx. USD 300 million).

The registered address in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu Province and the total investment is RMB 5.1 billion. The Board of Directors consists of six members, in which the chairman is appointed by GWM and the Vice Chairman by BMW, serving for four years.

The JV has planned an international advanced vehicle plant with an annual standard capacity of 160,000 vehicles. This is the first BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) joint venture project of BMW Group worldwide and the bridgehead for the GWM new energy vehicles of opening to the global market.

Based on multi-round communication and mutual benefits, this commercial cooperation between GWM and BMW complies with the national industry policy trend, and meets the social demands of new energy vehicles featuring energy conservation, environmental protection and high efficiency. Focusing on new energy vehicle field, JV will integrate technology, resource and management advantages of both parties to develop a new generation of BEV.

As one of ten key national development fields in China, “Energy-saving and new energy vehicle” aims at promoting the travel mode centered on low carbon, energy conservation and environmental protection. The cooperation between GWM and BMW effectively responds to the optimization and upgrade of new energy industry in China.

GWM has developed in core fields of new energy vehicles, such as motor, electronic control and power battery, with trial-manufacturing laboratory concerning cells, mechanism analysis, PACK and BMS, battery trial workshop, test center, and analysis center established.

Furthermore, new energy technology R&D centers in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and Lower Austria, Austria, built by GWM have developed leading technology with world-class talent resources and domestic companies.

The cooperation between GWM and BMW is a new example for open-minded cooperation in Chinese auto industry, showing the optimization and integration of global resources. It helps GWM and BMW jointly broaden the international market by integrating their advantages.

Projek pertanian bandar yang bertujuan untuk membangunkan komuniti yang utuh dan mampan

SIME Darby Property dan komuniti Apartmen Melati di Bukit Subang melancarkan Kebun Komuniti Melati, salah satu usaha untuk memaksimakan penggunaan kawasan hijau dan membantu komuniti bandar menangani kenaikan kos sara hidup.

Pelancaran dirasmikan Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Kota Anggerik, Najwan Halimi, dihadiri oleh Pengarah Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional (JPNIN) Selangor Fairojibanu Zainal Abidin, Pengurus Besar Sime Darby Property, Appollo Leong dan para ahli komuniti.

Projek kebun komuniti tersebut menyediakan keluarga berpendapatan rendah di perbandaran Bukit Subang dengan kemudahan asas bagi mengusahakan tanaman seperti sayur-sayuran untuk keperluan sendiri dan menjana pendapatan daripada penjualan hasil tanaman mereka.

Sime Darby Property turut menyumbang kepada penyediaan infrastruktur berkebun seperti sistem fertigasi tanaman, kaedah pengurusan tanaman yang menyediakan baja dan bekalan air melalui pengairan titisan (drip irrigation), meningkatkan penyerapan nutrien oleh tanaman dan memastikan hasil yang produktif. Kaedah ini adalah lebih sistematik dan mudah diurus berbanding kaedah pertanian konvensional.

Pengurus Besar Sime Darby Property, Appollo Leong berkata, Kebun Komuniti Melati ini adalah projek perintis yang akan memberi manfaat kepada 30 keluarga terpilih di Apartmen Melati, Bukit Subang.

“Kami berbangga menjadi sebahagian daripada inisiatif ini, yang akan memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat melalui akses kepada makanan yang sihat dan berkhasiat, kehidupan yang lebih baik dan persekitaran hidup yang lebih harmoni,” katanya.

Kebun Komuniti Melati mengaplikasikan konsep pertanian bandar yang menggunakan ruang hijau yang terbiar, dengan tiga fasa bakal diperkenalkan. Fasa 1 melibatkan kawasan seluas 74m x 6m, 70m x 6m untuk Fasa 2 dan 64m x 6m bagi Fasa 3. Kesemua fasa ini akan dibangunkan secara berperingkat dan disediakan dengan sistem fertigasi.

Pengurus Besar Sime Darby Property Appollo Leong menyampaikan sumbangan syarikat pemaju hartanah tersebut, bagi menjayakan projek kebun komuniti di Bukit Subang.

Setakat ini, seramai 30 peserta telah mendaftar dan bersedia untuk memberikan komitmen penuh kepada Fasa 1, dengan penyertaan komuniti dijangka meningkat tidak lama lagi. Para peserta akan diberikan latihan berkenaan pertanian bagi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran, memastikan impak positif kepada projek tersebut.

Bukit Subang adalah perbandaran seluas 250 ekar yang dibangunkan oleh Sime Darby Property. Ia adalah salah satu daripada empat perbandaran di City of Elmina selain Denai Alam (1,000 ekar), Elmina East (1,088 ekar) dan Elmina West (2,662 ekar).

City of Elmina adalah perbandaran pertama yang didedikasikan kepada kesejahteraan dan daya huni di Malaysia, dirancang dan dibangunkan sejajar dengan spesifikasi yang ditetapkan oleh Kaji Selidik Kualiti Kehidupan, sebuah piawaian yang diiktiraf di peringkat antarabangsa bagi mengukur tahap daya huni.
