Malindo Air will commence its maiden flight OD328 from Penang to Banda Aceh starting 15 March 2018.
The flight will depart at 10:10 am from Penang International Airport and touched down in Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh) International Airport at 11:10 am (local time). The flight time is 2 hours, and Penang is one hour ahead of Banda Aceh.
The flight is scheduled three times a week on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, operated with Malindo Air fleet ATR72-600. Malindo Air flight OD329 departs from Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport at 11:30 am (local time) and is scheduled to arrive Penang International Airport at 2:40 pm.
Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO of Malindo Air said, “Our continuous effort to strengthen our network and connectivity lead us to start flying from Penang to Banda Aceh. We see strong potential of trade and leisure travelers on this route and we believe this new route will help to foster stronger development in both tourist and business travelers between the two destinations.”
“Passenger may also fly to Melaka and Hat Yai, Thailand with direct flights from Penang. Otherwise, there are more than 70 flights available weekly from Penang to our hubs in Kuala Lumpur,” he added.
Malaysia Airports Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said, “We are delighted that more and more airlines are opening up direct routes to other international airports in Malaysia apart from KLIA as this will further boost inbound tourism for the country.
Airports play an important role in contributing to local economic development. An increase in passenger traffic will result in bigger commercial opportunities for the locals. Last year, Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, Ipoh handled 274,000 passengers and Penang International Airport handled 7.2 million passengers growing by 1.7% and 8.2% respectively from the previous year.”
Banda Aceh is located on the northwestern tip of Indonesia at the mouth of Aceh River. The city is popular with attractive beaches, royal heritage sites and its coffee shops (serving brewed coffee).
On the other hand, Malindo Air will also resume its flight from Ipoh to Medan from 16 March 2018. Malindo Air flight OD330 is scheduled to depart from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport at 10:05 am and arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 10:45 am (local time); Departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 11:20 am (local time), flight OD331 is scheduled to arrive in Sultan Azlan Shah Airport at 13:35 pm. The flight time is 1 hour 40 minutes, and Ipoh is one hour ahead of Medan.
In conjunction with the announcement, Malindo Air is offering all-in one way introductory fares from Penang to Banda Aceh from RM189, and from Ipoh to Medan from RM169. The promotional fares include perks such as 15kg baggage allowance.
When the Toyota C-HR concept was first shown in 2014, its advanced design created a lot of excitement with positive responses from visitors and enthusiasts.
AS a result, the designers did their best to retain many of the styling ideas for a design that stands out in the Toyota range, and to establish a new direction amongst mid-sized crossovers.
At the time the C-HR was being developed into a production model, the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) was already available and to be utilised for all new models. With TNGA, vehicle developers have much more flexibility in the three key areas of design, powertrain and dynamics, enabling them to deliver a new and fresh take on the increasingly commoditized crossover segment.
The ‘C-HR’ name for the new model is derived from the words Compact High Rider or Cross Hatch Run-about, reflecting the role of the crossover vehicle.
The C-HR is produced in three factories for different markets around the world. The version for European and North American markets is produced in Turkey while a factory in japan produces for the model for the domestic market and some export markets.
For the ASEAN market, production is done at Toyota’s Gateway plant in Thailand. The ASEAN C-HR was unveiled at the Thailand International Motor Expo in November last year and is progressively being introduced in regional markets.
For the Malaysian market, the C-HR starts off with one variant with a 1.8-litre petrol engine. Customers have a choice of five exterior colours – White Pearl CS, Metal Stream Metallic, Blue Metallic, Red Mica and Attitude Black. Vehicles with the Blue Metallic and Red Mica finishes also come with a black roof, following the latest trend in the industry.
Like other Toyota models imported and distributed by UMW Toyota Motor, the C-HR comes with a 5-year comprehensive warranty. There is no mileage limit on this warranty which is fully backed by Toyota. During the first 5 years of ownership after registration, the warranty can be transferred to the next owner of the vehicle if it is sold off. Full aftersales support, including replacement parts, will be available through the network of authorised Toyota service centres nationwide.
POWERTRAIN
Taking into consideration the requirements and conditions in the ASEAN region, the C-HR engineers chose the Toyota 2ZR-FBE petrol engine which is from the ZR engine family that is used in a wide range of Toyota models. As with virtually all modern Toyota engines, the 1.8-litre 4-cylinder powerplant has dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) with 4 valves per cylinder and Dual VVT-I (computer managed, continuously variable valve timing at the intake and exhaust ports).
The engine produces maximum power of 140 ps at 6,400 rpm with maximum torque of 171 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Optimized driving performance with high fuel efficiency can be achieved with RON95 petrol.
The CVT automatic transmission incorporates Sequential Shiftmatic with 7 speeds, which allows the driver to manually select gears when desired. Shifting is done in a sequential manner with a push or pull on the shift lever. The 7 ratios chosen for the C-HR transmission provide optimal balance between performance and fuel efficiency, with smooth and responsive gear changes.
Three Driving Modes are available – ECO, NORMAL and SPORT. Depending on the mode chosen, the on-board computer will optimize fuel-saving or sharpen throttle response. In the case of the ECO mode, it will adjust the performance of the air-conditioning system and throttle response to prioritize fuel efficiency. NORMAL mode would be suitable for everyday use as it gives the best balance of fuel efficiency and performance for an enjoyable drive, while SPORT mode sharpens the engine response for a more exhilarating drive.
PLATFORM & STRUCTURE
The C-HR sits on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA), a new platform which will be used for many new models. Aiming to structurally transform automobile design, TNGA dramatically improves the basic performance and marketability of Toyota vehicles by reforming and considering the overall optimization of developing new powertrain components and vehicle platforms. The C-HR is the second model after the latest Prius to use TNGA.
The C-HR’s use of a TNGA-based platform has proved central in supporting Chief Engineer Koba’s determination not to compromise design or driving performance, contributing to the model’s fun-to-drive quality.
In terms of vehicle dynamics, the basic design of the platform allows for a low centre of gravity to be achieved; in the case of the C-HR, the lowest in its class. The benefit of this is realized in a more engaging drive and balanced handling, with much reduced body roll. But while the centre of gravity lowers the vehicle, the designers have raised the driver’s hip point slightly to provide the higher, commanding position that customers of such vehicles appreciate. At the same time, the low roofline does not cause a compromise in headroom for front or rear passengers, thanks to the lower seating positions made possible by the new platform.
Using TNGA allows for a new approach to the engine compartment layout, with components relocated and set lower down in the space to support the vehicle’s lower centre of gravity. In the C-HR, it has enabled the engine to be angled slightly rearward, enabling the designers to lower the bonnet line.
The platform combines with the C-HR’s highly rigid body to provide excellent responsiveness that is consistent and linear to the driver’s inputs. The essential quality of the dynamic handling removes the need for the suspension to be firmed up to achieve the desired level of performance, thus avoiding any compromise in ride comfort.
The MacPherson strut suspension at the front was designed specifically for the C-HR. It includes a strut bearing rotation axis that has been defined to reduce steering friction drastically, allowing smooth and accurate steering. To enhance rigidity, the large-diameter stabilizer is directly linked to the strut via a stabilizer link.
At the rear, a double wishbone suspension contributes significantly to the driving experience. Mounted off a sub-frame, the suspension angles have been optimized for sharper handling in spite of the height of the vehicle. The shock absorbers are angled forward, reducing road load and improving luggage space.
The C-HR comes with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, featuring a dynamic 5-spoke design. The tyres fitted are sized 215/60R17 and have been specially chosen for a good balance between ride comfort, low noise and good grip over different surfaces.
SAFETY
Toyota is striving towards the realization of the ultimate goal of a mobile society – zero casualties from traffic accidents. There are different approaches being taken and the superior safety performance inherent in TNGA is among them. With priority given to achieving the highest standards of active and passive safety, TNGA helps meet the toughest standards set by the world’s leading independent crash test programs, supported by the advanced performance of the functions and safety systems in the C-HR.
The strong bodywork is the first defence in collisions and it has been engineered to absorb as well as dissipate impact forces before they reach the cabin, minimising serious injuries. Seven SRS airbags around the front and sides of the cabin (including one for the driver’s knees) provide restraint and cushioning, with the curtain airbags closing off the window openings and reducing the dangers of occupants being ejected in extreme situations.
Like other Toyota models today, the C-HR has ABS as standard with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) to help the driver retain or regain control should the vehicle skid or start to spin. Managed by a computer using real-time data from sensors, these systems can help prevent accidents that can lead to injuries or costly repairs.
Even in everyday driving condition, there are systems in the C-HR that improve safety. For example, besides the front and rear parking sensors, there is also Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) that complements the Reverse Camera view.
While the parking sensors cover the area directly behind the vehicle, detecting humans or hazards, RCTA has wider coverage to either side of the rear of the vehicle. This is particularly useful when reversing out of a parking bay as approaching traffic from either side can be detected earlier, and the driver alerted to stop or proceed cautiously.
To reduce collisions with other vehicles when changing lanes, there’s the Blind Spot Monitoring system (BSM) which activates whenever the turn signal is in operation. The system monitors the areas along both sides of the vehicle (the blind spots) up to 60 metres behind. If there is a vehicle which the driver might not have noticed, a light will flash in the left or right door mirror, thus alerting the driver and avoiding an accident.
The C-HR is also equipped with an Electric Parking Brake which has much easier operation than the traditional mechanical cable-operated handbrake. Minimal effort is needed to activate the brake using a small tab on the centre console between the seats.
Additionally, the brake system has Auto Brake Hold which can be activated when the driver requires it. With Auto Brake Hold, the vehicle can be in DRIVE (gear engaged) but the driver need not press on the brake pedal. The creeping motion that occurs in such situations will be prevented by the system which deactivates when the accelerator pedal is pressed to move forward.
Although automatic transmissions reduce the tendency for a vehicle to roll backwards on a slope, it can still happen on very steep slopes. To reduce the stress and danger, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) will prevent the C-HR from rolling backwards. HAC operates by controlling brake fluid pressure as the driver’s foot is removed from the brake to the accelerator on steep slopes.
Although today’s tyres are stronger and punctures are less likely, loss of air pressure can still occur for various reasons. Should a tyre’s pressure become too low, grip and handling will be affected and can be dangerous during driving.
It is recommended that driver’s check the pressures regularly to detect leaks early but for those who may not do this, the C-HR has a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that will alert them when the pressure of any tyre is too low. A warning light will illuminate on the instrument panel if the pressure in any tyre gas decreased to approximately 80% (or less) from the original setting.
EXTERIOR
From any angle, the C-HR has a stunning look that will attract attention, whether standing still or on the move. The design concept features a diamond architectural theme with wheel arches projecting prominently at all four corners to emphasise strength and rigidity
At the front, the slender upper grille flows from the Toyota badge into the sleek, aggressive wing extremities of the headlamp clusters and wraps fully around the front corners of the vehicle. The blacked-out rocker panel towards the front and rear wheels, along with the shoulder axis that runs through to the front and rear, emphasises speed.
The C-HR’s coupe-like styling is further enhanced by disguised rear door handles integrated within the C pillar and, essential to the representation of speed within the design, the powerful projection of the sweeping roofline into a large, highly aerodynamic, skeletal frame rear spoiler.
To the rear, the strongly tapered cabin integrates a top-hinged tailgate. The distinctive rear design is highlighted by advanced LED rear combination lamps giving the floating impression on the entire lamp. Rear foglamps are also provided to increase the visibility of the vehicle to following drivers in conditions of extremely poor lighting or during very heavy rain.
The front lighting units consist of auto bi-halogen headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), supplemented by foglamps mounted on the lower bumper. The headlamps have a ‘follow-me-home’ function which keeps them on for 30 seconds after the engine is switched off. This provides illumination ahead for safety and confidence in darkened areas.
INTERIOR
Just like the exterior, the interior design of the C-HR is a departure from conventional approaches. The design concept combines high-tech functionality with fashionable style, with a seamless and expansive dashboard that is driver-focused. The seamless layered architecture of the dashboard and instrument panel flow into the door panels trim with stylish ornamentation and a piano black panel giving a high-quality appearance.
The driver-oriented area incorporates innovative details and intuitive technology. In conjunction with the asymmetrical centre console design, all controls are within easy reach of the driver while the meters and displays are also oriented towards the driver.
The sharp and clear Optitron meters flank a 4.2-inch Colour Multi-Information Display (MID) that keeps the driver informed of the vital aspect of the vehicle’s operation. The combination of bright white and blue illumination creates an advanced feel while ensuring high visibility. For enthusiast drivers, there’s also a G-monitor which shows the G-force exerted by the vehicle during cornering, acceleration and deceleration.
Toyota’s DVD-AVX infotainment system with 6 speakers comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. The system has a DVD player, Wi-Fi, an Internet browser, Voice Recognition, with connectivity to compatible smartphones using HDMI, USB, and Bluetooth. Because the touch-screen is an independent element (rather than being enclosed in the dashboard), the upper dashboard section can be considerably lower in depth, further helping driver visibility.
The cabin has a black theme with black leather upholstery for the seats giving a luxurious feel. Though the vehicle’s body is low, the seat height is positioned to make it easy to get in and out. The sporty structure of the seat gives good support to the body to reduce fatigue and also keep the body in place during cornering. The driver has power lumbar support to reduce lower back discomfort during long journeys.
Although compact in size, accommodation for the rear passengers is comfortable with sufficient headroom for taller people and good legroom for three persons. The backrest is divided into two parts (60:40 ratio) and one or both backrests can be folded down to allow long items to be carried. The available space in the boot when the rear seats are occupied is still spacious enough for a golf bag to be carried.
Standard features and equipment for the C-HR include Smart Entry & Start System which dispenses with the use of a key to lock/unlock the doors or to start/stop the engine. The rearview mirror has an electrochromic surface which darkens automatically when bright lights from behind appear, reducing glare for the driver. For a pleasant drive in any weather conditions, the fully automatic dual-zone air conditioner provides fast, effective and quiet cooling, maintaining the cabin temperature at the desire level.
To protect the C-HR from being stolen, the Toyota Security System has an immobilizer that prevents the engine from being started without the right code. Cabin and glass-breaking sensors also detect unauthorised entry and will activate a siren which has a back-up battery.

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) telah menyerahkan 50 unit crossover kompak Toyota C-HR serba baru kepada pemilik terawalnya dalam sebuah acara yang berlangsung di Taman Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
PRESIDEN UMW Toyota Motor, Ravindran K berkata, penyerahan 50 unit Toyota C-HR kepada pemiliknya juga menandakan pengenalan secara rasmi model berkenaan untuk pasaran tempatan. Turut hadir pada majlis berkenaan ialah Ketua Jurutera Toyota C-HR, Takatomo Suzuki.
“Sejak mula dipertontonkan tahun lalu, minat yang ditunjukkan terhadap C-HR sangat menggalakkan. Setakat ini, kami telah menerima sebanyak lebih kurang 1,500 tempahan dan disebabkan ia merupakan model yang begitu unik dan bermakna, kami ingin ambil kesempatan untuk menyerahkannya sendiri kepada 50 pemilik terawal kami,” ujar beliau.
“Toyota sentiasa berterima kasih di atas sokongan yang diberikan oleh para pelanggan. Ciri istimewa yang kini berbeza
Gril kidney merupakan komponen yang paling sinonim dengan BMW. Pada BMW X2, reka bentuk luaran gril tersebut dijadikan lebih lebar pada bahagian bawah berbanding bahagian atas. BMW X2 merupakan variasi BMW moden yang pertama untuk menampikan reka bentuk tersebut, lantas memberikannya penampilan yang lebih berbeza dan sporty.
Di bawah gril tersebut, permukaan heksagon yang terletak pada bahagian bampar menonjolkan lagi penampilan jentera ini. Gril kidney tersebut mewujudkan ekspresi visual BMW X2 yang berkelas tinggi. Jeriji gril ini pula disalut dengan glos hitam yang dikontraskan dengan warna krom di seklilingnya.
Reka bentuk lampu hadapan BMW X2 juga memperkukuhkan keterampilannya yang sporty. Suluhan lampu yang terdapat di bahagian dalam adalah lebih tajam berbanding lampu yang dipasang di bahagian luar, mewujudkan pemfokusan dan kelebihan dinamik.

Selain daripada spoiler belakang, BMW X2 juga dibina menggunakan BMW M Sport Suspension yang direndahkan sebanyak -10mm untuk memastikan pemanduan yang menyelesakan.
Antara daya BMW X2 ini menunjukkan kuasa enjinnya, BMW TwinPower Turbo adalah melalui ekzos. Pada diameter 90mm, BMW X2 disertakan dengan ekzos dalam warna krom glos pada kedua-dua sisi kenderaan tersebut.
Bumbung kenderaan ini pula mempunyai corengan yang unik lantas memberikan impresi pemecutan. Rupa sporty kenderaan tersebut juga dimangkinkan dengan rel bumbung yang diwarnai Aluminum Satin.
Di atas jalan raya, BMW X2 memiliki keteguhannya dengan tayar 19” M yang beraloi ringan, reka bentuk double-spoke 715M dengan ciri run-flat. Skirt sisi jentera ini juga merupakan antara komponen utama dan menyumbang kepada penampilannya yang lasak dan teguh.
Corengan garisan mendatar pada bahagian belakang kenderaan ini merapatkan jarak visual antara kereta ini dengan permukaan jalan raya, penekanan diberikan terhadap kelebaran kereta tersebut yang menonjolkan cirinya yang sporty. Corengan ini berlanjutan sehingga lampu belakang kereta tersebut.

Ruangan dalaman kenderaan BMW X2 pula dilengkapi dengan pencahayaan LED ambien dalam variasi pilihan warna seperti Orange, Lilac, Mint, Bronze, Blue dan White untuk dipadankan dengan ekspresi luaran kenderaan tersebut.
Dinamik Pemanduan.
Pemandu BMW X2 berfikir dengan cara yang berbeza. Mereka akan memecahkan kelaziman dan bertindak sebagai pemimpin. Jentera Sports Activity Coupe ini dikuasakan oleh enjin petrol dua liter, BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-silinder (teknologi ini telah mengarap pelbagai anugerah) yang menggabungkan twin-scroll turbocaj dengan Valvetronic, dua VANOS dan High Precision Injection; kenderaan ini dapat mencapai kelajuan maksima setinggi 227km/j.

BMW X2 boleh dimiliki melalui program pembiayaan dinamik yang ditawarkan oleh BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia. Antara tawaran yang dimaksudkan ialah BMW Full Circle Programme dengan ansuran bulanan yang bermula dari RM4,498 serta bayaran muka sebanyak 20% untuk tempoh pembiayaan yang berdurasi 4 tahun dengan had perbatuan sebanyak 20,000 KM setiap tahun.
Naza Italia kini secara rasminya memperkenalkan Maserati Ghibli dan Ghibli S 2018 untuk pasaran Malaysia. Model M157 ‘facelift’ itu, yang diperkenalkan pertama kali tahun lalu, di jual untuk pasaran tempatan dalam beberapa varian – standard, GranSport dan GranLusso.
BERBANDING model terdahulu, versi 2018 memberikan penampilan baru dengan gril yang lebih besar dan profile “sharknose” yang diwarisi dari konsep Alfieri. Varian paling asas Ghibli serta Ghibli GranLusso berkongsi penampilan muka depan yang sama, sementara varian GranSport menampilkan rekaan bampar yang berbeza.
Rekaan lampu utama walaupun nampak sama, ia sebenarnya menggunakan lampu LED adaptif baru yang melengkapi varian GranLusso dan GranSport (model standard menggunakan unit bi-xenon).
Kit badan sisinya kini menerima warna yang sama dengan badan, dan lencana baru pada fender hadapan membezakan varian masing-masing. Di belakang, diffuser dengan rekaan lebih menonjol dalam warna badan turut disertakan.
Elemen penggayaan luaran GranLusso termasik kemasan krom yang digunakan pada bampar depan, lencana khas pada bahagian sayap depan, kit sisi dalam warna badan, brek kaliper warna perak dan rim aloi 20-inci Urano Diamond.
Menjengah ruang dalaman menyaksikan sentuhan mewah menggunakan kekemasan Ermenegildo Zegna Silk yang digabung dengan kemasan kayu Ebano menghiasi bahagian tempat duduk, panel pintu, garis bumbung dan siling. Ciri lain termasuk stereng dari kayu eboni balutan kulit, kerusi dengan larasan 12-cara dan lain-lain.

Ghibli standard pula masih gunakan enjin yang sama; 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 yang digandingkan dengan transmisi ZF HP70 lapan-kelajuan automatik. Ia menjana 350 PS pada 5,500 rpm dan 500 Nm pada 4,500 rpm. Bacaan 0-100 km/j dalam masa 5.5 saat dan laju maksimum ialah 267 km/j.
Bagaimanapun, varian Ghibli S menerima prestasi enjin yang dipertingkat. Outputnya kini ialah 430 PS pada 5,750 rpm dan 580 Nm tork pada 2,250 hingga 4,000 rpm – 20 hp dan 30 Nm lebih kuasa berbanding versi 2017. 0-100 km/j dalam masa 4.9 saat (berbanidng 5 saat sebelumnya) dan laju maksimum ialah 286 km/j (sebelum ini 285 km/j).
Bagi harga pula, model Ghibli bermula dari RM618,000 (termasuk cukai dan duti) bagi model standardnya. Sementara bagi Ghibli GranLusso dan GranSport pada harga RM668,800. Bagi Ghibli S pula, harganya bermula dari RM718,800 untuk yang paling asas, sementara varian GranSport dan GranLusso-nya dijual pada harga RM768,800.
Model ini datang dengan jaminan lima-tahun, tanpa had perbatuan serta program servis percuma lima-tahun/100,000 km/j (termasuk pakej Maserati Premium Service Plus tiga-tahun/60,000km/j).

Penyerahan bantuan rumah ini dilakukan semasa Majlis Pengumuman Pembukaan Pusat
Perkhidmatan Bank Islam Cawangan Sungai Limau, Yan, Kedah yang disempurnakan
oleh Menteri Di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Dato’ Seri Jamil Khir Baharom dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Bank Islam, Khairul Kamarudin.
Cawangan Sungai Limau ini akan menjadi cawangan Bank Islam yang ke-149
di seluruh negara dan ke-14 di Kedah.
Ia dijangka beroperasi pada Jun 2018 selepas pembukaan cawangan Sik pada bulan Mei 2018. Dengan pembukaan cawangan ini kelak, Bank Islam akan meluaskan perkhidmatan perbankan Islamnya kepada lebih 70,000 penduduk di sekitar Yan, Kedah.
Projek Bantuan Rumah Bank Islam dimulakan sejak tahun 2008. Ia bermatlamat untuk
meningkatkan kualiti dan taraf hidup golongan yang kurang bernasib baik serta
merealisasikan impian mereka untuk tinggal di rumah yang selesa.
Projek ini dilaksanakan melalui penyaluran sumbangan zakat untuk membina dan membaik pulih rumah keluarga terpilih yang kurang bernasib baik.
Sejak 2008, lebih daripada RM7.34 juta telah disalurkan melalui program ini dan seramai 269 keluarga seluruh negara telah menerima manfaat ini.
Khairul Kamarudin berkata, “Berikutan peningkatan harga rumah di pasaran dewasa ini, ia telah menyukarkan lagi rakyat yang berada di bawah garis kemiskinan untuk memiliki rumah.
Bank Islam peka dan prihatin terhadap situasi ini dan berusaha untuk membantu golongan ini memiliki tempat yang selamat untuk berlindung.” Sebagai sebuah institusi kewangan Islam, Bank Islam tidak pernah gagal untuk menyempurnakan tanggungjawabnya membayar zakat perniagaan.
Pada akhir tahun 2017, Bank mencatat peningkatan pembayaran zakat perniagaan sebanyak 3.72% kepada RM13.3 juta berbanding RM12.8 juta pada tahun 2016 dan zakat ini dibayar
kepada setiap Majlis Agama Islam dan Lembaga Zakat Negeri-negeri.
Melalui dana zakat yang dikembalikan oleh Majlis Agama Islam dan Lembaga Zakat negeri (wakalah), Bank Islam bertindak sebagai wakil penyalur kepada pelajar golongan asnaf fakir dan miskin, aktiviti-aktiviti dakwah melalui institusi dakwah, NGO, program-program kebajikan, pendidikan, pembinaan dan pengimarahan surau, masjid dan sekolah.
Selain daripada Projek Bantuan Rumah Bank Islam, Bank juga menumpukan kepada program-program pendidikan. Modal insan merupakan aset penting negara dan dengan memperkasakan pendidikan, ia dapat melahirkan masyarakat yang berdaya maju.
Baru-baru ini, Bank Islam bekerjasama dengan Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) menganjurkan Anugerah Surau Imarah Sekolah-sekolah (ASISS) di mana sebanyak 56 surau dan musolla sekolah menengah dan rendah mengambil bahagian untuk bersama-sama meningkatkan lagi aktiviti pengimarahan masjid dan surau sebagai pusat dakwah komuniti.

PENYANYI tersohor, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza dan suaminya Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa teruja apabila puteri sulung mereka dapat menyusu badan dengan mudah.
“Alhamdulillah, keadaan Siti dan anak stabil. Kami bersyukur bayi lahir dalam keadaan sihat.
“Siti sudah mula menyusukan bayi dan semuanya berjalan lancar. Bayi pun tak banyak ragam dan berada di sisi ibunya,” katanya.
Penyanyi berusia 39 tahun itu selamat melahirkan bayi perempuan di sebuah pusat perubatan swasta di Kuala Lumpur , pada jam 8.17 pagi, semalam.
Bayi seberat 3.55 kilogram itu dilahirkan secara pembedahan.
Pasangan itu memilih Fatimah Az-Zahra sebagai nama sementara bersempena nama anakanda Nabi Muhammad.
Sementara itu, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, mengesahkan wajah bayi yang tular di media sosial adalah anak mereka namun terkilan dengan sikap tidak bertanggungjawab individu yang menyebarkan gambar terbabit.
Gambar yang memaparkan bayi itu berada di riba seorang wanita mulai dikongsi pengguna laman sosial sejak petang, semalam.
“Ya itu gambar anak kami,” katanya ringkas. Terdahulu, gambar dan video bayi itu dimuat naik di laman Facebook namun tindakan pemilik akaun itu mendapat kecaman netizen yang beranggapan wanita itu tidak menghormati privasi pasangan terbabit.
