Pas Tanpa Had AirAsia – Terbang Sekerap Mungkin Selama Setahun!

WHO belum mengeluarkan sebarang sekatan perjalanan atau perdagangan.

Selangor Set To Host Region’s Biggest Business Event

The event is organised by the state government, via Invest Selangor Berhad (ISB) and endorsed by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corp or MATRADE.

SIBS 2020 will comprise four main components namely the 6th Selangor International Expo (SIE), the 4th Selangor-ASEAN Business Conference (SABC), the 5th Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Convention (SDEC) and the second Selangor R and D and Innovation Expo (SRIE).

The four-day summit, to be held for the fourth consecutive year this October, is targeting to attract over 40,000 visitors and 850 local and international booths, hence making it the biggest regional business event to be held in the country.

The 6th edition of the Selangor International Expo (SIE) will continue to be the biggest component of SIBS 2020.

“For the 2020 edition, the SIE will expand its international buyers’ programme from 141 buyers in 2019 to 300 from all over the world that are looking to expand their food and beverage products sourcing from ASEAN,” said Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Selangor’s State Executive Councillor for Investment, Industry and Commerce and SME, during the pocket talk on F&B Industry event in Selangor held recently.

Among the main highlights of the SIE 2020, 6th edition are Malaysia International Tea and Coffee Expo, Selangor International Culinary Festival and Selangor International Halal Conference.

The Malaysia International Tea and Coffee Expo, to be jointly organised by the MyTA, is expected to highlight the creme de la creme of the rapidly growing and diversifying beverages segment.

The Selangor International Culinary Festival 2020 will be featuring Worldchefs Endorsed Culinary Competition, where award-winning chefs will demonstrate their skills and creativity in recreating Selangor’s heritage cuisines.

The Selangor International Halal Conference will continue to be featured as one of the main programmes of SIE to bridge the gap between distributors, consumers and authorities with dialogues focusing on improving the current market access and latest requirements on Halal products.

“SABC 2020, the second component of SIBS 2020, is expected to be equally interesting with the gathering of economic players from several countries including high-profile business leaders, trade related associations and international investors.

“SABC 2020 aims to strengthen ties between ASEAN and non-ASEAN companies by providing valuable updates and guidance on business expansion into new markets, “said Teng.

The SDEC 2020, meanwhile, is expected to provide the opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs and corporate executives to share and discuss on the latest insights and prospects of Artificial Intelligence and FINTECH.

A prize presentation ceremony for Malaysia’s Top E-Commerce Merchants is also expected to be held on the final day of this component.

The SRIE 2020 completes the summit to solidify Selangor’s position and value in the global world of innovations by giving innovators a platform to integrate and create while encouraging direct peer engagement for higher levels of deal-making, co-investments, strategic partnerships and business networking.

Teng said that SIBS is one of the state’s key globalisation and trade initiative strategies to position Selangor as a prominent marketplace for entrepreneurs and investors to do businesses in the South East Asian region.

“It is also an initiative to position the state as a preferred investment destination across the region, making Selangor the Gateway to ASEAN,” he added.

He further reiterated that since its inception in 2015, SIBS welcomed nearly 100,000 visitors from over 50 countries, which has accumulated RM1.14 billion in negotiated transaction value.

PEUGEOT e208 GT

The New PEUGEOT 208 was named the 2020 Car of the Year on Monday, by a panel of judges made up of 60 European automotive journalists.

The panel acclaimed its engine range: electric, petrol or diesel powertrains provide customers with “the power of choice”.

PEUGEOT 208 GT Line

The jury also appreciated the bold design and technology of the New PEUGEOT 208. Already a best-seller, it is also the first PEUGEOT “2 series” to be awarded this most
prestigious prize.

Furthermore, the new PEUGEOT 208 is the sixth PEUGEOT to be named “Car of the Year”.
Car of the Year 2020, the new PEUGEOT 208 rewrites the book in the B segment. Available with either an Electric engine or an Internal Combustion engine, the New PEUGEOT 208 provides the power of choice to its future driver.

Its exterior design embodies the DNA of the Brand with the 3-claw LED front headlights. The carved wheel arches and rear wings are a nod to the «Sacred number».

The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ® (head-up display, compact steering wheel and touchscreen)
innovates with a 3D digital cluster, which is not only aesthetic but also improves safety.
The COTY 2020 rewards a Bestseller.

Nearly 110,000 customers have ordered the new PEUGEOT 208 since its launch in Europe in October. 15% of the mix are electric versions.

In France, the New PEUGEOT 208 leads the registration rankings of the PC market at the end of February 2020.

“I am particularly proud that the New PEUGEOT 208 has just won the 2020 Car of the Year prize. This trophy underlines the excellence of the work and great commitment of all the teams of the Brand and the Groupe PSA.

It’s the first time that a PEUGEOT “2 series” has triumphed! By the way, three PEUGEOT “Cars of the Year” are currently on road with the 3008 and the 308 alongside the new 208.

The COTY 2020 legitimates the Brand’s “power of choice” strategy. From now on, our customers will be able to choose between the electric PEUGEOT e-208 “Car of the
Year” and the (ICE) PEUGEOT 208 “Car of the Year”! Jean-Philippe IMPARATO, PEUGEOT
Brand CEO.

PEUGEOT enters the “top 3” of the brands with the most awards in the Car of the Year history, with six trophies. The New PEUGEOT 208, named Car of the Year 2020, follows the SUV 3008 in 2017, the compact hatch 308 in 2014, the 307 in 2002, the 405 in 1988 and the 504 in 1969.

This prestigious trophy joins the twelve other international awards the New PEUGEOT 208 has already won.

The Car of the Year award is the most coveted. The panel of judges comprises 60 automotive expert journalists from 23 European countries. Founded in 1964, the award is the longest-running and most renowned European prize.

The winner is announced every year at the Geneva International Motor Show.

TIME Posts Healthy Revenue Growth Driven By Wholesale And Retail Contribution

TIME dotCom Berhad (TIME) closed the financial year ended 31 December 2019 (“FY2019”) with a consolidated revenue of RM1,113.9 million, a 13.3% increase over the RM983.4 million recorded in FY2018.

Revenue growth was recorded across all core customer groups, led by Wholesale and Retail
customers. Excluding one-off revenues from non-recurring contracts, the data and data centre businesses recorded year-on-year growth of 16.6% and 2.4%, respectively.

In FY2019, profit before tax grew to RM328.1 million, representing a 7.6% increase over the same period for the preceding year (FY2018: RM304.8 million). On an adjusted basis, excluding the impact of foreign exchange and one-off items, FY2019 profit before tax grew 21% year-on-year.

The increase can be attributed to higher overall revenues, a higher share of profit from
investments in associates and a higher interest income in the current reporting year.

“2019 was another challenging year for the industry. However, by staying focused, we were able to deliver yet another year of healthy numbers to our shareholders,” said Afzal Abdul Rahim, TIME’s Commander-in-Chief.

The dynamics faced by the telecommunications industry in 2019 will likely be carried forward into 2020. While the main focus is a concerted effort in improving nationwide broadband connectivity, the industry has had to concurrently adjust to shifts in technology as well as enduring global macro-economic headwinds.

The Group remains steadfast in its strategy to face the rapidly evolving telecommunications
environment and will continue to strengthen and improve its existing domestic fibre network infrastructure while intensifying efforts to expand its coverage footprint throughout the country.

On the regional front, the Group will continue working with its partners in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia to tap on increasing demand for cross border connectivity across the ASEAN region.

The Group will also assess opportunities to further establish itself as a key regional data centre player and operator with the intention to unlock the long term potential of its data centre business.

For the financial year under review, TIME declared an ordinary interim and a special interim tax exempt (single tier) dividend of 9.95 sen and 19.08 sen per ordinary share respectively, which will be paid out on 31 March 2020.
