Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today extended its commitment to delivering the most up-to-date and more secure mobile experience possible for users by offering up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades on select Galaxy devices.
This improved standard builds upon Samsung’s previous promise to provide up to three generations of upgrades and ensures millions of Galaxy users have access to the latest features for security, productivity, better usability and more, for as long as they own their device.
Available on selected Galaxy S series, Z series and A series smartphones, as well as tablets, Samsung is planning to scale this effort across its various product ranges within the Galaxy ecosystem and works closely with partners to deliver Android OS upgrades through Samsung One UI.
Samsung also provides up to four years of upgrades to One UI Watch and Wear OS Powered by Samsung, ensuring that users can enjoy the latest Galaxy Watch experiences.
In addition to offering extended One UI upgrades, Samsung will now provide up to five years of security updates to help protect select Galaxy devices. These updates – when paired with Samsung’s award-winning defense-grade security platform Samsung Knox – give Galaxy devices more secure end-to-end protection against potential security threats.
On top of that, Samsung Galaxy Enterprise Edition customers will receive a one-year license for Samsung Knox Suite solutions to easily deploy and manage devices with access to a dashboard that tracks security updates and more.

Majlis Minyak Sawit Malaysia (MPOC), melancarkan kempen pengguna ‘Malaysian Palm Oil Full of Goodness’ di Pasar Raya LuLu yang terletak di Dubai Silicon Oasis dalam usaha
memacu pertumbuhan komoditi tersebut di UAE.
Dilancarkan oleh Timbalan Menteri Perusahaan Perladangan dan Komoditi Malaysia, Datuk Willie Anak Mongin, acara itu adalah bersempena dengan penyertaan kementerian dalam Ekspo 2020 Dubai, yang kini diadakan di Pavilion Malaysia di Dubai Selatan dari 6 hingga 12 Februari 2022.
Sebelum itu, satu MoU dimeterai antara MPOC dan Lulu Group International (LULU) untuk mempromosikan dan memasarkan produk berasaskan minyak sawit Malaysia melalui rangkaian pasar raya besar LULU di UAE.
Kerjasama itu turut merangkumi kerjasama dalam pelbagai kelebihan teknologi dan ekonomi antara kedua-dua pihak.
Industri minyak sawit selama beberapa dekad kekal sebagai salah satu tonggak utama ekonomi Malaysia. Malaysia kini merupakan pengeluar dan pengeksport minyak sawit kedua terbesar di dunia, menyumbang 24 peratus daripada pengeluaran minyak sawit global dan 31 peratus daripada eksport global.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MPOC, Wan Aishah Wan Hamid berkata, “Sebagai hab utama di Timur Tengah, UAE sentiasa menjadi destinasi eksport terbesar Malaysia dan sumber import kedua terbesar di rantau ini dan berfungsi sebagai pintu masuk bagi Malaysia untuk menembusi pasaran baharu di rantau ini”.
Bagi tahun 2021, rantau Timur Tengah dan Afrika Utara mengimport 2.34 juta tan minyak sawit Malaysia, meningkat 8.2 peratus berbanding tempoh yang sama pada 2020. Turki, Iran, Arab Saudi dan UAE menyumbang 84 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan eksport minyak sawit Malaysia ke rantau Timur Tengah.
Pasaran minyak sawit UAE, yang kini pengimport minyak sawit keempat terbesar di dunia Arab, dijangka mencecah USD467.1 juta menjelang 2025, menurut laporan terbaharu oleh Grand View Research, Inc.
“Terdapat juga kebimbangan kesihatan yang semakin meningkat mengenai penggunaan lemak trans, yang telah mendorong keutamaan pengguna terhadap lemak tepu seperti minyak sawit.
“Peningkatan permintaan terhadap produk makanan berkualiti tinggi daripada pelancong dan juga pengguna tempatan telah mendorong permintaannya.
“Oleh itu, kami berharap untuk berkongsi semua ini melalui kempen pengguna “Malaysian Palm Oil Full of Goodness” yang sedang berjalan selama seminggu.
“Penggunaan minyak sawit sebagai bahan mentah untuk kegunaan bukan makanan seperti dalam industri kecantikan, oleokimia dan biodiesel menjadikan komoditi ini antara komoditi terpenting untuk pasaran global.
“Penggunaan minyak sawit dalam industri makanan komersial adalah meluas kerana kosnya yang lebih rendah dan kestabilan oksidatif yang lebih tinggi bagi produk ditapis apabila digunakan untuk menggoreng.
“Malah, ia digunakan dalam kira-kira 50 peratus produk yang dibeli dan digunakan oleh pengguna setiap hari,” katanya.
Pecahan dan derivatif minyak sawit digunakan secara meluas sebagai alternatif untuk lemak bakeri dan minyak sayuran yang mahal termasuk kacang tanah, kelapa dan bunga matahari.
Selain itu, pemproses makanan dan minuman semakin memilih pecahan dan terbitan berasaskan sawit; disebabkan ketersediaannya yang tinggi, kos yang kompetitif dan fungsi yang lebih besar.
Dari segi kelestarian, Malaysia telah mengukuhkan komitmennya dengan menerima pakai program pensijilan Minyak Sawit Lestari Malaysia (MSPO) di seluruh negara, yang telah diwajibkan sejak 1 Januari 2020.
“Pengenalan pensijilan MSPO telah meningkatkan dengan ketara tahap kemampanan minyak sayuran sambil melindungi ekonomi dan ekologi Malaysia sebagai sebahagian daripada komitmen kami untuk memerangi perubahan iklim,” katanya.
Selain minyak sawit, komoditi pertanian utama Malaysia yang lain ialah getah, kayu,
koko, lada dan kenaf.

Kementerian Kerja Raya sentiasa peka terhadap permasalahan yang melibatkan masyarakat khususnya golongan yang terkesan akibat bencana banjir yang melanda negara baru-baru ini.
Menteri Kanan Kerja Raya, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof berkata, pihak kementerian ketika ini giat menjalankan kerja baik pulih infrastruktur yang rosak seperti jambatan, jalan raya Persekutuan, negeri serta membaiki cerun-cerun yang mengalami kerosakan.
“Tugas tugas ini akan bertambah sekiranya ada bencana seperti banjir yang berlaku di seluruh negara khususnya di Lembah Klang.
“Justeru, kementerian telah mengaktifkan bilik Gerakan Bencana yang beroperasi 24 jam bagi memantau situasi banjir di seluruh Negara menerusi kerjasama dengan agensi kerajaan yang lain bagi memudahkan kerja bantuan seperti perpindahan, penghantaran bantuan selain pembinaan jambatan ‘Compact Bailey’ yang merentasi Sungai Langat,” katanya ketika mengadakan pertemuan dengan Pengerusi NGO Antarabangsa yang juga Profesor Adjung UMT, Dato’ Dr Mustapha Ahmad Marican di pejabatnya baru-baru ini.

Beliau berkata, kementerian juga terbabit membina semula rumah yang rosak dan hilang ketika bencana banjir berlaku menerusi Bantuan Rumah Kekal Banjir (RKB) yang akan diberi secara percuma kepada pemilik yang terkesan teruk atau rumah telah dihanyut
arus.
Sementara itu, Dr Mustapha berkata, peranan yang dimainkan oleh Kementerian Kerjaya amat bermakna kepada masyarakat dan negara.
Beliau berkata, ini jelas dapat dilihat apabila berlaku bencana alam seperti banjir, ribut yang menyebabkan kemudahan awam seperti jalan raya, cerun dan jambatan rosak.
Menurutnya, langkah-langkah yang dilakukan itu membuktikan keprihatinan kementerian dan kepantasan dalam membantu meringankan beban rakyat yang terkesan menerusi kerjasama dengan agensi kerajaan lain.

Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) menyambut baik saranan YAB Perdana Menteri supaya memberi penekanan terhadap pembangunan modal insan negara dalam bidang Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal dan Vokasional (TVET) khususnya berkaitan keperluan pembangunan dan peningkatan kemahiran dan kebolehpasaran tenaga kerja.
Usaha dan tumpuan kerajaan dalam pembangunan modal insan ini disokong dalam pembentangan bajet 2022 apabila kerajaan memperuntukkan sebanyak RM6.6 bilion untuk
tujuan pendidikan termasuk pemerkasaan TVET.
Menurut Ketua Eksekutif Yayasan Peneraju, Kol Bersekutu (PA) Ts. Dr Mohd Muzzammil
Ismail, Yayasan Peneraju sememangnya telah menyediakan program latihan TVET sejak
penubuhannya 10 tahun lalu.
Objektif program-program ini adalah untuk menyumbang kepada peningkatan bilangan Bumiputera yang memiliki pensijilan kemahiran tinggi yang diiktiraf di peringkat industri dan antarabangsa seterusnya mencapai sasaran negara untuk meningkatkan bilangan tenaga kerja berkemahiran tinggi tempatan.
Sejak tahun 2020, Yayasan Peneraju meluaskan lagi penawaran program TVET yang mempunyai elemen kebolehpasaran dan kebolehgajian kepada golongan bekerja & tidak bekerja – ini termasuk graduan-graduan baru, siswazah menganggur, mereka yang kehilangan pekerjaan, ataupun mereka yang ingin meningkatkan kemahiran ‘upskill’ atau mempertingkatkan kemahiran ‘reskill’ ke tahap yang lebih tinggi.
Yayasan Peneraju bekerjasama rapat dengan lebih 100 pemain industri, rakan-rakan
program, penyedia latihan dan pihak berkepentingan yang lain bagi memastikan lebih 370
program yang ditawarkan berkualiti, relevan dan meningkatkan kadar kebolehpasaran
penerima faedahnya.
Selain itu, penempatan pekerjaan menjadi keutamaan Yayasan Peneraju dengan pendekatan Train “Place ataupun Place Train’ untuk memastikan mereka memperoleh pekerjaan setelah tamat program.
“Kami sedang merangka beberapa program berimpak tinggi di dalam sektor automotif,
aeroangkasa, sumber tenaga baru (seperti solar), telekomunikasi (fiber optik), elektrikal
(wireman & chargeman), kereta api dan sebagainya bagi membolehkan lebih ramai lagi
peserta menyertai program kami.
“Aspirasi kami adalah untuk menjadi pemain utama dalam melahirkan modal insan yang
serba boleh, berkemahiran tinggi dan berdaya saing bagi menyumbang kepada sosio-
ekonomi negara kita.
“Bagi kami, usaha dalam membangunkan modal insan penting dan perlu diteruskan agar Bumiputera mampu bersaing dalam pasaran kerja yang menawarkan peluang pekerjaan yang bernilai dan berimpak tinggi”, kata Mohd Muzzammil.
Setakat ini, 19,135 graduan baru, tenaga kerja sedia ada, belia keciciran & penganggur
diberi latihan TVET re-skilling & upskilling dalam sektor berpendapatan tinggi. 2,460 pelajar
lepasan SPM sehingga individu bekerja dilatih untuk pengiktirafan pensijilan profesional
dalam bidang ICT & MRO Aeroangkasa.
Antara cabang kerjaya yang ditawarkan adalah Specialist In CAD/CAM, System Integration
in Automation & Robotics, Dynamic Positioning Officer, Scaffolding Level 3, Welding
Inspector Level 1 & 2 dan Drone Certification Training di dalam sektor perkilangan, minyak & gas, pembuatan, maritim dan lain-lain.
Para peserta yang mengikuti program ini akan menjalani latihan di lokasi terpilih di seluruh Malaysia termasuk Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Johor, Terengganu, Sabah dan Sarawak.
Melalui usaha yang berterusan ini, Yayasan Peneraju berharap lebih ramai modal insan Bumiputera akan turut serta dan menjadi sebahagian daripada lebih 46,000 penerima
faedah Yayasan Peneraju yang lain.

Para tetamu yang merancang untuk terbang ke Sarawak kini mempunyai lebih banyak pilihan masa penerbangan kerana AirAsia akan menambah kekerapan penerbangannya ke Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu dan Miri dengan jumlah penerbangan sebanyak 319 penerbangan pada setiap minggu bermula 14 Feb.
Penerbangan yang menghubungkan Semenanjung Malaysia ke empat buah bandar di Sarawak ini boleh ditempah melalui airasia Super App dengan menekan ikon ‘Flights’ dan tambang sehala daripada RM108 atau 10,800 airasia poin. Tetamu yang mempunyai akaun kredit juga boleh menggunakannya untuk menebus penerbangan ini.
Selain menambah kekerapan ke Sarawak, AirAsia juga menawarkan tambang promosi daripada serendah RM18 sehala atau dengan hanya 1,800 airasia poin untuk penerbangan domestik ke Pulau Pinang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, Miri dan banyak lagi.
Penerbangan antarabangsa ke Bangkok, Phuket, Phnom Penh, Singapura dan lain-lain juga tersedia dengan tambang promosi daripada RM99 sehala atau dengan hanya 9,900 airasia poin.
Para tetamu boleh menempah tambang promosi ini dari sekarang hingga 13 Februari 2022 untuk tempoh perjalanan dari 14 Februari hingga 30 September 2022.
AirAsia turut bekerjasama dengan Visa bagi menawarkan diskaun RM15 untuk tempahan penerbangan menggunakan kad Visa dengan perbelanjaan minimum RM200 semasa tempoh promosi ini.
AirAsia telah memanfaatkan tempoh sekatan perjalanan selama 20 bulan yang lalu untuk menaik taraf dan memperbaharui prosedur penerbangannya demi keselamatan dan kesejahteraan para tetamu dan kakitangannya.
AirAsia hanya akan menerima tetamu yang telah divaksin sepenuhnya dalam penerbangannya, dan memastikan semua penerbangan dikendalikan oleh juruterbang dan kru kabin yang telah divaksin sepenuhnya. Begitu juga dengan kakitangan operasi dan pengendali bagasi di terminal.
Selain itu, AirAsia menjaminkan standard keselamatan tertinggi, seiring dengan rancangan mitigasi Covid-19 nya yang termasuk hanya menerima tetamu yang telah divaksin sepenuhnya dalam penerbangan, mewajibkan proses daftar masuk secara kendiri melalui airasia Super App dan melancarkan sistem pengecaman wajah FACES menjadikan keseluruhan pengalaman perjalanan secara digital.

With Galaxy Unpacked 2022 just days away, Samsung Electronics is teasing the power of its advanced low-light smartphone photography capabilities with an eye-popping 3D billboard campaign.
The star of the campaign is an animal known for its powerful night vision and vivid coloring: the tiger.
Starting on February 4, Samsung’s “Tiger in the City” campaign will bring a giant 3D tiger roaring to life on digital 3D displays in five of the world’s most vibrant cities – New York, London, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.
