SME Corp Malaysia Bekerjasama Dengan PPZ-MAIWP Bagi Mudahkan PKS Bayar Zakat

SME Corp. Malaysia, agensi di bawah Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi (MEDAC) telah mengadakan kerjasama dengan Pusat Pungutan Zakat-Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP) bagi memudahkan PKS membuat pembayaran zakat perniagaan.

Susulan kerjasama ini, Majlis Zakat Usahawan 2020 telah dianjurkan di Dewan Mahkota,
SME Corp Malaysia yang bertujuan untuk menggalakkan PKS di bawah naungan SME Corp Malaysia untuk membayar zakat perniagaan mereka di PPZ-MAIWP, selain memberikan maklumat mengenai zakat perniagaan secara terus kepada usahawan yang menjalankan perniagaan di Wilayah Persekutuan.

Bersempena dengan Majlis ini, sijil perakuan pembayaran zakat telah diserahkan kepada kesemua 20 syarikat PKS di bawah naungan SME Corp. Malaysia yang telah membayar zakat perniagaan di PPZ-MAIWP dengan jumlah keseluruhan sebanyak RM114,150.

Membayar zakat merupakan kewajipan yang dituntut di kalangan umat Islam. Justeru itu, penyerahan sijil zakat perniagaan ini secara tidak langsung dapat memberikan keyakinan kepada para pelanggan mengenai urusniaga syarikat, seterusnya membantu memberi pulangan yang lebih positif terhadap syarikat-syarikat PKS tersebut.

Pada tahun 2019, SME Corp. Malaysia telah menjalinkan kerjasama dengan MAIWP melalui Program Tunas Usahawan Baitulmal (TUB) yang bertujuan untuk mentransformasikan usahawan asnaf MAIWP “Dari Penerima Zakat ke Pembayar Zakat” melalui latihan keusahawanan.

Dengan menggunapakai konsep dan model Program Tunas Usahawan Belia Bumiputera, Program TUB telah membantu meningkatkan operasi perniagaan 84 usahawan asnaf.

Program ini telah menerima maklumbalas yang positif dan akan diteruskan lagi pada tahun 2020 dengan sasaran seramai 100 usahawan asnaf lagi untuk dibangunkan.

Turut diadakan semasa Majlis Zakat Usahawan 2020 ialah Slot Penceramah Jemputan yang disampaikan oleh Ustaz Fauzi Mustafa bertajuk “Halal Haram Dalam Perniagaan”. Di antara tetamu yang hadir di Majlis Zakat Usahawan 2020 ini ialah Zaky Moh, Ketua Pegawai Bahagian Pembangunan Kluster SME Corp Malaysia dan Ahmad Shukri Yusoff, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PPZ-MAIWP.

1. Project Girls for Girls (G4G) – Internal

Conceptualised at Harvard Kennedy School in 2016, G4G was born with a clear vision to help young women develop the courage, vision, and skills to take on public leadership by mobilising female leaders to inspire and support the next generation to play a greater role in leadership.

Through an exclusive collaboration with the Malaysia chapter of Project G4G, AirAsia kickstarts a mentorship circle. Open to all female Allstars, ten aspiring young women will be selected to join a 7-week program run by trained mentors covering seven modules and topics including leadership, arts of communications, negotiation skills, to name a few.

2. Girls’ Support Platform – Internal

A curated internal support programme for female Allstars, this programme is focusing on pairing trailblazing and inspiring female mentors with mentees through various touchpoints. This platform will see meaningful conversations exchange and serve as an inspiration to build women’s capability at the workplace and outside of work.

A. MentorHub, a virtual hub that allows mentor and mentee to meet and be paired up
B. Masterclass sessions on selected topics with tools and guidance
C. Networking sessions that connect participants with female leaders with various background and depth of experiences

3. Back To Work Scheme – External

A career comeback scheme is set to be introduced in Q4 to support and assist women who sacrificed their careers for beloved families, targeting women with career gaps of at least a year. Under this scheme, participants can look forward to guidance on essential and useful workplace skills for career advancement including CV writing, interview know-how as well as career tips from AirAsia female leaders. The scheme serves as an inspiration and confidence booster for career comeback moms. Stay tuned for more details.

4. empowerHER Workshop – External

When women have equal access to information and opportunity, anything is possible. ‘empowerHER’ is an initiative organised in partnership with Google, based on Google’s ‘Women Will’ programme, that focuses on digital programmes for economic empowerment for women across the world.

The initiative also addresses the gaps in information and empowerment to help where women are being excluded. Targeting 150 female participants, this comprehensive one-day workshop seeks to aid women to be better equipped with digital literacy, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

These participants will involve SMEs who are currently working with and supported by Teleport, Ourshop, Santan as well as those recommended by the respective ministries in ASEAN that work with female entrepreneurs.

Jaguar F-Pace Partnered With Canon To Make First Film Using EOS C500 Mark II

Jaguar has partnered with Canon to make the first film using their new 5.9K EOS C500 Mark II camera, capturing the dynamic performance of the award-winning F-PACE

Jaguar has teamed up with Canon Europe to capture the F-PACE in cinematic 5.9K clarity using the latest camera technology.

Dynamic footage of Jaguar’s performance SUV was captured during the professional debut of the new Canon EOS C500 Mark II camera.

The film captures the F-PACE range – including the 550PS, V8 supercharged SVR model –
and its breadth of luxury and performance. The F-PACE SVR showcased its dynamic ability,
courtesy of its specially tuned chassis, on the twisting hairpin bends of Velefique, southern
Spain. The powerful SVR accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Jaguar worked with Canon to build the ultimate camera vehicle for the shoot. The crew
rigged an F-PACE with a highly-advanced Russian Arm – a remote-controlled camera crane
– fitted with Canon’s new EOS camera. The vehicle was covered in a purposeful matte black body wrap to minimise reflections in the subject vehicles during filming.

Andy Hunt Cooke, Jaguar Global Brand Communications, said: “Filming a technologically
advanced and powerful SUV like F-PACE calls for a state-of-the-art camera system. It’s a

Just as the professional-quality camera can be fine-tuned to suit a variety of complex filming tasks, customers can also personalise the driving experience of F-PACE using Jaguar’s Configurable Dynamics. The intuitive technology allows drivers to tailor the vehicle set-up to suit their personal preference by choosing Normal or Sports settings for the suspension, throttle response, gearbox and steering.

F-PACE features double-wishbone front and Integral Link rear suspension to provide
dynamic handling and comfort; attributes which helped the camera rig maintain its
composure on the twisting mountain roads.

The Advanced Electronic Image Stabilisation of the Canon EOS C500 Mark II and Dual Pixel
Auto Focus functionality ensured both SUVs remained perfectly in focus throughout, with the camera suspended from the highly manoeuvrable arm of the crane system.

The new camera shoots 5.9K quality footage at up to 60 frames per second. When travelling at its 283km/h top speed, the F-PACE SVR covers 78.7 metres every second, which means the performance SUV would travel just 1.31m in the time taken for the advanced new camera to capture a single frame.

The state-of-the-art EOS C500 Mark II is a 5.9K Full Frame professional camera that delivers enhanced flexibility and efficiency and is powered by Canon’s new DIGIC DV 7 processor.

Revealed at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam in September, it is the first camera in the range with the ability to record 5.9K Cinema RAW Light onto new, faster storage CFexpress cards.

The new device is also the first Cinema EOS System camera to feature a user-interchangeable lens-mount, giving film professionals a wide range of lenses to choose from.

NGO Antarabangsa Lalui Saat Mencemaskan Ketika Berada Di Delhi, India

Pengalaman berharga selaku Pengerusi NGO Antarabangsa ketika melakukan lawatan ke  India pada 25 Februari lalu berdepan konflik antara penganut Hindu dan Islam.

Lawatan anjuran Persatuan India Muslim di negara itu bertujuan mengenali lebih dekat masyarakat Islam India di Delhi, Madras, Nagore, Karaikal dan Truchirappli.

Tujuan lawatan ialah melihat sekolah tahfiz, masjid bersejarah dan makam para wali di India sejak ribuan tahun dulu apabila Islam berkembang melalui pedagang Arab dari Yemen dan berkahwin dengan penduduk tempatan akhirnya Islam berkembang meluas diserata negeri di India.

“Pengalaman berharga setelah saya tiba di Delhi dan melawat beberapa Kampung orang Islam yang kadang kala bercampur dengan masyarakat Hindu.

“Saya amat terkejut apabila berlaku rusuhan melibatkan agama di mana pelampau Hindu yang disokong oleh Perdana Menteri India ketika ini ke atas orang Islam di Delhi.

“Sungguh mengerikan kerana pembunuhan berlaku ke atas orang Islam tanpa belas kasihan apabila orang tua, kanak-kanak dan wanita dibunuh dihadapan sekumpulan pengganas Hindu dengan parang, cangkul kayu dan batang besi,” katanya ketika menceritakan detik cemas kepada Prebiu.com.

Pengerusi NGO Antarabangsa, Datuk Dr Mustapha Ahmad Marican berkata, kejadian mencemaskan itu turut mengakibatkan masjid dibakar, kedai milik orang Islam dirompak dan perkampungan Islam juga dibakar.

“Ini pengalaman saya yang baru tiba dari India di Malaysia semalam. Sungguh menakutkan dan menyedihkan malah di negara kita Malaysia masyarakat bukan Islam boleh hidup aman damai, bebas untuk berniaga dan berpolitik.

“Di India, orang islam tidak ada jawatan penting dalam kerajaan, ini yang dapat saya sendiri lihat malah banyak tempat tidak dapat dikunjungi kerana keganasan yang berlaku bukan lagi cerita rekaan tetapi hakikat.

“Malah media India tidak melaporkan insiden ini melalui saluran televisyen atau suratkhabar tempatan tetapi hanya diketahui menerusi media sosial dan media antarabangsa yang banyak melaporkan kejadian ini,” katanya.

Beliau yang turut mempersoalkan tindakan kerajaan India yang tidak dapat mengawal pembunuhan ke atas orang Islam itu berkata, tragedi ini pernah berlaku di Gurjerat, India membabitkan pembunuhan beramai-ramai di wilayah itu sebelum ini.

Memberi contoh negara Kemboja misalnya, Perdana Menteri Hun Sen memberi layanan istimewa kepada masyarakat Islam dengan memberi jawatan menter dan timbalan gabenor iaitu jawatan dalam kerajaan kepada golongan minoriti di negara itu.

Menceritakan semula bagaimana beliau berjaya keluar dari konflik pertempuran antara penganut Hindu dan masyarakat Islam, Mustapha berkata, dia berjaya keluar seorang diri dengan bantuan anggota polis unit khas beragama Islam.

“Saya menaiki kereta menuju ke bandar Madras selama beberapa jam namun berdepan masalah apabila tiket kapal terbang untuk pulang ke Malaysia sukar diperolehi di Madras menyebabkan saya tinggal di sana selama tiga hari sebelum menuju ke Trichy.

“Dalam kesempatan berada di Nagore, saya sempat mengunjungi sebuah makam wali Allah dan melihat sendiri beratus-ratus orang melawat makam itu bukan sahaja orang Islam malah penganut Hindu yang mempercayai doa-doa mereka akan dikabulkan Tuhan.

“Saya juga sempat ke Karaikal yang turut menempatkan sebuah lagi makam wali Allah bersebelahan masjid tertua di daerah itu sebelum meneruskan perjalanan selama lima jam untuk ke Truchirappuli sebelum menaiki pesawat kapal Malindo Air jam 12 malam dari India,” katanya.

The first day of the roadshow saw many Samsung fans and tech enthusiasts bring home a new Galaxy S20, along with a free Samsung Wireless Charger Pad and a 128GB Samsung MicroSD Memory Card worth a total of RM378.

The first in line was Colin Chong, a 34-year-old Compliance Officer at a local bank. He arrived in Mid Valley Megamall over 24 hours early to survey the roadshow area just to ensure his eligibility to bring home a new 4K Samsung TV.

“I arrived in Mid Valley at around 8:30am just to see if there were other customers lining up. But since nothing was set up yet, I went home to rest and came back at around 4:30pm, and finally made a line at around 8:00pm. It’s been a long night, but surprisingly I still feel great,” he said.

“I’ve been a Samsung user since the Galaxy S7 and to me, the Galaxy S20 is a big upgrade over its predecessors. I chose the Ultra variant because of its 5G and awesome camera capabilities.

To be the first consumer in KL to touch the Galaxy S20 is special and exciting. The 4K TV is a great add-on to! This will go to my parents-in-law, as I think they definitely needed an upgrade over their old cathode-ray tube (CRT) TV,” he laughed.

“I’m extremely happy with my purchase of the S20 Ultra, especially because its display finally has a 120Hz refresh rate,” he added.

The Galaxy S20 series has caught the eyes of many video and content creators as well, as testified by local YouTubers Paan Hanz and Faiz Zainal.

“As an on-the-go content creator, I’ve liked Samsung’s camera and video functions for a long time now.

I’ve been a die-hard Note series user ever since the Galaxy Note 2, but decided to finally go for the S20 Ultra as it has many features I’ve been dreaming of in a Samsung phone, such as the 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 108MP camera with Space Zoom, 5,000 mAh battery, the Exynos 990 processor, and of course 5G capabilities,” said Paan Hanz, a 27-year-old tech YouTuber.

Faiz Zainal, a 26-year-old who works in the media industry, noted that this was his first time lining up for a Samsung flagship at a consumer roadshow, adding that the free 50” 4K TV was too good of a deal to pass on.

“My new TV will go into my room. It’s going to be a big part of my life moving forward, as I’ll definitely be going on Netflix every night before I sleep!” he said. “As for my new Galaxy S20+, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. NAZA TTDI Forges New Partnership Deal With Exsim For KL Metropolis Development

MET 6 is the latest component of KL Metropolis to begin development with the joint venture signing between TTDI KL Metropolis Sdn Bhd; a wholly owned subsidiary of Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, and EXSIM Development Sdn Bhd.

The agreement was signed between SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin, Deputy Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of Naza TTDI; and Lim Aik Hoe, Managing Director of EXSIM to develop this land plot with an estimated gross development value of RM800 million.

Under the joint development agreement, Ivory Interpoint Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of EXSIM,
will be granted the rights on the 1.86-acre land to develop a premium service apartment
complete with a retail podium where comfort living and convenience meet.

Developed By Local Talents ADaPT Accurately Predicts Mechanical Damage

PETRONAS announced a breakthrough invention, Advance Diagnostic and Prognostic Technology (ADaPT), a digital solution that predicts mechanical damage at various facilities to prevent unplanned plant shutdown and revenue loss.

Developed by local talents, the technology is a quantum leap in structure health monitoring and has the potential to be used at facilities beyond the energy sector, including construction, shipping, aeronautics, motorsports and automobiles.

ADaPT replaces manual, conventional inspections by predicting structural and mechanical cracks through continuous online monitoring, offering accurate prediction based on pressure, temperature and flow patterns.

It detects the early signs of mechanical damage allowing prediction of asset’s remaining life expectancy and avoids unplanned shutdown of plants.

ADaPT was launched by PETRONAS Project Delivery & Technology Senior Vice President Samsudin Miskon, accompanied by PETRONAS Project Delivery & Technology Head of Group Technical Solutions (GTS) Khairol Anuar Shukri and PETRONAS Chemicals MTBE Sdn Bhd (PCMTBE) Chief Executive Officer Azlimi M Lazim.

The digital solution is a collaboration involving GTS, PCMTBE and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, which began in January 2018.

Khairol said ADaPT is the result of PETRONAS’ innovation capability underpinned by a passion for technological advancement in its operational culture. “The fruition of ADaPT, with its high performance and accuracy, is another testament to PETRONAS’ commitment as a progressive energy and solutions partner,” he said.

Meanwhile, Azlimi said with ADaPT, PCMTBE has optimised plant efficiency by planning around the predicted remaining life expectancy.

“The digital solution had successfully avoided the unplanned shutdown that could have cost us RM30 million. It had also increased PCMTBE’s production by seven per cent, worth RM63 million, from April 2019 to December 2019,” he added.

PETRONAS welcomes partnerships to deploy ADaPT as the application is not limited to the energy sector.
