50 units of City are allocated to ease the travel challenges of frontliners*
Honda Malaysia announced its collaboration with SOCAR Mobility Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SOCAR) to provide 50 units of Honda City to frontliners* who are also Honda customers.
This programme is initiated for Honda customers (frontliners) who are unable to use their vehicles during this difficult time, in order to help ease their travel challenges. Available for one-month duration of usage, this collaboration with the car-sharing platform provides mobility aid for the frontliners.
Honda Malaysia appreciates the brave spirit as well as self-sacrifice of the frontliners and wants to extend moral support to them by easing their mobility situation and journey from home to their workplace.
Honda Malaysia hopes this initiative with SOCAR can reduce the transportation hassle of
frontliners, and thus, contribute to them performing their jobs with more peace-of-mind.

After a brief shutdown due to a nationwide lockdown, Malindo Air will resume its domestic services from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang from 27 April 2020 with a single daily flight to each of the domestic destinations that it operates to in Malaysia.
Fares are from RM199 one-way for domestic travel within Peninsular Malaysia from Subang to Penang; Langkawi; Alor Setar; Kota Bharu; Kuala Terengganu; and Johor Baharu.
Fares from KLIA to Kuching are at RM299 one-way economy class and RM499 oneway business class; RM399 one-way economy class and RM699 one-way business class from KLIA to Kota Kinabalu; whereas fares from KLIA to Penang are at RM159 one-way economy class and RM399 one-way business class.
Malindo Air will resume its first services flight OD 1012 from KLIA to Kota Kinabalu and from flight OD 1606 from KLIA to Kuching, with both flights departing simultaneously at 07:15am on 27 April.
The flights are deployed to meet the demands and ease the journey back home by our fellow Malaysians especially students who have been stranded in campuses since the lockdown began.
Passengers are required to have face masks with them failing which they have to purchase one before being allowed boarding.
Malindo Air, which serves most of the airports in Peninsular Malaysia and in Sabah and Sarawak, had shut down its operations during the lockdown period since March 18, 2020.
Its operation during the lockdown period was strictly meant for rescue flights with Wisma Putra repatriating Malaysians stranded overseas and medical supplies cargo movement from China.
However, for the time being, all international flights from KLIA remain banned.

Komuniti autisme, sebagai contoh adalah di antara mereka yang terkesan dan memerlukan perhatian serta kesedaran yang tinggi terutamanya dalam menghadapi keadaan semasa yang sangat mencabar serta penuh dengan risiko.
Sehubungan itu, Universiti Putra Malaysia dengan kerjasama GENIUS Kurnia, telah melancarkan ‘Kempen Kesedaran Autisme’ dengan mengadakan beberapa aktiviti kesedaran dalam bentuk cabaran mingguan sempena Bulan Autisme Sedunia.
Aktiviti-aktiviti yang mengandungi empat cabaran mingguan hanya dilaksanakan melalui talian dan terbuka kepada semua rakyat Malaysia bermula dari 20 April hingga 17 Mei 2020.
Kempen ini bertujuan untuk membina dan membentuk sebuah masyarakat yang prihatin terhadap komuniti autisme dengan menyertai pelbagai aktiviti interaktif yang kini terbuka kepada semua lapisan etnik tanpa had umur.
Pihak penganjur percaya bahawa ini adalah masa yang sangat tepat bagi menarik perhatian khalayak bagi mewujudkan suasana positif serta membarakan kesedaran terhadap komuniti autisme.
Ini kerana rakyat Malaysia yang kini berada di rumah berikutan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) demi memastikan keselamatan diri sendiri serta orang tercintanya. Kempen ini telah dilancarkan secara rasmi pada 20 April 2020.
Penasihat Projek dan Pensyarah Komunikasi dari Fakulti Bahasa Moden dan Komunikasi UPM, Profesor Madya Dr Nurul ‘Ain Mohd Hasandi berkata, “Kesedaran masyarakat mengenai autisme meningkat dalam lima tahun kebelakangan ini dan terdapat pelbagai perkara yang dapat kami lakukan untuk membantu membina kesefahaman antara masyarakat dan orang ramai.
PKP ini memberikan kita peluang yang sungguh baik untuk berhubung dengan komuniti autisme dalam bentuk cabaran dan sesi perkongsian cerita melalui media sosial. Rakyat Malaysia diuar-uarkan untuk melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti-aktiviti menarik yang dianjurkan oleh pihak kami bagi memastikan masanya diluangkan dengan aktiviti yang berfaedah serta sebagai suatu inisiatif membentuk platform pendidikan”.
“Pada tahun lepas, kami telah menganjurkan ‘UPM Autism Fun Run’ yang telah memberikan pengalaman yang sungguh menarik dan berfaedah serta dana yang dikumpulkan telah disalurkan kepada GENIUS Kurnia untuk membantu meningkatkan kemudahan pusatnya.
Pada tahun ini, bagi meneruskan kesinambungan usaha tahun lepas, pihak kami melaksanakan kempen atas talian untuk membangkit kesedaran serta mengumpulkan dana bagi GENIUS Kurnia untuk membolehkan mereka meneruskan pendidikan yang berkualiti dan cemerlang serta intervensi awal kepada kanak-kanak autisme demi mempersiapkan dan melatih mereka untuk menghadapi cabaran ketika berada di sekolah arus Perdana kelak.
“Kami percaya bahawa rakyat Malaysia yang prihatin akan sentiasa terbuka dan bersedia untuk membantu kanak-kanak Autisme serta keluarganya dengan melibatkan diri sepenuhnya. Maka, kami teruskan sokongan ikhlas kami buat komuniti austime pada tahun ini juga”, katanya.
UPM dan GENIUS Kurnia berharap bahawa dana yang secukupnya dapat dikumpulkan tahun ini daripada organisasi-organisasi korporat serta individu untuk terus mendidik dan menyumbang kepada kesejahteraan kanak-kanak autisme melalui kempen yang dilancarkan.
Mereka juga berharap untuk memastikan kanak-kanak tersebut tidak ketinggalan hanya kerana sedikit perbezaan fizikal antara mereka dengan orang lain.
Sementara itu, Pengarah GENIUS Kurnia, Profesor Madya Dr Hasnah Toran berkata, “Kami sangat gembira dan berterima kasih atas kesudian pihak UPM menuju kehadapan untuk mengumpul dana melalui Cabaran Mingguan dalam talian yang telah dilancarkan.
Beliau berkata, ini demi kesejahteraan kanak-kanak Autisme serta keluarganya yang menandakan tahun kedua kerjasama kami antara pihak UPM berikutan ‘UPM Autism Fun Run’ pada tahun lepas.
Kami berharap bahawa lebih banyak organisasi korporat akan tampil kehadapan untuk membantu kami dengan menyumbangkan sedikit sebanyak dana demi manfaat buat pendidikan anak-anak kami ”.

Sebagai usaha membantu kerajaan memutuskan rantaian penularan wabak COVID-19, PPZ-MAIWP menggalakkan urusan pembayaran zakat dilakukan secara dalam talian melalui pautan www.zakat.com.my.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PPZ-MAIWP, Ahmad Shukri Yusoff berkata, segala urusan pembayaran, semakan, kiraan zakat serta cetakan resit rasmi boleh dilakukan di pautan ini.
Selain itu, PPZ-MAIWP juga baru sahaja melancarkan portal bagi pembayaran zakat fitrah secara dalam talian melalui pautan fitrah.zakat.com.my.
Portal ini diwujudkan atas dasar cakna dengan keperluan semasa untuk memudahkan orang ramai dalam menunaikan kewajipan Rukun Islam ketiga dengan lebih cepat, mudah dan selamat hanya menggunakan gajet dari rumah.
PPZ-MAIWP juga akan membuka lima cawangan kaunter bermula 1 Ramadan bagi memberi kemudahan kepada pembayar yang kurang mahir menggunakan platform digital atau dalam talian.
Lima kaunter yang terlibat ialah Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Wangsa Maju, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Putrajaya Presint 15 Diplomatik dan Labuan.
Kaunter akan dibuka pada hari Isnin hingga Jumaat sepanjang Ramadan bermula jam 9.00 pagi hingga 3.00 petang. Pembayaran zakat di semua kaunter PPZ-MAIWP boleh dibuat secara tunai, cek, kad debit dan kad kredit perbankan Islam.
Dalam usaha mencegah penularan wabak COVID-19, PPZ-MAIWP akan mengambil langkah-langkah pencegahan seperti yang disarankan oleh Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) dalam memastikan keselamatan semua pelanggan dan warga kerja PPZ-MAIWP terjamin.
Antara saluran lain yang turut disediakan oleh PPZ-MAIWP adalah melalui ejen-ejen sah yang dilantik oleh PPZ-MAIWP iaitu empat belas (14) perbankan internet, PayHalal, MyEG, Pos Online dan juga pembayaran menggunakan e-wallet melalui U Mobile dan juga Boost.

Mereka juga boleh memilih untuk memandu uji selama tiga jam tanpa kehadiran perunding jualan menerusi tawaran pandu uji Renault oleh GoCar yang boleh didapati di lebih 250 lokasi seluruh negara.
Apabila pelanggan mahu meneruskan langganan, mereka hanya perlu masuk semula ke Renault E-Store untuk memuat naik dokumen sokongan dan melihat status permohonan.
Pelanggan akan diberitahu tentang kelulusan langgaran mereka oleh Pasukan Digital Renault dalam masa lima hari permohonan dibuat.
Sebaik sahaja diluluskan, pelanggan boleh membuat bayaran deposit dan baki caj bulanan
pertama. Selain menguruskan bayaran bulanan berikutnya melalui E-Store.
Menerusi perkhidmatan rencam yang ditawarkan dalam Renault E-Store, pelanggan di Lembah Klang juga boleh memohon penghantaran percuma dari rumah-ke rumah untuk Renault Pre-Owned Captur Subscription.
Jadi mereka boleh terus duduk dengan selamat di rumah. Penghantaran akan dibuat sebaik sahaja PKP ditamatkan.

Giant Malaysia is teaming up with The Lost Food Project (TFLP) to distribute a month’s essential food supply to 26 charity homes affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This initiative will benefit 1,422 recipients from homes for elderly, disabled, orphanages, orang asal, single mothers and refugees.
In recognition of the challenges many people are facing due to the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO), Giant is stepping up its efforts in giving back to the community, in particular to those in charity homes who have been affected by the pandemic where access to resources face challenges.
Beneficiaries of this initiative will receive a months’ worth of food essentials such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, onions and potatoes to tide them over the MCO period, with plans for further support if required.
GCH Retail spokesperson said, “As one of the few essential services allowed to operate, we want to help the more vulnerable communities during this MCO period to ensure that their needs are not forgotten.

CSR Programme to Help Healthcare Front-liners Stay Safe on the Road
PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB), via its subsidiary, PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (PLMM) is setting up mobile car service workshops at Hospital Sungai Buloh, University of Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur between 20 and 28 April 2020 to provide convenient auto services to healthcare front-liners during this restricted period.
The initiative is part of PETRONAS’ corporate social responsibility programme in easing the burden of front-liners battling the COVID-19 pandemic, and to help them stay safe on the road.
During this period, the Company will be offering free PETRONAS Syntium lubricant change for car engines, carried out by its appointed service provider, RessQ60Min powered by MyAssist.
Other services such as change of battery, oil or aircond filter and wipers are also made available at a chargeable rate.
PETRONAS will also be extending the same service at three of its AutoExpert outlets located in Sri Kembangan, Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam to cater to healthcare front-liners who are within 10 kilometers of the vicinity.
PDB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Azrul Osman Rani said, “PETRONAS appreciates the dedication and sacrifices made by the front-liners during these challenging times.
Apart from the contribution of medical equipment and supplies, as well as food and beverage supply made earlier by the Group, we have now expanded it to include car servicing.
“We want them to be safe on the roads, and provide them with the comfort that their car is well-taken care of while they focus on attending to the patients.”
Earlier, PETRONAS Group, through its corporate social responsibility arm Yayasan PETRONAS, contributed RM20 million worth of medical equipment and supplies to help hospitals and healthcare front-liners mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia.
The Group had also reached out to 800 deserving families through a special initiative, the Sentuhan Kasih COVID-19 programme, providing food aid to the B40 community in Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Kelantan to ease their burden during the Movement Control Order period.
PDB has also been contributing cartons of Mesra Mineral Water and Mesra Bites buns to medical staff stationed at the COVID-19 Screening Centre at Hospital Sungai Buloh.
Additionally, the Company also contributed cartons of Mesra Mineral Water to University of Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Polis Diraja Malaysia and St. John Ambulance, as well as Mesra Bites buns to the Malaysian army.
