Pos Malaysia Celebrates 80 Years Of Batman’s – Launched Limited Edition Stamp

First appearing as socialite turned crime-fighter Bruce Wayne in DC’s DETECTIVE COMICS #27 on March 30, 1939, the Dark Knight has stood as a symbol of determination, bravery and justice to generations of fans for 80 years.

Research To Reveal A Shocking Fact Behind Some Athletes’ Success

If you have ever wondered why some athletes are more likely to win than the others, you’re in for a surprise.

It turns out that even the way they travel can influence their performance drastically. Some sports teams have to fly over 370 000 km in a single season and depending on the comfort during the transit, they might have a 60% more chance of coming back home with gold.

A study following NBA players has shown that poor performance was more likely when the team had to cross three different time zones before a competition. To solve the problem, the NBA made a deal with an airline that allows the majority of their teams to use chartered jets specifically fitted to host the players.

The study showed that a comfortable way of travelling helped the athletes to save time, energy and prepare for the game mentally better than when flying with commercial planes.

“Chartered flights are extremely convenient for sports teams because they can take them directly to their destination without any additional headache from transfers or waiting in lines at the check-ins.

The athletes don’t have to worry about flight delays – private jet timetables meet the customer’s request precisely. Overtime is usual in sports and regular airlines do not have the flexibility to delay flights when that happens”, claims the CEO of KlasJet, Rita Domkute.

This drastic change happened after Zalgiris signined a deal with KlasJet and started using their business class Boeing 737. This was the best performance by the Lithuanian team since the 1999 season, when Zalgiris dominated the European basketball.

“Since this year the EuroLeague expanded the field to 18 teams instead of 16 and will have more games than ever before, it is extremely important to take the proper rest before the matches. Pemakanan Kanak-Kanak Malaysia Mungkin Kurang Nutrisi

Kajian baharu untuk terus mendapatkan maklumat lanjut dalam usaha menangani kekurangan zat makanan di rantau ini

Penyelidik utama bagi Kajian Nutrisi Asia Tenggara I (SEANUTS I) di Malaysia, Profesor Dr Poh Bee Koon dari Fakulti Sains Kesihatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) percaya bahawa kanak-kanak di rantau ini, terutama kanak-kanak Malaysia, masih terkesan dengan tabiat pemakanan yang kurang nutrisi.

Walaupun kajian SEANUTS I telah selesai pada 2011, Profesor Poh ketika berucap di majlis tandatangan kerjasama antara syarikat induk Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI) FrieslandCampina dan UKM bagi merasmikan permulaan SEANUTS II berkata, bahawa kanak-kanak tempatan dan di rantau ini masih belum mendapat nutrisi yang cukup dalam diet mereka.

Menurutnya, tinjauan di Malaysia menunjukkan satu daripada lima orang kanak-kanak mempunyai berat badan berlebihan atau obes, 1 hampir satu daripada 10 kanak-kanak terbantut untuk usia mereka, 2 dan satu dalam 20 kanak-kanak mempunyai masalah kurang berat badan, 3 hampir separuh daripada kanak-kanak tidak mendapat Vitamin D dan kalsium yang mencukupi, 4 dan sebahagian besar kanak-kanak berumur antara 7 hingga 12 tahun adalah tidak aktif secara fizikal.

Bagi SEANUTS II, maklumat yang akan dikumpulkan adalah berkaitan dengan status nutrisi, pertumbuhan, pengambilan makanan, aktiviti fizikal dan parameter biokimia kanak-kanak berusia enam bulan hingga 12 tahun.

Oleh kerana masalah kekurangan zat makanan yang teruk di rantau ini, kaji selidik tersebut akan memberi tumpuan tambahan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai penggunaan protein dan khasiat, kerana protein adalah zat asas yang kritikal untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan kanak-kanak.

Keputusan dijangka diperoleh pada 2021 dan akan digunakan untuk membangunkan kaedah campur tangan khusus sesebuah negara, memperkukuhkan pengetahuan saintifik dan menyokong dasar kerajaan.

During the symposium, PLI also shared the findings of the industry’s first global study in EV Technology and Fluids focusing on Electric Drive Units and Batteries. The study, carried out in collaboration with FEV Consulting, concluded that innovation is crucial in advancing EV performance and durability, and continued improvement is needed to promote increased adoption rates of electric transportation by consumers.

Commenting on the state of the industry, Electric Vehicle Outlook Founder and event host, Roger Atkins said, “Change is a challenge, and with the rapid integration of electric vehicles into the global mobility eco-system, that challenge is being met with unprecedented and active collaboration between OEMs, academia, and the world’s smartest engineering teams.

“I am encouraged to see the focus and ambition here at the EV Fluids Symposium. The twin imperatives of climate change and air quality can only be tackled by truly maximising the efficiency of our planet’s mobility machines, amongst others.”

At the PETRONAS Global R&T Centre, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to tour the product development laboratory and mechanical testing facilities to understand the experimental work that goes into developing PETRONAS e-fluids.

Since the introduction of PETRONAS Carbon Commitments in 2012, the company has decreased its monitored carbon footprint by 13% from 2017, which is a cumulative 12 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions reduction. PETRONAS is also collaborating with Daimler Automotive in green projects towards low-carbon fuel and vehicle emissions control.

More recently, PETRONAS’ efforts towards a sustainable future included the establishment of PETRONAS Carbon Commitments Guidelines and a New Energy unit to enhance capabilities in the renewables sphere.

Mitsubishi Triton Quest Baharu – Reka Bentuk Seakan ‘Sedan’

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), pengedar rasmi kenderaan Mitsubishi di Malaysia, memperkenalkan Mitsubishi Triton Quest yang baharu hari ini.

Triton Quest baharu adalah jentera serba boleh yang memiliki segalanya yang diperlukan oleh pelanggan untuk menjadikan pemanduan lebih mudah, termasuk enjin berkuasa, kawalan teguh dan kabin luas.

Triton Quest didatangkan dengan gaya reka bentuk seakan rupa `sedan’. Ditawarkan pada harga RM79,890, Triton Quest adalah trak pikap paling mampu dimiliki dan didatangkan dengan waranti lima tahun atau 100,000km (yang mana dahulu).

Untuk kemudahan, Triton Quest direka untuk senang memasukkan barangan kerana jarak dari tanah ke lampu belakang yang pendek. Triton Quest juga didatangkan dengan kotak penyimpanan rahsia kerusi belakang, mudah dicapai tetapi tidak mudah dilihat oleh orang dari luar.

Untuk penyimpanan, Triton Quest didatangkan dengan kapasiti muatan besar sehingga 970 kg termasuk penumpang dan muatan kargo, menjadikannya geladak kargo terbesar di dalam kategori pemanduan rendah.

Reka bentuk J-Line yang berfungsi, memberi lebih banyak ruang dan keselesaan bagi penumpang belakang dan mengekalkan ruang kargo yang begitu luas.

Triton Quest diperkasa enjin diesel turbo-caj 2.5 liter bagi kuasa, pecutan dan kecekapan lebih lagi, yang memberi pelanggan sebuah trak lengkap yang memenuhi segala jenis keperluan. Triton Quest menghasilkan 110 PS kuasa maksimum dan 200 Nm kuasa kilas.

Untuk kawalan, Triton Quest adalah Terbaik Di Dalam Kelasnya dengan keupayaan radius pusingan 5.7m, menjadikannya mudah dikendali dan dipandu pada jalan sempit dan tapak kerja yang sesak.

Triton Quest dilengkapi pelbagai ciri keselamatan yang pasti memikat pelanggan. Ia termasuk Talipinggang keledar dengan pra-penegang, Sistem Pemasa Elektronik dan Kawalan Penggera (ETACS) yang didatangkan dengan Sistem Isyarat Mengubah Laluan, Pemasa Kuasa Tingkap, Fungsi Tutup Auto Lampu Besar, Penggera Pintu Terbuka, Sistem Kunci Semula Pintu Automatik, Penggilap Cermin Boleh Diubah Kelajuan Auto dan penangguhan lampu ruang dalam 15 saat yang membolehkan lampu kabin kekal bernyala selama 15 saat selepas enjin kenderaan dimatikan.

Ciri keselamatan pada Triton Quest seterusnya diperteguhkan dengan binaan badan teguh Mitsubishi menggunakan teknologi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE).

Di samping itu, Triton Quest menambah Multi-Information Display yang memberikan maklumat penting mengenai trak seperti jarak perbatuan yang dilalui, peringatan servis, jarak bahan api dan purata penggunaan bahan api.

Penambahbaikan Produk bagi Triton Varian Ditawarkan Oleh Pengedar Sah MMM Triton Adventure X kini dipasang dengan Monitor Kawalan Penuh, sebuah ciri yang menggunakan banyak kamera di sekitar kenderaan bagi mewujudkan pandangan udara bagi membantu meletak kereta dan pengendalian.

McLaren Automotive Officially Opens Kuala Lumpur Showroom

In celebration of this occasion, the British marque unveils the all new McLaren GT retails at RM908,000 (before taxes)

McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury, high-performance sportscars and supercars, reveals the new retailer location of McLaren Kuala Lumpur in Glenmarie, Kuala Lumpur.

This is the brand’s sole retail presence in Malaysia and it is operated by Mc Farren Supercars. The sophisticated design of this new 420m 2 sales facility allows owners and fans to fully immerse themselves in the world of the iconic automotive and motorsports brand.

It provides the ultimate customer experience and offers sales, aftersales, accessories as well as servicing of the full range of McLaren models. On the ground floor, prospective customers are able to customise their McLaren with the interactive car configurator.

While a new design feature, the McLaren Window, provides a unique view into the McLaren Production Centre (MPC) back in Woking, England.
