Ford Motor Company (Ford) dan rakan pengedar tempatannya, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) memperkenalkan rangkaian model Ford Ranger baharu untuk pasaran tempatan.
PENGARAH Urusan SDAC, Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz berkata, rangkaian Ranger baharu itu membabitkan sembilan varian terdiri daripada varian XL, XLT, XLT+, Wildtrak dan Raptor.
Bagaimanapun katanya, varian Raptor akan hanya dilancarkan secara rasmi di Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018, bulan depan.
“Ranger baru ini menawarkan tiga rangkaian kuasa diesel untuk lebih versatil dan memenuhi keperluan pelanggan yang berbeza. Ia membabitkan enjin 2.0 liter (l) turbo tunggal, 2.0l bi-turbo dan enjin Duratorq 2.2l.
“Selain itu, buat pertama kali untuk segmen trak pikap, ia didatangkan dengan teknologi bantuan pemanduan dan keselamatan seperti Semi-Automatic Parrallel Parking, Autonomous Emergency Braking dengan Pengesan Kenderaan dan Pejalan Kaki.
“Malah, ia juga dilengkapi sistem kemasukan tanpa kunci dan butang penghidup enjin, pengangkat pintu but serta SYNC 3 bersama keupayaan Apple Car Play dan Android Auto,” katanya pada pelancaran Rangkaian Ford Ranger di Kuala Lumpur.
Hadir sama, Pengarah Urusan Pasaran Membangun Asia Pasifik Ford, Truong Kim Phong dan Pengarah Urusan Sime Darby Motors Malaysia, Thailand dan Taiwan, Dennis Ho.
Syed Ahmad berkata, tiga pilihan varian ditawarkan untuk XL yang dijual pada harga bermula RM90,888 manakala dua varian untuk XLT pada harga RM109,888.
“Ranger XLT+ yang hanya ditawarkan satu varian dijual pada harga RM124,888 manakala Wildtrak merangkumi dua varian, dengan harga bermula pada RM134,888.
“Rangkaian Ranger baharu ini didatangkan lapan pilihan warna termasuk tiga wana baharu iaitu Saber (untuk Wildtrak sahaja), Magnetic dan Lightning Blue, Cool White, Meteor Grey, Aluminiun Metallic, Frozen White dan Absolute Black.
Mengulas lanjut, beliau berkata, sebagai tawaran untuk pelanggan terawal, 888 pelanggan pertama yang mendaftarkan Ford Ranger baharu bakal menerima baucar barangan elektrik bernilai RM1,000.
“Selain itu, SDAC akan menawarkan penyelenggaraan percuma selama dua tahun atau sehingga 40,000 kilometer (yang mana tiba dahulu) kepada pelanggan yang berjaya mendaftar sebelum 31 Januari 2019,” katanya.
AirAsia menandakan 11 tahun penerbangan jarak jauh dengan tambang penerbangan berpatutan bagi para tetamu serendah RM 211* sehala bagi tempat duduk standard dan dari RM 611* sehala untuk tempat duduk Premium Flatbed.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) menasihati orang ramai untuk segera menghubungi TNB jika premis mereka dinaiki air akibat banjir berikutan permulaan monsun Timur Laut bagi membolehkan TNB menghentikan bekalan demi keselamatan.
JABATAN Meteorologi Malaysia dalam kenyataan pada 26 Oktober 2018 memaklumkan bahawa Monsun Timur Laut atau musim tengkujuh di Malaysia dijangka bermula pada 27 Oktober hingga Mac 2019.
Hujan lebat dijangka berlaku di Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang dan Johor pada November serta Disember 2018.
“Sila hubungi pejabat TNB yang berdekatan, TNB CareLine 15454 atau Facebook TNB Careline sebaik paras air meningkat supaya bekalan elektrik boleh diputuskan bagi mengelakkan sebarang kejadian yang tidak diingini,” kata Ketua (Perhubungan Awam & Dalaman) TNB, Datuk Ir. Mohd Aminuddin Mohd Amin.
Katanya, TNB sentiasa mengawasi keadaan dari semasa ke semasa dan akan menutup bekalan ke pencawang di kawasan banjir sekiranya paras air mencecah tahap bahaya.
“Penutupan bekalan elektrik ke kawasan terlibat dibuat untuk sementara waktu demi memastikan keselamatan orang awam terjamin. Bekalan elektrik akan disambung semula setelah air banjir surut dan keadaan kembali selamat,” katanya lagi.
“Pengguna yang premis mereka dinaiki air juga perlu menghindari penggunaan sebarang peralatan elektrik dan perlu memastikan suis utama ditutup bagi mengurangkan kemungkinan renjatan elektrik berlaku.”
Ir. Mohd Aminuddin turut menasihatkan ibu bapa agar sentiasa mengawasi tindak-tanduk anak-anak mereka agar tidak menghampiri tiang elektrik yang tumbang atau wayar elektrik yang terputus semasa banjir kerana arus elektrik mungkin masih mengalir.
“Maklumkan kepada TNB supaya tindakan segera boleh dilakukan untuk membaiki kerosakan tersebut,” katanya sambil mengingatkan orang ramai untuk menjauhi kawasan di mana paras air naik dan mencecah talian TNB.
Beliau berkata, setelah banjir surut, suis elektrik dan perkakas elektrik yang terendam dalam air banjir perlu diperiksa dan diuji terlebih dahulu oleh kontraktor elektrik yang berdaftar dengan Suruhanjaya Tenaga sebelum digunakan semula.

TNB Research Sdn Bhd joint collaboration with South Korea’s KEPRI and Detik Aturan Sdn Bhd
TENAGA Nasional Bhd (TNB), through TNB Research Sdn Bhd has teamed up with two other companies on a demonstration plant that cleans and removes impurities from palm oil empty fruit bunches (EFB) used in the production of premium biomass pellet.

The pellet is manufactured as fuel for power generation.
TNB Research, together with KEPRI, the research institute of KEPCO, South Korea’s largest electric utility and Detik Aturan Sdn Bhd (DASB), a Malaysian biomass pellet producer, last Tuesday launched the demonstration plant, Malaysia’s first Biomass Water Washing Demonstration Plant.
TNB Research is a wholly-owned subsidiary and the research and development (R&D) arm of TNB. Presently, it is undertaking research activities and providing engineering services in developing the residue of palm oil industries to convert into high value-added products.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Detik Aturan Managing Director, Khairil Annuar Khalid described the company’s involvement in the project — by providing a location for the demonstration plant, as proof of its commitment towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
Meanwhile, KEPRI President, Dr. Sung Hwan Bae said as South Korea’s leading electrical technology developer, the institute was delighted to support the expansion of the potential of commercially high-value biomass pellet as fuel supply for power generation.
Managing Director of TNB Research, Ir. Dr. Zainul Asri Mamat, added: “Thanks to emerging technologies, the global biomass business is experiencing an era of rapid change.”
He said the collaborative effort on the demonstration plant would ensure that the biomass pellet industry remains at the forefront in leveraging those changes.
At the launch, the three parties also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote bilateral cooperation in technology, competency and capability as well as business opportunities on biomass business, worldwide.

Dikenali sebagai Masjid Al-Mansoriah itu dibina diatas tanah seluas 3 ekar oleh kontraktor tempatan yang dilantik dan berjaya menyiapkannya dalam tempoh 10 bulan seperti yang ditetapkan.
Pengerusi dan Ketua NGO Antarabangsa, Datuk Dr Mustapha Ahmad Marican berkata, masjid itu mempunyai keunikan tersendiri kerana kos pembinaannya yang paling murah iaitu USD100,000 dan warna masjid berilhamkan dari Masjid Sultan Mohamad ke-5 di Labuan, Sabah yang keseluruhannya berwarna biru.

“Justeru, saya menyeru penduduk Kampung Kabai ini dapat memanfaatkan sebaik mungkin kemudahan masjid ini dengan bekerjasama menjaga aspek kebersihan dan kesucian masjid ini selain menggunakannya untuk memupuk perpaduan sesama masyarakat Islam.
“Kampung ini juga mempunyai penduduk Islam dan bukan Islam tetapi mereka amat rapat misalnya setiap petang mereka bermain bolasepak bersama dan pergi ke kebun bersama.
“Inilah contoh yang perlu kita ikuti dan saya harap penduduk dapat menghidupkan masjid ini dengan pelbagai aktiviti keagamaan dan bergotong-royong membersihkan masjiid supaya masjid sentiasa bersih dan cantik,” katanya dalam kunjungan ke Kemboja, baru-baru ini.
Sementara itu, Ketua Kampung Kabai, Ayub Isa berkata, pihaknya amat berterima kasih kepada NGO Antarabangsa kerana usaha gigih menjadikan impian penduduk memiliki sebuah masjid menjadi kenyataan.
“Kami semua akan memastikan masjid ini dijaga dengan baik dan penduduk di sini sudah lama berharap mempunyai sebuah masjid. Hari ini kami bersyukur kerana mendapat sebuah masjid yang cantik berwarna biru dan warna ini jarang sekali kita lihat di Kemboja,” katanya.
Mustapha menambah, masjid itu adalah masjid ke-5 yang dibina oleh NGO Antarabangsa di Kemboja dan pihaknya akan berusaha membantu masyarakat Islam Kemboja tetapi pada masa sama berharap masyarakat Islam di negara ini juga berubah.
“Kita perlu berusaha dan jangan terlalu mengharap pada orang semata-mata. Kita mesti berubah untuk meningkatkan taraf kehidupan kita barulah kita boleh menjadi contoh daripada segi kerjasama, muafakat dan hidup dalam suasana harmoni.
“Saya juga berharap lebih ramai generasi muda dapat datang ke masjid kerana kita juga membina kemudahan tempat bersukan dan menggalakkan penduduk kampung berniaga setiap kali ada acara bermain bola sepak,” katanya sambil menambah ini adalah salah satu sumber pendapatan yang boleh dimanfaatkan oleh penduduk kampung.
