Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur ushers in a new era of pure, driver-focused performance with the official launch of the new Aston Martin Vantage in Malaysia.
The latest iteration of the quintessential Aston Martin sports car is the fastest Vantage to ever roll out of Gaydon in its 74-year history. The new Vantage blends power with razor-sharp handling and the perfect balance of a finely-tuned front-engine, rear-wheel drive chassis.
The remarkable lineage of the Aston Martin Vantage can be traced back to 1950, when the
Vantage name was first used to denote an uprated engine package for the race-proven DB2.
The first time Vantage was applied as a model designation was in 1964, when a high-performance Vantage-badged version of the DB5 became the new flagship of the range. A standalone Vantage model was introduced in the early 1970s, from which point the nameplate has played an increasingly prominent role in Aston Martin’s model line-up.
The Malaysian debut of the new Vantage comes during one of the most dynamic periods in the 111-year history of Aston Martin. Aston Martin is established in the motorsports arena as a formidable force in the 2023 Formula One® season, a dominant presence in international GT racing, where Vantage has a rich history as the most successful endurance GT racer, and a front-line challenger in the World Endurance Championship, with the Valkyrie AMR aiming for Le Mans 24 Hours glory in 2025.

Powered by a heavily reworked, hand-built 4.0-litre Twin-Turbo V8 engine, the new Vantage hits new performance heights with peaks of 665PS and a colossal 800Nm of torque. Extensive tuning by Aston Martin engineers, the adoption of modified cam profiles, optimised compression ratios, larger turbos, and increased cooling have produced the most substantial improvements in power and torque for a new Vantage in comparison to its successor, with the increases of 155PS and 115Nm equating to gains of 30% and 15% respectively.
Mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the V8 engine propels the new Vantage to
100km/h from a standstill in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h. Standing start
acceleration has been perfected with the introduction of a new Launch Control system.
The new Aston Martin Vantage is built around Aston Martin’s latest generation bonded aluminium construction. Its highly evolved aluminium body structure delivers more focused and engaging dynamics thanks to additional underbody stiffening components for increased overall torsional rigidity.
Aston Martin engineers have given obsessive attention to the Vantage’s Electronic Power Assisted Steering system (EPAS). The fitment of a non-isolated steering column means steering inputs from the driver are quick and direct, while the flow of information from the road is granular in detail and pleasingly tactile.
Steering response and front-end grip has been further enhanced by ‘AML’ coded Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres made specifically for the Vantage.
Measuring 275/35 R21 (103Y) front and 325/30 R21 (108Y) rear, they feature a bespoke compound and have been tuned by the Aston Martin dynamics team to suit the super-sharp response, high grip levels and progressive breakaway characteristics expected from the most driver-focused model in the Aston Martin range.
The new Aston Martin Vantage is now available for booking in Malaysia, with a starting price of RM2,370,000 excluding options and customisation. The retail price includes a three-year factory warranty, which customers can opt to extend to enjoy up to 20 years of coverage.

Finding the Balance between Innovation and the Environment
Samsung is reimagining how Galaxy technology is designed and packaged to do more with less when it comes to our planet’s natural resources. For the last decade, we have worked to innovate high-performance components that are made with recycled materials.
We took an important step in 2022 when we incorporated recycled discarded fishing nets, also known as ghost nets, in the Galaxy S22 series. Recycled materials can now be found in all Galaxy mobile products, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and wearables.
At the same time, we have expanded our use to a greater variety of materials, from several different types of plastics to metals and glass.
Visualizing how the Galaxy S24 series is designed and packaged to do more with less for people and the planet The Galaxy S24 series takes these actions one step further. For the first time in any Galaxy device, we developed key device components with recycled cobalt, rare earth elements and steel.
The battery in the Galaxy S24 Ultra contains a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt, and 100% recycled rare earth elements and a minimum of 40% recycled steel were used in the speakers.
Samsung has a long history of addressing the pervasive challenge of plastic waste through our recycled material innovations, and recycled plastics continue to play an important role in the Galaxy S24 series.
The Galaxy S24 series maintains our use of recycled plastics sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and PET bottles.
The recycled ocean-bound plastic 6 material was created in partnership with global organizations who collected discarded fishing nets abandoned near the oceans. The nets’ properties were separated, cleaned and extruded before optimizing them into high-performance, recycled polyamide pellets.
Similarly, the recycled polycarbonate and PET materials are sourced from discarded water barrels and PET bottles that were ground, filtered and melted down with other additives. This process helps us transform these fragile resources into high-performance optimized materials that uphold Samsung’s state-of-the-art design and high-quality standards.
We also teamed up with other organizations to upcycle discarded Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that was generated from shoe manufacturing. This is a culmination of our continued efforts with our partners to transform fragile plastic wastes into high
performance material used in Galaxy devices.
With the Galaxy S24 series, our goal by end of 2024 is to help recover nearly 100 metric tons of recycled plastics, which is equivalent to 10 million empty plastic bottles.

Powering the Foton eAumark is a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that develops 115kW and over 900Nm of torque. Featuring an 81.14kWh iron-phosphate battery from renowned EV battery supplier CATL, the eAumark has a WLTP-rated range of up to 200km.
The pure electric powertrain is engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions such as the tropical climate of Malaysia, with the battery being certified for IP67 water and dust resistance in addition to high-temperature resistance as verified by its 600°C ignition point. It also supplies 10kW of power to an ePTO port to which external equipment or special structures can be attached.
Every eAumark sold comes with a complimentary 22kW AC Wallbox Charger, allowing for the truck to be kept fully charged when off duty. In addition to the AC Charger, owners can leverage on DC charging facilities that are made available in the rapidly growing charging network in Malaysia. The eAumark can recharge from 20% SoC to 100% in just one hour, using the DC charger.
The Foton Aumark S Euro 4 is offered in four- and six-wheel configurations. The Aumark S
BJ1065 Euro 4 4-wheeler features can be configured with a wheelbase of 2,800mm or 3,360mm and continues to be powered by the proven Cummins ISF 2.8-litre engine coupled with a five-speed manual transmission by ZF.
Meanwhile, the Aumark S BJ 1088 Euro 4 6-wheeler features a larger 3.8-litre engine and a six-speed ZF gearbox. Both powertrains have been updated to meet Euro 4 and B20 biodiesel compatibility for improved operational efficiency.
Alongside the all-new Foton eAumark, the Aumark S Euro 4 upholds the promise of reliable
performance synonymous with the Aumark nameplate. A product of the “Super Truck Global Innovation Alliance”, the Foton Aumark was developed through 1.6 million kilometres of real-world tests across varying surface, weather and altitude conditions.
The pure-electric Foton eAumark BJ1045EVJAR3 retails for a introductory price of RM238,000. Every eAumark truck is backed by a factory warranty covering the cabin and chassis for up to three years or 100,000km, whichever comes first. Additionally, the drive motor, 81.14kWh battery and controller are covered by a five-year warranty, capped at 200,000km.

Each time we do that, we risk allowing too much access. It’s an invasion of privacy, waiting to happen. With Pin App and Maintenance Mode, you don’t have to worry about anyone snooping around.
You get to decide what people can and can’t see, no matter who’s got their hands on your device. It’s like having a personal bouncer for your phone.
Pin App:
There’s a feeling you get when you hand over your phone to show somebody some pictures. It could be your holiday snaps, or just something funny you saved. But then they accidentally open another app and now they see a photo or message, or anything else you didn’t intend to show them.
It’s a horrifying moment, but Pin App can stop that from happening again. Think of Pin App like a personal bouncer for your apps, stopping people from getting into where they’re
not welcome.
Instead, it keeps them exactly where they’re supposed to be — in the app you’ve pinned — and nowhere else. Pin App also acts as a Do Not Disturb sign, preventing awkward pop-up notifications that risk showing sensitive information when all you wanted to do was to share a funny social media post.
Setting up Pin App is quick and easy. Simply go to your Settings, then into Security and Privacy. Next, scroll down and find More Security Settings, and you can toggle the switch for Pin App on or tap on the text to view more settings.
For extra security, you can choose ‘Ask for PIN before unpinning’, so whoever has your phone will need a password to get out of the pinned application.
Then, open the app you want to pin. Tap the Recents button (or swipe up and hold if you’re using swipe gestures) then tap the icon above the app. Select the ‘Pin this app’ option, and that’s it.
Maintenance Mode:
Many of us at some point during the lifecycle of our device, will find ourselves submitting our phone to a third-party repair service for that cracked screen or that damaged charging port.
More often than not, we need to send our device away for a period of time to have the repair done which brings its own risks including the ability of third parties to access private information on our devices.
Even the most careful among us can’t avoid accidents. When you send your phone away to get that cracked screen or damaged charging port fixed, you’ve got no idea who can access your data.
This is where Samsung’s Maintenance Mode can be used. It is specifically designed to protect and hide your personal data from being accessed when your device leaves your hands and is sent away for any type of repair.
When you activate Maintenance Mode, you can set up a distinct user profile, ensuring your primary account and data remain private. This mode can be activated either through the device’s Settings, where you tap Device Care before navigating to and tapping Maintenance Mode; or can be activated through the Samsung Members app.
Once Maintenance Mode has been turned on, you can conceal all your personal data including photos, videos, contacts and messages and prevent any unauthorized access. It also ensures that no data is erased by accident from your device, for instance, by a repair service center.
If you do need to send your device away for those repair activities, you can also ensure that those accessing it will only have access to basic device features that enable them to perform the necessary service diagnosis.
Secure Folder:
Samsung Knox provides layers of security and privacy, not only to protect users but also to give them choice in what they want to secure. For those who want to keep their most personal information separate and safe, there’s Secure Folder.
It’s a container that locks away your data so it cannot be accessed through your phone’s regular storage. It can hold your most private data such as calendar schedules and contact information, as well as notes, photos, videos, files and even apps. You can even encrypt the Secure Folder to keep your apps and data even more locked down until the next time you open the folder.
You can find Secure Folder in your apps. The first time you open it, you’ll have to set your lock type to either a PIN, pattern or password. In addition to these, you can also add fingerprint access — and then you’re good to go.
Anything you create within the Secure Folder will be automatically stored here, but you can also move data here any time.
For example, if you want to keep a copy of your driver’s license, you can take a photo of it using the Camera app within Secure Folder, or you can pick a photo in your Gallery, tap the options menu (the three dots) and then select ‘Move to Secure Folder.’
There are a lot of things you can’t control, but when it comes to your privacy, Samsung wants to give you as much control as possible. With Pin App, Maintenance Mode and Secure Folder, you’ve got that extra reassurance against prying eyes.
