RHB Bank Berhad (RHB) launched the new RHB Mobile Banking App with the primary aim of reimagining day-to-day banking journey of our customers.

THE new RHB Mobile Banking App will provide highly convenient and pleasant experiences, help us convert more customers to become “digitally active” and make RHB their primary bank.

The new RHB Mobile Banking App offers robust features that allow customers to do their banking transactions at their convenience. Key features include:

  • Quick access to all customers’ account information with a Quick Login feature using PIN or biometrics; which gives customers an easy way to get a complete overview of their account information allowing them to manage their finances anywhere anytime;
  • A “One-touch payment” feature that allows payments to be made effortlessly for up to 8
    specified recipients; with no full login needed for payments up to RM500;
  • The enhanced integration capabilities using transaction signing eliminates the need for SMS One Time Password (OTP) to authorise transactions, without compromising account security;
  • A user friendly dashboard for a quick view of account balances, recent transactions and
    account history, payment due dates, and other relevant information;
  • Auto alerts and notifications on upcoming payments and due dates for credit cards, where payments can be made with just a click of a button;
  • Links to key banking and lifestyle offers of RHB; Make any first time (open) payment easily: DuitNow, bills, JomPAY, top-up, inter-bank instant transfer – and share receipts and add them as favourites in the same process, and
  • The RHB Finder, a feature to help customers locate the nearest RHB Bank branch, for those who require one-on-one assistance.

The App also enables customers to directly access products and services being offered by

Through this App we are re-imagining banking experience by bringing simplicity, convenience and personalised service into the lives of our customers, without the need to go to our branches for their day to day banking needs,” said Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli, Group Managing Director, RHB Banking Group.

“Today, RHB has approximately 1.8 million active RHB Now internet banking users, out of which more than 500,000 are active mobile banking users. In the last three years, our mobile banking penetration has grown by 250%.

With the launch of our new RHB Mobile Banking App, we are targeting to increase our active mobile banking users to 1 million by the end of 2019,” he added.

This new mobile banking app is set to increase transaction volume via digital channels from 66% currently to more than 80% by 2022. The new app is set to deliver greater accessibility and personalised banking services to approximately 4 million RHB customers.

The new RHB Mobile Banking App will co-exist with the current RHB Now app and internet banking platform over the next 12 months, before it is gradually integrated to a single platform.

The new RHB Mobile Banking App is now available for customers to download from App Store and Google Play.

Perodua Terima 450 Tempahan Di Malaysia Autoshow 2019

Perodua menerima 450 tempahan di Malaysia Autoshow 2019, tertinggi bagi Perodua
untuk acara tersebut.

PERODUA telah menerima sebanyak 450 tempahan di Malaysia Autoshow 2019 baru-baru ini, mencatat jumlah tempahan tertinggi yang pernah diterima oleh Perodua di acara tahunan tersebut.

Dianjurkan oleh Institut Automotif, Robotik dan IoT Malaysia (MARii), acara empat hari tersebut berlangsung di Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) dari 11hb-14hb April yang lalu.

“Ini bermakna Perodua telah mengumpul lebih daripada 110 tempahan setiap hari secara
purata. Ini merupakan pencapaian tertinggi sejak kami mula menyertai Malaysia Autoshow pada 2017,” kata Pengarah Urusan Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd Dato’ Dr Zahari Husin.

“Walaupun Myvi menerima tempahan yang paling banyak antara model-model kami, Bezza
telah menarik perhatian orang ramai dengan adanya Perodua Bezza Limited Edition, yang
mana hanya 50 unit ditawarkan khas untuk Autoshow serta para pelanggan kami yang telah menjadikan Bezza antara sedan yang terlaris di Malaysia.

“Malah, 50 unit edisi terhad Autoshow ini telah ditempah sepenuhnya dalam masa tiga hari.

Buat masa sekarang, kami tidak bercadang memperkenalkannya di pasaran kerana kami
inginkan 50 unit ini khas untuk acara ini,” tambah Dato’ Dr Zahari.

Ferrari Malaysia Launches Ferrari F8 Tributo, Prices From RM1,068,000

The 3902 cc V8 won “Best Engine” in the International Engine of the Year awards three years running in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and, in addition, in 2018, was awarded the title of the best engine of the last two decades.

As these prestigious awards demonstrate, in the automotive world, Ferrari’s V8 engine is seen as the very epitome of sportiness and driving pleasure. This is particularly the case when it is mid-rear-mounted in a two-seater. Ferrari has been honing the scope of abilities of this architecture, which creates an optimal weight balance, to perfection for over four decades. The result is the F8 Tributo, which is one of the fastest, most thrilling and communicative supercars ever.

The new car replaces the 488 GTB, with improvements across the board, providing even better control on the limit along with greater on-board comfort. The F8 Tributo punches out 50 cv more than the car it replaces, is lighter and benefits from a 10% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency along with the latest version of the Side Slip Angle Control, now in 6.1 guise. So while the F8 Tributo offers the highest levels of performance of any car in the current range, that performance is also very usable.

The F8 Tributo delivers its 720 cv without the slightest hint of turbo lag and produces an evocative soundtrack. Instantaneous power is matched by exceptional handling thanks to advanced vehicle dynamics solutions.

These include a new version of the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE+) which can be activated in the manettino’s RACE position for the first time, a move designed to make performance on the limit easier to reach and control for an even greater number of drivers.

The steering wheel rim is also smaller in diameter to enhance the level of tactility and make the car feel even more agile. In addition, weight reduction measures have cut the car’s dry weight by 40 kg compared to the 488 GTB, further enhancing both responsiveness and driving pleasure without impinging on interior comfort.

State-of-the-art aerodynamic solutions incorporated into the car’s body help ensure that the extraordinarily powerful engine can be fully exploited.

As with the 488 Pista, the F8 Tributo’s aero package is directly evolved from the track and it adopts several features from the 488 Pista designed to help manage engine heat, including, for instance, the rearward-angled front radiators and the dynamic engine air intakes positioned either side of the spoiler instead of on the rear flanks.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the F8 Tributo is essentially a bridge to a new design language that will continue to emphasise Ferrari’s key characteristics of high performance and extreme aerodynamic efficiency.

The front of the car is characterised by the S-Duct, a solution that made its debut on the 488 Pista, but which has been redesigned to suit the extensive modifications made to this area of the car.

The result is that the S-Duct alone contributes an impressive 15% to the overall increase in downforce compared to the 488 GTB. The new, more compact, horizontal LED headlights allowed Ferrari’s aerodynamicists to incorporate new brake cooling intakes in combination with those on the outside of the bumper, the aim being to improve air flow throughout the entire wheelarch and thereby avoid having to increase the size of the braking system to cope with the car’s greater speed.

The new Lexan rear screen showcases the engine compartment and also brings a modern twist to the most distinctive design element from Ferrari’s most famous V8, the F40. The louvres help extract hot air from the engine compartment without impacting the efficiency of the blown spoiler which has been further evolved to increase downforce generated at the rear.

The spoiler wraps around the tail lights, visually lowering the car’s centre of gravity and allowing a return to the classic twin light cluster and body-coloured tail, another signature of the early 8-cylinder berlinettas like the very first in the legendary series, the 1975 308 GTB.

The cabin retains the classic, driver-oriented cockpit look typical of Ferrari’s mid-rear-engined berlinettas, but every element of the dash, door panels and tunnel, has been completely redesigned. The new generation HMI (Human Machine Interface), complete with round air vents, new steering wheel and controls as well as a new 7” passenger touchscreen display, significantly enhance the on-board environment for driver and passenger.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is being introduced at the base price of RM 1,068,000.00 (excluding duty and customization options).

Shahril Tidak Akan Tinggalkan Sapura

Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan Sapura Energy Berhad, Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin kekal komited untuk memacu syarikat dan tidak akan meninggalkannya.

SUMBER industri dan penganalisis pasaran berkata, Shahril tidak mengurangkan pegangan sahamnya didalam Sapura dan pelabur tidak seharusnya panik.

Penganalisis berkata, adalah tidak masuk akal bahawa Shahril mahu ‘melupakan’ firma dia dan keluarganya bangunkan sejak 1975 yang mana kini sudah berada dalam landasan untuk menjadi firma minyak dan gas terkemuka dunia.

Sapura ditubuhkan oleh bapanya yang juga Pengerusi Sapura, Tan Sri Shamsuddin Abdul Kadir dan dinamakan atas nama allahyarhamah ibunya, Puan Sri Siti Sapura Husin.

“Semuanya berjalan baik dengan Sapura, mengapa dia harus meninggalkan Sapura sekarang? Shahril hanya menjual lebihan saham dan bukannya pegangan saham utama dalam Sapura Energy. Ia hanyalah satu rutin,” kata penganalisis pasaran di Maybank Investment.

Pada Rabu minggu lalu (10 April 2019) Sapura Technology Sdn Bhd yang juga jentera pelaburan Shahril dan keluarganya sudah menjual 600 juta saham atau 3.76 peratus pegangan dalam Sapura Energy menyebabkan berlaku situasi panik dikalangan pelabur yang membuat spekulasi bahawa Shahril mahu melupuskan Sapura.

Penganalisis Maybank Investment berkata, Shahril hanya membuat sedikit keuntungan sekarang selepas sekian lama Sapura ‘menderita’ sejak beberapa tahun lalu.

“Saham Sapura menyusut sejak beberapa tahun lalu sejak harga minyak mentah turun dan sekarang saham sudah meningkat sedikit. Jadi, ini adalah peluang kepada Shahril dan keluarganya membuat sedikit keuntungan kepada dirinya dan keluarga.

“Jadi, apa salahnya? Bukankah ini yang kita harus lakukan apabila membuat pelaburan untuk mendapatkan wang? Shahril berhak untuk membuat sedikit keuntungan untuk dirinya dan keluarga akibat tekanan harga minyak mentah yang rendah sejak beberapa tahun lalu,” kata penganalisis itu.

Laporan harian sebuah berita berbahasa Inggeris baru-baru ini turut melaporkan bahawa Shahril dan keluarga tidak mengurangkan pegangan saham dalam Sapura Energy tetapi hanya menjual lebihan saham daripada bahagian tajajamin berjumlah RM4 bilion terbitan hak yang diselesaikan sepenuhnya pada Januari lalu.

Tambahan pula, Sapura Technology akan terus kekal untuk jangka panjang sebagai pemegang saham kedua terbesar Sapura dengan 12.55 peratus pegangan manakala Permodalan Nasional Berhad adalah pemegang saham terbesar dengan 40 peratus pegangan.

Shahril juga diberikan tambahan 798.95 juta Skim Opsyen Saham Pekerja (ESOS) yang bersamaan dengan 5.01 peratus pegangan dalam Sapura yang disandarkan kepada harga purata saham iaitu 30 sen.

“Jadi Shahril juga boleh melakukan penjualan saham ESOS dalam tempoh tiga tahun akan datang berikutan harga semasa saham Sapura berlegar pada paras RM0.35 sen. Jika dia mahu melaksanakan penjualan saham ESOS, pelabur seharusnya tidak melihat ia sebagai tindakan mahu meninggalkan Sapura. Shahril hanya melaksana untuk manfaatnya,” kata penganalisis.

Beliau menambah, Permodalan Nasional Berhad juga meletakkan banyak harapan kepada Sapura dan Shahril serta menyokong firma itu dengan tunai RM4 bilion sejak hari pertama lagi. Justeru mengapa Shahril harus melupakan segala-galanya sekarang?

Selain itu, firma penyelidikan dari Hong Leong Investment hingga kepada Alliance DBS, AmInvestment dan Public Investment memberikan sokongan kepada Sapura dengan meletakkan cadangan saham untuk dibeli selepas syarikat itu memperoleh kontrak bernilai RM1.3 bilion minggu lalu.

Penganalisis juga menyasarkan harga saham syarikat dijangka meningkat setinggi RM0.53 sen untuk tempoh 12 bulan akan datang daripada harga semasa RM0.35 sen.

“Melihat kepada faktor-faktor positif ini, kesimpulan bahawa Shahril tidak lagi sayang kepada Sapura adalah tidak berasas dan tidak kukuh,” kata penganalisis Maybank Investment.

Seorang wartawan yang membuat liputan mesyuarat agung tahunan luar biasa syarikat pada Disember tahun lalu berkata, Shahril sudah menyerahkan sepenuhnya ‘jiwa dan raga’ kepada Sapura serta ini dibuktikan dengan kata-katanya ketika dalam mesyuarat itu dengan menyenaraikan masa depan syarikat.

“Shahril memilih untuk melakukan perubahan kepada syarikat dan dia dilihat tidak sesekali mahu meninggalkan Sapura kerana syarikat ini umpama ‘anaknya’ dan akan terus menjadi legasinya untuk jangka masa panjang,” kata wartawan berkenaan.

Malaysian Property Expo (HOC–MAPEX) From 26 To 28 April 2019

The Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) Malaysia continues to support the Government’s Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019 initiative by organising HOC – MAPEX April 2019.

A property expo that not only continues the Association’s tradition of providing a one stop centre for purchasers to find their dream home, but maintains the cooperation it holds with the Government for the Campaign.

From 26 to 28 April 2019, a total of 72 private developers will be showcasing their properties located all over the Klang Valley, as well as Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan
and Pulau Pinang, amongst others.

Celcom And Huawei Collaborate To Create 5G Innovation Hub @Celcom

Celcom Axiata Berhad inked an agreement with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. to deploy Celcom’s very own 5G Innovation Hub at the Celcom headquarters named “@celcom” in Petaling Jaya Sentral.

THE unique collaboration between Celcom and Huawei entails the realization of a 5G Innovation Hub at Celcom Axiata’s Centre of Excellence (“CACE”).

The 5G Innovation Hub will be an opportunity for business partners, technology developers, academia and industry players to experience the agile deployment of new 5G verticals and 5G use cases, maximizing 5G potential and capabilities.

The hub will also enable Celcom to spearhead future inspiring innovations by testing the new 5G network performance and functionality, further benefiting vertical industries and speeding up the pace of 5G adoption in Malaysia.

The agreement was inked by Idham Nawawi, Chief Executive Officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad and Michael Yuan, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd at @celcom.

Celcom and Huawei will also collaborate to explore end-to-end transformation of the current network, evolving towards 5G. These end-to-end transformations include:

  • The evolution of RAN equipment to the Next Generation New Radio (NR) Base Station
  •  Transport backhaul will be enhanced to carry gigabits of traffic with extremely stringent latency to cope with the demanding requirements of 5G.
  • The mobile core network will be upgraded into the NSA Core, equipped with Mobile Edge
    Computing (MEC) technology to enhance the end user experience of 5G in the near future.
    The core network will also be an all cloud architecture featuring massive computing power but operating with greater efficiency at the same time.

PROTON yang memperkenalkan kedua-dua model tersebut di Pameran Auto Malaysia yang diadakan baru-baru ini, secara rasminya melancarkan Proton Iriz dan Persona 2019 di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) hari ini.

Model hatchback dan sedan keluarga segmen-B Proton itu telah ditambahbaik secara menyeluruh sebagai model 2019 dan telah diubahkan reka bentuknya, dilakukan penambahbaikan pada lebih 300 bahagian serta dengan pengenalan ciri-ciri pintar pertama dalam kelas yang membezakannya daripada pesaing-pesaing.
