Shahril Will Not Abandon Sapura

Sapura Energy Berhad President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin remains committed to the company and will not abandon ship.

INDUSTRY sources and market analysts said, Shahril was not reducing his stake in Sapura and investors should not panic.

The analysts said it makes no sense for Shahril to jettison the firm that he and his family has built ever since 1975 which is now well on its way to become one of the world’s top oil and gas firms.

Sapura was established by Shahril’s father and Sapura chairman, Tan Sri Shamsuddin Abdul Kadir and was named after Shahril’s late mother Puan Sri Siti Sapura Husin.

“Everything is going well with Sapura, why would he abandon Sapura now? Shahril was selling excess shares and not shares from the core shareholding in Sapura Energy. It was just routine,” said a market analyst at Maybank Investment.

Sapura Technology Sdn Bhd which is the investment vehicle of Shahril and his family had sold 600 million shares or a 3.76 percent stake in Sapura Energy on last Wednesday, 10th April 2019, triggering panic among investors as they were speculating that Shahril was ditching Sapura.

The Maybank Investment analyst said, Shahril was just making a little profit now that Sapura has turned out for the better after “suffering” for the past few years.

“Sapura shares were depressed for the past few years ever since crude oil prices crashed and now the shares have climbed up a bit. So, this is the only time for Shahril and his family to make a little profit for himself and his family.

What is wrong with that? Isn’t that why we invest in the first place which is to make money? Shahril deserves to make some profit taking for himself and his family after being pressured by low crude oil prices for so many years,” said the analyst.

An English daily reported that Shahril and family are not reducing their stake in Sapura Energy but merely selling off the excess shares from the underwriting portion of the RM4 billion rights issue that was completed in January.

Furthermore, Sapura Technology will stay for the long term as it remains the second largest shareholder of Sapura with a 12.55 percent stake while Permodalan Nasional Berhad is the largest with a 40 percent stake.

Shahril has also been granted an additional 798.95 million Employee Share Option Scheme (ESOS) equivalent to a 5.01 percent stake in Sapura which comes at an average exercise price of 30 sen.

“So Shahril can also exercise the ESOS shares within the next three years as Sapura shares are now hovering at the RM0.35 sen level. If he were to exercise his ESOS shares, investors should not see this as him abandoning Sapura. Shahril is merely exercising his benefit,” said the analyst.

He added Permodalan Nasional Berhad also has a lot of faith in Sapura and Shahril and supported the firms RM4 billion cash call from day one. Why would Shahril throw everything away now?

Furthermore, research houses from Hong Leong Investment to Alliance DBS, AmInvestment and Public Investment have all given the thumbs up to Sapura giving the stock a buy or outperform recommendation after the company bagged RM1.3 billion worth of contracts last week.

The analysts have also targeted the company’s share price to surge to as high as RM0.53 sen over the next 12 months from the current price of RM0.35 sen.

Looking at all the positive vibes, it can be concluded that the concern over Shahril not caring for Sapura is baseless and unfounded,” said the Maybank Investment analyst.

A journalist who covered Shahril at the company’s annual and extraordinary general meetings in December last year said Shahril has poured his heart and soul into Sapura and his passion for the company was evident during the meetings where he outlined the future of the company.

“Shahril is determined to turn the company around and he is unlikely abandon Sapura as the company is his baby and will be his legacy for a long long time,” said the journalist.

Maxis Lancar Perkhidmatan NB-IoT Komersial Pertama Di Malaysia

Maxis mengumumkan pelancaran perkhidmatan Narrowband-Internet of Things (NB-IoT)
komersial yang pertama di Malaysia.

MULAI hari ini, Maxis akan mengaktifkan rangkaian NB-IoT di kawasan terpilih dalam pusat-pusat pasaran IoT yang utama, termasuk di Cyberjaya, Pulau Pinang, Kuching, Putrajaya, Johor Bahru, serta KLCC.

Industri minyak dan gas dunia secara umum diketahui sebagai industri yang kompetitif dengan semua pemain industri dan sub kontraktor bersaing mendapatkan projek seumpama berebut dalam sekeping ‘pai’.

NAMUN tidak kepada Sapura Energy Berhad yang berada dalam kelas tersendiri apabila terus berjaya meraih projek disebalik ketidaktentuan cabaran harga minyak mentah ketika ini.

Sapura mengukuhkan kehadirannya di pasaran minyak dan gas apabila merangkul lima tawaran baru minggu lalu dengan keseluruhan bernilai RM1.3 bilion sekali gus menjadikan jumlah tempahan buku kepada RM18.2 bilion yang sudah cukup menjadikan syarikat itu ‘sibuk’ untuk tiga tahun akan datang.

Penganalisis Kenanga Research, Steven Chan berkata, tawaran terbaru itu adalah kemuncak keupayaan syarikat secara kompetitif dan luar biasa untuk memenangi kontrak serta melaksanakan kerja diperingkat domestik mahupun antarabangsa.

“Kemasukan Sapura ke Mesir dan kontrak pertama dengan Royal Australian Navy membuktikan keupayaan teknologi dan kejuruteraan syarikat,” kata Chan.

Sementara itu, penganalisis pelaburan di Permodalan Nasional Berhad berkata, keupayaan Sapura meraih tawaran itu adalah hasil pengalaman luas dan kepimpinan dinamik Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya, Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin.

“Tidak ramai yang yakin bahawa Sapura mampu meraih kembali disebabkan harga minyak mentah dunia yang lemah tetapi Shahril berjaya membuktikan disebaliknya dan menjadi kelebihan kepada Sapura untuk terus memacu industri,” katanya lagi.

Sapura meraih keseluruhan lima kontrak minggu lalu bernilai RM1.3 bilion daripada Phoenix International Austarlia Pte Ltd untuk Royal Australian Navy, Egypt’s Pan Marine Petroleum Services, Indonesia’s ENI East Sepinggan Ltd dan di Malaysia adalah ExxonMobil Exploration and Malaysia Production Inc serta Petronas Carigali.

Hasilnya, ini adalah kemajuan positif kepada Sapura yang mana semua penganalisis dalam nota penyelidikan kepada pelabur mengunjurkan unjuran positif bagi gergasi minyak dan gas ini.

Penganalisis Maybank Investment Bank, Liaw Thong Jun pula berkata, dengan tawaran terkini itu, Sapura dilihat memiliki peluang besar dalam meraih tawaran baru pada 2020 disebalik kenaikan perbelanjaan modal serta pengagihan tender oleh pemain utama minyak dan gas dunia.

Pasukan penyelidikan Alliance Investment Bank berkata, ‘mimpi buruk’ kini sudah berakhir kepada Sapura apabila disokong oleh penyata imbangan yang bersih, gearan bersih 0.6 kali dan unjuran bagi tender serta tempahan yang diterima dijangka mampu memberi pulangan kepada Sapura seawal separuh tahun kedua 2020.

Penganalisis Public Investment Bank, Nurzulaikha Azali berkata, lebih banyak kontrak dijangka diraih oleh Sapura menerusi beberapa bidaan aktif yang ada berjumlah keseluruhan RM45 bilion.

“Kejayaan terkini menjadi penanda pertama kontrak yang berjaya diraih Sapura pada 2020 dengan jangkaan lebih banyak lagi diraih untuk beberapa bulan akan datang,” kata Nurzulaikha dalam nota penyelidikan kepada para pelabur baru-baru ini.

Bagi penganalisis Hong Leong Investment Bank, Sean Lim Ooi Leong berkata, Sapura kini dalam landasan untuk merekodkan keputusan lebih baik untuk suku akan datang dan dijangkakan mencatatkan kedudukan kewangan lebih baik menjelang separuh kedua 2020 seiring dengan pemulihan sektor minyak dan gas dunia.

Secara keseluruhannya, kesemua firma penyelidikan membabitkan Alliance Investment Bank, AmInvestment Bank, Hong Leong Bank, Maybank Investment memberikan ulasan untuk membeli saham Sapura atau mencadangkan sasaran bahawa harga sahamnya dijangka naik antara 42 sen dan 55 sen dalam tempoh 12 bulan akan datang daripada harga saham semasa yang berlegar pada tahap 35 sen.

Ini jelas bahawa dengan kesemua kontrak ditangan, tiada halangan kepada Sapura daripada terus melebarkan sayapnya ke seluruh dunia.

Sapura, yang memiliki kehadiran di lebih 20 negara dan mempunyai kakitangan lebih daripada 10,000 orang membabitkan lebih 35 kewarganegaraan tidak menunjukkan sebarang tanda untuk memperlahankan momentumnya dan terus berdiri dalam kelas tersendiri menjangkau pemain minyak dan gas lain. Memang benarlah Sapura berada dalam kelas tersendiri.

Lamborghini Huracán EVO Debuts In Malaysia

Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur launched the new Huracán EVO to an exclusive group of media and customers at the Sepang International Circuit. The new Lamborghini Huracán EVO will arrive in Malaysia in Q4 2019.

THE Huracán EVO features the 5.2 l naturally aspirated Lamborghini V10 engine, uprated to
produce higher power output and an emotional and powerful sound, with Titanium intake valves and refined lightweight exhaust system.

The Huracán EVO outputs 640 hp (470 kW) at 8,000 rpm with 600 Nm of torque delivered at 6,500 rpm. With a dry weight of 1,422 kg the Huracán EVO reaches a weight-to-power ratio of 2.22 kg/hp, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 9.0 seconds. Braking from 100 km/h to 0 is achieved in just 31.9 m, with a top speed of more than 325 km/h.

Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI): a Central Processing Unit that controls every aspect of the car’s dynamic behaviour, fully integrating all of the car’s dynamic systems and set-up to anticipate the next move and needs of the driver, interpreting this into perfect driving dynamics.

Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI), a comprehensive set of accelerators and gyroscope sensors placed at the car’s center of gravity, has been enhanced to version 2.0. With improved precision, it monitors in real-time the dynamic vehicle attitude regarding lateral, longitudinal and vertical accelerations, as well as roll, pitch and yaw rate.

The magneto rheological suspension, upgraded to version 2.0, instantaneously adapts the damping following inputs from the LPI. A new advanced traction control system, together with enhanced all-wheel drive and torque vectoring, allows traction to be directed to a single wheel as required.

Enhanced Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), able to provide higher responsiveness in corners while requiring the lowest steering angles, is now coupled with rear-wheel steering in order to ensure agility at low speed, as well as maximum stability in high-speed cornering and under braking in the most severe conditions.

The unique combination of all these systems is governed by Lamborghini’s LDVI to create a super-agile and responsive car with unparalleled level of control. Processing data in real time, the Huracán EVO recognises the driver’s intentions through steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedal inputs, engaged gear and the driving modes selected via ANIMA controller: STRADA, SPORT or CORSA.

In STRADA, the Huracán EVO is agile and capable for driving enjoyment, whereas in SPORT it becomes playful, intuitive and extremely exciting. In CORSA the Huracán EVO is sharp, reactive and exhilarating for the most extreme driving environments, such as racetracks.

A new front bumper gives the car a low, assertive personality, but more importantly
assures aerodynamic efficiency via the front splitter with integrated wing. The enlarged air intakes feature the Ypsilon shape that is inherent in Lamborghini design DNA.

The side profile of the Huracán EVO is articulately dynamic, featuring Lamborghini’s hexagon design references in the windows, the new wheel design and around the new side air intakes.

It is at the rear of the car that the Huracán EVO most distinctively evokes the power and dynamism that lies within. Reflecting the wide, open, naked rear seen in its race-car brother, the twin outlets of the new sports exhaust system are positioned high up in the car’s rear bumper.

At the upper end of the tail an integrated, slotted spoiler provides enhanced air flow, clearly asserting the car’s aerodynamic abilities.

The Huracán EVO’s aero competency continues with the underbody, which has been shaped to maximise aerodynamic efficiency: the new integrated aerodynamic styling of the Huracán EVO improves downforce and aerodynamic efficiency more than five times over the first generation Huracán.

A new 8.4” HMI capacitive touchscreen, located in the centre console just above the start button, puts connectivity at the driver’s fingertips, with multi-finger gesture control.
