Naza Italia presents the Maserati GranTurismo

Naza Italia unveiled the 2024 Maserati GranTurismo today, which marks the return of a Maserati icon created 75 years ago with the A6 1500.

The GranTurismo coupé combines the high performance typical of a sports car with comfort suitable for long distances, in the powerful internal combustion engine and the most innovative 100% electric solutions.

It represents a benchmark, embodying the concept of “The Others Just Travel” that takes the House of the Trident forward into the future with the first car in the brand’s history to adopt a 100% electric powertrain.

From an aesthetic point of view, the GranTurismo design represents an ideal balance between beauty and functionality, without ostentation. Its undeniably unique and immediately recognisable lines present a pure shape suitable to cover best-in-class mechanics, emphasising the purity of its forms and refined design cues.

The classic proportions of the brand’s cars have been maintained, with the long bonnet and the central body intersected by the four fenders. Conversely, the roof line drops dynamically to emphasise the curve of the pillar that features the iconic Trident logo.

Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab and produced at the Mirafiori manufacturing hub in Turin, the GranTurismo is 100% made in Italy and epitomises “Italian luxury performance”, a concept typical of all Maserati models.

Speaking during the unveiling, Azwan Yahya, Chief Operating Officer, for Maserati in Malaysia said: “Following the successful global launch of the GranTurismo in October 2022, we are thrilled to introduce it here in Malaysia.

“We are pleased and excited to see that the GranTurismo is a highly anticipated and desired luxury coupé here as well. It is available in two versions of the revolutionary V6 Nettuno engine: the Modena, with 490-hp 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo; and the high-performance Trofeo based on the same engine and upgraded to a maximum power of 550 hp.

It will also be available in a 100% electric battery-based powertrain in the GranTurismo Folgore later this year. We believe this will be a sports car that everyone is looking for,” he said.

In terms of technical architecture, the new model is the result of an innovative project that makes extensive use of lightweight materials such as aluminium and magnesium, together with high-performance steel.

Such a multi-material approach required new manufacturing processes to be created, resulting in best-in-class weight levels.

This approach is paired with new Atlantis High electrical/electronic architecture, based on canFD messages sent at speeds of up to 2 ms. The system also comes with advanced level 5 cyber-security and flash-over-the-air features.

The fulcrum is the Vehicle Domain Control Module (VDCM) master controller, a 100% Maserati project consisting of the software that provides 360° control of all the most important car systems for the best driving experience in all conditions.

In the interior, the Maserati GranTurismo’s modern cabin is equipped with Innovative systems, including the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, the latest infotainment, a comfort display that brings together the main functions in an integrated touchscreen interface, a digital clock, the Heads-up Display (available as an option) and the exceptional Sonus faber Audio system.

The GranTurismo also offers an “all-round sound experience” guaranteed by the iconic signature sound of the Maserati engine, even in the electric version thanks to innovative work by engineers at the Maserati Innovation Lab.

The sound experience is completed by the immersive Sonus faber sound system. Designed
and made by Sonus faber, the Italian artisans of sound, the GranTurismo offers two different audio configurations: the standard Premium audio system featuring 14 speakers and 2D surround, with an output of 860 W for a unique natural sound experience; and the optional High Premium audio system with 19 speakers, 2D and 3D surround sound with a powerful amplification, up to 1,195 W for depth of field and truly unique roundness of sound.

Both systems offer different pre-sets for an enhanced sound experience. Sportiness, luxury, and comfort: by focusing on customer requests from the earliest stages of development
onwards, the new GranTurismo is enabling Maserati to solve the impossible equation of combining sports performance with comfort suitable for long distances, both with powerful internal combustion engines and with the most innovative 100% electric solutions, thereby representing a benchmark in the segment.

Masyarakat Islam di Malaysia baru-baru ini dikejutkan dengan kemunculan satu ajaran sesat menggunakan nama ‘The Ahmadi Religion Peace and Light’ atau ‘Ahmadi Agama Keamanan dan Cahaya’ yang dikepalai oleh seorang individu mengaku bahawa dirinya ialah Imam al-Mahdi dengan menggunakan gelaran Abdullah Hashem Aba al-Sadiq. Manakala pendeta (bishop) mereka di Malaysia dan Indonesia bernama Kashfullah Bin Amaluddin.

Ajaran sesat ini aktif melakukan pelbagai platform media sosial. Namun mereka menjadi agak popular melalui penstriman langsung (live stream) di platform TikTok.

Ketua Pengarah Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM), Prof Madya Dato’ Dr Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil berkata, kebimbangan tercetus kerana akaun Tiktok tersebut mempunyai pengikut lebih 30,000 pengikut (followers) dan mempunyai jumlah penonton yang ramai selain menggunakan Bahasa Malaysia sebagai bahasa komunkasi mereka.

Menurut laporan, mereka difahami dan beroperasi di luar negara. Di aplikasi YouTube pula, saluran (channel) The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) mempunyai seramai 24.3K pengikut (subscribers) dan 275 video.

“Ajaran ini menyeru orang ramai agar turut menjadi pengikut Imam al-Mahdi dan pemimpin-pemimpin Imam Mahdi yang didakwa telah muncul masa kini; mereka juga mempercayai penjelmaan semula (reincarnation), juga mempercayai bahawa utusan-utusan Tuhan itu terdiri daripada pelbagai manusia yang hebat daripada pelbagai agama seperti Nabi Ibrahim, Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Zeus, Moses, Aristotle, Socrates, Pythagoras, Plato, Nabi Isa and Nabi Muhammad SAW,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini, hari ini.

Falsafah dan konsep ajaran ini jelas mengandungi banyak percanggahan dengan ajaran Islam, dan bersifat plularisma agama. Walaupun luarannya seolah-olah menampakkan ianya berbaur ajaran Islam, tetapi orang yang memiliki sedikit ilmu pengetahuan ajaran Islam pasti menyedari ajaran ini jelas menyalahi ajaran Islam yang sebenar.

Pihak IKIM ingin menegaskan bahawa Ajaran the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) yang didapati disebarkan secara dalam talian pada masa ini merupakan ajaran sesat yang tiada kaitan dengan ajaran Islam, walaupun kandungannya dilihat banyak memetik ayat-ayat al-Qur’an, dan al-Hadith Nabi SAW,

Sebagai inisiatif membantu pembendungan ajaran sesat ini, IKIM akan menggunakan semua saluran dan platform seperti Radio, TVIKIM, media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok dan sebagainya bagi memberikan kefahaman jelas kepada masyarakat berhubung isu ini dan menyedarkan masyarakat awam betapa bahayanya ajaran sesat ini jika ia menular.

IKIM memandang serius isu ini dan akan melakukan sebarang usaha untuk membendung penyebaran ajaran sesat di Malaysia.

Maxis dan UiTM jalin kerjasama industri-akademia dalam peningkatan kemahiran digitalisasi

Maxis dan Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) mengumumkan kerjasama selama tiga
tahun untuk memupuk hubungan yang lebih dinamik antara akademia dan industri bagi manfaat pelajar semasa dan graduan UiTM yang akan datang.

Kerjasama tersebut telah dimeterai melalui sebuah majlis Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU), oleh Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Maxis, Goh Seow Eng dan Naib Canselor UiTM, Profesor Datuk Dr Shahrin bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin.

MoU tersebut memberi tumpuan kepada beberapa bidang: (1) Perkembangan kerjaya:
Memperkasakan pelajar UiTM dengan kemahiran digital yang mempunyai permintaan tinggi
melalui program pembangunan kemahiran dan jangkauan pendidikan, (2) Perkongsian ilmu: Pertukaran pengetahuan dan peningkatan kemahiran di kampus oleh penceramah dan jurulatih jemputan Maxis, dan (3) Sisa elektronik (eWaste): Sebuah program bersama untuk menggalakkan kelestarian alam sekitar melalui pengurusan e-waste di kampus dengan menggunakan program pengurusan e-waste pengguna Maxis yang berterusan.

Kerjasama itu bukan sahaja merangkumi bidang akademik dan pembangunan kemahiran,
malah turut memupuk aktiviti kokurikulum seperti eSukan. Secara kumulatif, program-program di bawah MoU tersebut boleh mewujudkan platform untuk pelajar UiTM membangunkan set kemahiran serba boleh yang akan memupuk kerjasama antara rakan sebaya dan memperluaskan peluang peningkatan kerjaya.

“Inisiatif bersama ini menekankan komitmen kami untuk memberikan belia Malaysia peluang yang tiada tandingan dalam pembelajaran, perkembangan dan pembangunan profesional.

Dengan menggabungkan semangat inovatif Maxis sebagai syarikat telekomunikasi bersepadu terkemuka, dan kecemerlangan akademik UiTM, kami menjangkakan kolaborasi yang akan membuahkan hasil bersama,” kata Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Maxis, Goh Seow Eng.

“Dengan MoU ini, UiTM mengukuhkan dedikasinya untuk memberikan pelajar pengalaman
pembelajaran komprehensif yang tidak terhad kepada bilik darjah. Melalui program pembangunan kemahiran, jangkauan pendidikan dan peluang penglibatan, kami dapat
membentuk pelajar menjadi pemimpin dalam era digital.

“Kami berasa sukacita kerana dapat bergabung tenaga dengan Maxis, sebuah rakan industri yang disegani, untuk memperkayakan lagi perjalanan pendidikan pelajar kami,” kata Naib Canselor UiTM, Profesor Datuk Dr. Shahrin bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin.

UiTM telah menjadi rakan kerjasama dipercayai Maxis dalam bidang pendidikan sejak 2022
melalui kerjasama kedua-dua entiti tersebut dalam penghasilan kandungan e-pembelajaran
