The Authentic FullView Display

The ultra-slim laptop market is experiencing rapid growth. Always pursuing design perfection, HUAWEI leaned on its expertise in smartphone technology and system integration capabilities to realise the ultra-slim bezel design on its FullView displays.

This design approach lets HUAWEI pack a large display into a portable chassis and offer the best of both worlds.

In line with the rest of the HUAWEI MateBook family, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 comes with a FullView display. Measuring at just 5.3mm thin, three ultra-thin bezels frame the display, resulting in an outstanding 87 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The lightweight chassis is accentuated by a streamlined design with curved edges to produce a sleeker look. The small enhancements – such as the thinner bezels and recessed camera – allow HUAWEI to further shrink the form factor of the laptop.

With dimensions measuring at just 357.8×229.9×16.9mm, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 is one of the smallest and lightest 15.6-inch laptops in the same price band to date, offering a wide viewing experience in a portable package.

Underneath the anti-glare coating, the 15.6-inch 16:9 IPS panel supports a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution and a maximum opening angle of 178 degrees. The premium display is perfectly suited for any content, whether it is a high-resolution image or a Blu-ray video.

The panel on the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 has also been TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light emission, allowing for better eye protection.

Powerful Processor Offers Solid Performance

Consumers see in PCs not just a tool that lets them work, but a platform that lets them have fun as well. The HUAWEI MateBook D 15 AMD Edition is powered by a 12nm AMD Ryzen™ 5 3500U mobile processor to deliver a powerful performance while retaining a high level of stability and reliability.

For GPU, the AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics embedded in the laptop provides outstanding graphics processing support. The HUAWEI MateBook D 15 AMD Edition also includes a new version of the HUAWEI Shark Fin Fan. With the new s-shaped fan blades, HUAWEI Shark Fin Fan 2.0 optimises air flow dynamically for improved cooling and laptop performance.

A portable, multi-purpose 65W USB-C charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable is included with
the HUAWEI MateBook D 15. The charger supports all HUAWEI smartphones and tablets that are equipped with a USB-C port. It also features overheat protection, which automatically stops the charging process once the temperature crosses a threshold to ensure safety.

Equipped with up to 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 has
enough memory to handle most high load apps on the market. The solid-state drive (SSD) in the new HUAWEI MateBook D 15 is connected to the mainboard via the high speed PCIe interface.

Consumers are given two storage configuration options – the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 may
either be configured with an SSD or a combination of SSD and hard disk. For users that require additional storage, capacity may be upgraded at the time of order.

It also supports G-sensor, which safeguards the data saved in the hard disk in the event of a drop. The dual-antenna WLAN module effectively receives WLAN signal for enhanced connection speed and stability.

On the side, a diverse selection of interfaces can support multiple I/O needs simultaneously, including data transfer, peripheral connection and battery charging.

Smart Connection Made Easy

In November 2018, HUAWEI launched HUAWEI One Tap Share, enabling users to easily
transfer files including images and videos between smartphones and PCs. The solution
revolutionised the way users move files between Windows and Android devices by addressing the challenges of cross-platform file transfers.

The latest HUAWEI MateBook D Series introduces a new set of cross-screen collaboration
capabilities that are built upon the foundations of HUAWEI One Tap Share. The new features enable the HUAWEI MateBook and a HUAWEI smartphone to share a single display, in which users can drag files from one user interface to the other to transfer files, and view the contents saved in the smartphone directly on the laptop.

Cili atau nama saintifiknya Capsicum annum adalah tanaman sayuran yang popular di Malaysia.

Sebagai negara yang mempunyai kepelbagaian makanan dan bangsa, cili merupakan perasa utama di kalangan rakyat negara ini.

Antara khasiat cili ia bersifat antibiotik, berupaya mengurangkan tahap kolestrol LDL bagi individu yang obes dan juga sebagai bahan antioksida.

Kandungan Vitamin C dalam cili adalah 8 kali lebih banyak daripada limau. Vitamin C adalah antioksidan yang larut air yang kuat. Ia diperlukan untuk sintesis kolagen dalam badan.

Pengenalan

  • Cili (Capsicum annum) dan Cili api (Capsicum frutescent) – Sejenis sayuran berbuah daripada keluarga Solanaceae
  • Variati tempatan- kulai, cili bangi

Ciri-Ciri Tanaman

Malaysia’s Tallest Christmas Tree Made Of Mobile Phone Boxes

Recognised in the Malaysia Book of Records 2020

REALME Malaysia has shown another Dare to Leap effort in making Malaysians wish come true in 2020. This new year, realme Malaysia collaborated with Mobile 2 Go in bringing fans an exciting leap forward to the year 2020 moment by building a 6.35 meters tall Christmas tree-like using realme smartphone boxes.

“Truly impressed with the effort made by the team at realme Malaysia and Mobile 2 Go for breaking the Malaysia Book of Records on the Tallest Christmas Tree Made of Mobile Phone Boxes in Malaysia.

“We hope that with such creativity and effort, we could inspire everyone to keep their Dare to Leap attitude and continue to break records in 2020 by staying real,” said Tiffany Teh, Brand Manager of realme Malaysia.

The cone shape like standard Christmas tree height up to 6.35 meters was built within 7 days by using 1,645 realme mobile boxes. The other supporting structure for the Christmas Tree Phone Boxes consists of bricks for the base, brackets holder, iron rod as structure holder, necessary tools and materials.

Approximately 20 people were involved to build up the Christmas tree and it was targeted to be displayed starting yesterday until the 2nd week of January 2020.

Perodua Bezza 2020 Kini Dibuka Untuk Tempahan

Perodua akan memperkenalkan Perodua Bezza 2020 – versi terbaharu sedan popularnya yang menawarkan rekaan bijak, pemanduan bijak dan keselamatan bijak sempena kedatangan tahun baharu.

Dibangunkan berdasarkan maklum balas pelanggan, Perodua Bezza 2020 ditawarkan dalam varian 1.0 G MT, 1.0 G AT, 1.3 X AT dan 1.3 V AV, berharga dari RM34,580 hingga RM49,980 (harga atas jalan sebelum insuran di Semenanjung Malaysia).

Perodua kini menerima tempahan untuk Perodua Bezza 2020 melalui kesemua 186 pusat jualannya di seluruh negara.

“Perodua Bezza merupakan sedan pertama kami dan juga sedan Kenderaan Cekap Tenaga (EEV) pertama di Malaysia, dengan upper-body yang direka sepenuhnya oleh kami.

“Ia terbukti popular di kalangan rakyat Malaysia, dengan jualan 184,000 unit sejak pelancarannya pada Julai 2016,” kata Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perodua, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Perodua Bezza 2020 tampil dengan gril hadapan dan bampar baharu, juga lampu hadapan LED dan skirt sisi dwi-tona yang kedua-duanya terdapat pada semua varian.

Varian X dan AV dilengkapi dengan rim aloi 15 inci manakala cermin sisi berkuasa boleh laras kini terdapat pada semua varian (boleh lipat pada AV).

Dua warna luaran baharu bagi Bezza – Garnet Red (bagi varian-varian 1.3 liter sahaja) dan Granite Grey – menyertai empat warna yang sedia ada, iaitu Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Ocean Blue dan Sugar Brown.

Sistem Bantuan Pemanduan Selamat (ASA*) 2.0 kini memasuki barisan Perodua Bezza menerusi varian AV, menjadikannya sedan dengan ciri sedemikian yang paling mampu milik di Malaysia.

ASA 2.0 yang membantu mengurangkan risiko pelanggaran terdiri daripada Pengesan Pejalan Kaki (sehingga 50 km/j), Amaran Pra-Pelanggaran (sehingga 100 km/j), Brek Pra-Pelanggaran (sehingga 80 km/j), Amaran Pergerakan Hadapan dan Kawalan Kesilapan Pedal.

Petronas will be taking the lead in rallying industry players to elevate project management standards by hosting the inaugural International Project Management Conference (IPMC) 2020 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 30 November 2020 to 2 December 2020.

The conference which will be held biennially aims to share cross-industry best practices, lessons learnt, cutting edge technologies, processes and tools in line with the theme “Beyond Projects – Embracing the New Era” in response to the wave of global digital transformation and the need to upskill project management teams with the necessary technical knowledge and capabilities to deliver better project value.

As prolonged volatility in oil prices and challenging market conditions continue to affect the future of the oil & gas industry, IPMC 2020 is established as a platform to explore how the Project Management fraternity can address challenges and drive industry competitiveness both locally and globally.

Chairman of IPMC 2020 and Petronas Vice President of Group Project Delivery, Project Delivery & Technology Noor Ilias Mohd Idris said: “Technological, social and market evolutions that are currently changing the world have also begun to transform all aspects of project management.

TM Supports 5G Deployment In Langkawi With Its Integrated Operations Command Centre

Deployed the Region’s First Stand Alone (SA) Dedicated 5G network

TELEKOM Malaysia Berhad (TM) is fully supportive of the 5G Demonstration Project (5GDP) currently undertaken by Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

The Company has already embarked on a total of 11 use cases in Langkawi and deployed the operations of an Integrated Operations Command Centre (IOCC) which is at the heart of 5G implementation in Langkawi.

The IOCC, or also known as 5G Command Centre (5GCC), which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is an integrated command centre where the data feed and dashboard monitoring of TM 5G network and use cases in Langkawi are centralised.

This 5GDP is recording a number of firsts for TM and the country:

1) The first Telco to deploy SA dedicated 5G network in the country and in the region.
2) The first telco in the region to update our Radio Access Network (RAN) and devices with SA dedicated 5G network.
3) The first Telco in the country to achieve 1.5Gbps for 5G speed tests conducted within its 5G use cases sites.
4) Langkawi is the first Smart Tourism Island in the world equipped with 5G

Dato’ Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM said: “We fully support MCMC’s 5GDP and we are currently testing the implementation of a converged 5G core network which allows co-existence of Non-Stand Alone (NSA) (5G enabled on current 4G network) and Stand Alone (SA) dedicated 5G network in Langkawi.

SA is the future of the 5G network deployment and this demonstration is crucial to fast track 5G implementation in the country. With the implementation of the SA network in Langkawi for the 5GDP, TM is the first Telco that has deployed the first SA dedicated 5G network in the country and in the region. We are also proud to note that 5G speed tests conducted within TM’s 5G use cases sites have achieved up to 1.5Gbps.

“I’m also pleased to update that TM is the first telco in the region to update our Radio Access Network (RAN) and devices with SA dedicated 5G network.”

“For 5GDP in Langkawi, we have deployed the highest number of 5G use cases among the participating telcos and all the 5G network and use cases sites can be monitored via the dashboard at the 5GCC, where our expert, qualified technical team works 24/7 to monitor the operations.

“It is also linked to the local authorities and emergency response services which allow for the communities as well as tourists to experience a smarter, safer living. In addition, we open the 5GCC for all other Service Providers to deploy their monitoring dashboards so all relevant data can be centralised for collective insights.”

Gerbang Langkawi Platform (for Smart Water Management System, Smart Vehicle System, Smart Retail Analytics, Smart Safety Helmet and Geolocation People Safety Solutions) Backed up by analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and data-driven insights, the 5GCC is furnished with advanced integrated security features to serve as a security monitoring centre through closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras being installed at hotspots on the island.

It is also equipped with face and vehicle recognition system that will assist authorities in public safety and surveillance as well as with criminal investigation, crime prevention and citizen protection. It also monitors weather sensors, tsunami alarms, wind speed systems that have been installed at TM’s designated 5G use cases sites in Kuah and Cenang.

The control centre empowers local agencies in promoting tourism safety and attractions effectively, unravelling businesses growth opportunities for the local and providing a safer and smarter crowd control for tourists that will help drive forward Langkawi as a Smart Tourism Island.

The monitoring dashboards provides real-time data and consolidated information from all the use cases, for example traffic, parking and security conditions of the 5G use cases areas in Kuah and Pantai Cenang, water consumption level, retail footfall and customer emotions data, number of incidents and alerts, among others.

In addition, the authorities can receive alerts and notifications, such as distress calls and response via a panic button from the closed circuit television (CCTV) poles deployed with the smart safety and security solution, or alerts during emergencies e.g. accidents at the workplace, missing individuals, detection of unhappy customers at retail outlets and detection of dangerous driving.

These alerts enable the authorities to mobilise resources swiftly during any undesirable incidents or emergency situations, thereby improving their ability to react and respond to the Rakyat's needs in a timely manner for any emergencies.

Proton Rekod Jualan Kenderaan 100,821 Unit Bagi 2019

Kenaikan jualan bulan Disember menjadikan jumlah melebihi 100,000 unit buat pertama kali sejak 2015

PROTON menutup tirai 2019 dengan cemerlang apabila mencatatkan jualan tertinggi pada Disember iaitu sebanyak 11,117 unit bagi keseluruhan 2019, meningkat sebanyak 112% berbanding bulan sama pada 2018.

Jumlah ini bersamaan 20.5% dalam Jumlah Keseluruhan Industri (TIV) pada bulan Disember dan ini juga merupakan kali pertama syarikat menjual lebih daripada 11,000 kereta dalam tempoh sebulan sejak Julai 2014.

Oleh kerana prestasi jualan bulanan yang kukuh, jumlah jualan bagi keseluruhan tahun 2019 berakhir sebanyak 100,821 unit (eksport + domestik), di mana buat pertama kali jualan berjaya mencecah jumlah 100,000 unit sejak 2015.

Jumlah ini adalah bersamaan dengan peningkatan sebanyak 55.7% berbanding tahun 2018, meletakkan Proton sebagai lima teratas bagi pertumbuhan jualan tertinggi pada tahun 2019 dalam kalangan jenama automotif di Malaysia.

Pegangan pasaran pula dianggarkan berada pada 16.7%, angka tertinggi sejak 2014.
Model-model Proton menutup 2019 sebagai pilihan paling popular dalam segmen masing-masing dan faktor kepada pertumbuhan jualan Proton adalah Proton X70, serta empat model naik taraf yang dilancarkan pada 2019 dengan kenaikan peratusan jualan sebanyak dua angka.

Proton X70 mendapat jumlah jualan yang memberangsang pada sepanjang tahun pertama ia diperkenalkan dan mencatat rekod sebagai SUV premium terlaris di Malaysia. Model tersebut turut mengekalkan kedudukan sebagai yang teratas dalam segmennya sepanjang tahun dan mengakhiri 2019 dengan jumlah jualan sebanyak 26,331 unit.

Selain itu, jualan Proton Saga juga terus meningkat sejak pelancarannya pada 6 Ogos lalu. Model terkini dalam rangkaian Proton itu sekali lagi menjadi sedan segmen A paling popular dengan jualan sebanyak 3,892 unit pada bulan Disember.

Keseluruhan jualan untuk 2019 adalah sebanyak 38,144 unit, bersamaan peningkatan sebanyak 36%.

Tidak dilupakan, Proton Persona, sedan keluarga segmen B yang lengkap dengan ciri-ciri pintar, mengakhiri bulan Disember dengan jualan sebanyak 3,384 unit. Angka tersebut meletakkan Persona di kedudukan teratas dalam segmennya bagi bulan Disember dan juga merupakan jumlah tertinggi bagi model itu sejak Mac 2012.

Meskipun terdapat beberapa bulan yang mana jualan tidak begitu memberangsangkan iaitu ketika tempoh Proton mula memperkenalkan Persona 2019 berbanding model sebelum itu, jumlah keseluruhan masih meningkat 29% iaitu sebanyak 21,876 unit pada tahun lepas.

The Last Overland Expedition From Singapore Reaches In London

The Last Overland, a team reversing the famous 1955 Oxford & Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition have concluded their journey from Singapore to London.

There to meet them at the finish line – just steps from the original expedition finish line in 1956 – was a New Defender 110 with specially commissioned Oxford & Cambridge Expedition livery.

The new Land Rover came face-to-face with “Oxford” the 1955 Series I Land Rover which completed both the 1955 and 2019 expeditions.

The Last Overland was supported by Land Rover on a large number of stops along their 114 day expedition, including the flag-off in Singapore in August whilst more recently the Overland team visited Nitra, Slovakia where the New Defender is built.

The special livery was commissioned in the original Oxford Blue & Cambridge Blue, alongside Oxford & Cambridge Expeditions lettering on the door – both being features of previous expedition vehicles.

This was complimented with the use of the Last Overland’s branding to provide a fitting welcome to the team.

Alex recounts, “This journey has definitely been an action packed one, filled with many ups and downs, and I can’t believe how quickly the eighteen months that went into planning this journey has brought us here, all in one piece so far!

We’ve managed to drive this incredible 64-year-old car once more, to so many remote and fascinating parts of the world, through tropical monsoons, -20 degree and at more than 5000m above sea level.

Oxford has taken it all in stride. From Nagaland to Tibet, from Turkmenistan to Serbia, the welcome we’ve received has been unbelievable.”
