AirAsia meraikan penerbangan sulung dari Kota Kinabalu ke Macao, menjadikanya satu-satunya syarikat penerbangan yang menghubungkan ibu negeri Sabah ke  “Pusat Pelancongan dan Riadah Dunia.”

UNTUK meraikan majlis itu, sebuah acara sambutan telah diadakan di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Macao yang dihadiri oleh Pengarah Pelancongan Malaysia Hong Kong, Tan Mei Leng; Pemangku Pengarah Pejabat Pelancongan Kerajaan Macao, Hoi Io Meng; Cristina Gomes da Silva, Pengarah Pengangkutan Udara dan Perhubungan Antarabangsa Pihak Berkuasa Penerbangan Awam Macau SAR; Pengurus Pemasaran Kanan Lembaga Pelancongan Sabah, Tay Shu Lan.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif AirAsia Malaysia, Riad Asmat berkata, “Dengan laluan baharu ini, kami kini terbang ke empat bandar di Pearl River Delta dari hab Kota Kinabalu kami.

Bandar-bandar ini juga kini dihubungkan dengan lebih baik menerusi jambatan Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao yang baru dibuka, jadi para tetamu kami mempunyai pilihan untuk terbang dari Kota Kinabalu ke Macao dan kembali dari Hong Kong, Shenzhen atau Guangzhou untuk pengalaman meneroka rantau ini sepenuhnya.”

“Kota Kinabalu adalah hab kedua terbesar kami di Malaysia selepas Kuala Lumpur dan kami akan terus mengembangkan rangkaian kami dari bandar ini.

Kami telah melancarkan tiga laluan antarabangsa dari Kota Kinabalu pada tahun ini ke Bangkok, Kunming dan kini ke Macao. Ini akan membantu membawa lebih ramai pelawat ke negeri ini dan juga membantu mewujudkan lebih banyak peluang perniagaan dan meningkatkan pendapatan pelancongan.”

Selain Macao, AirAsia juga beroperasi secara terus dari Kota Kinabalu ke 10 destinasi lain – Bangkok, Singapura, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan dan Kunming (bermula 30 November 2018) – dan 8 destinasi domestik iaitu Kuala Lumpur, Tawau, Sandakan, Kuching, Miri, Pulau Pinang, Kota Bharu dan Johor Bahru.

Para tetamu dari Tawau, Sabah dan Kuching, Sarawak juga boleh terbang ke Macao secara lancar  menerusi perkhidmatan Fly-Thru AirAsia dan transit di Kota Kinabalu.

RedBox, syarikat perkhidmatan logistik AirAsia telah dipilih sebagai rakan logistik Shopee untuk Malaysia Timur bermula 1 Disember 2018.

DALAM perjanjian itu, RedBox akan menyediakan perkhidmatan logistik merentas sempadan ke Malaysia Timur bagi platform digital terkemuka di Asean dan Taiwan itu, bermula dengan perkhidmatan penghantaran secara langsung dari Shenzhen ke Kota Kinabalu dan Kuching.

THE three winners were announced during the contest’s grand finale, Mirror Mirror Me night, where Noor Liyana Asha Mohd Noor, Laven Lim Jia Hui and Noor Ashyla Mohd Jalil won the chance to be a part of South Korea’s number one reality TV show ‘Get it Beauty’, as well as personally meet South Korean celebrity Jung Hae-in.

Noor Liyana Asha Mohd Noor, 25, an event planner from Perlis was surprised with her winning as it was totally out of her expectation.

“The picture I uploaded onto Instagram for this contest was actually a picture I happened to snap at another event. I never expected to be a winner, and yet I’ve been given this crazy opportunity.

“I’m so excited to go to Korea and learn what I can, as I too am a makeup enthusiast,” she said.

Hyundai Tucson Facelift Tampil Lebih Sporty

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors memperkenalkan model Tucson yang dipertingkatkan (facelift) yang ditawarkan dalam dua varian iaitu 2.0L Elegance dan 1.6L Turbo.

HYUNDAI Tucson ditawarkan pada harga bermula RM123,888 bagi model 2.0L, dan varian pengecas turbo pula berharga RM143,888. Kedua-duanya harga atas jalan tidak termasuk insurans.

Pembaharuan yang dibawa untuk SUV segmen-C ini ialah rekaan bahagian hadapannya dan bampar baharu, 2.0L Elegance kini menampilkan gril perak metalik manakala lampu utama projektor halogen.

Bagi varian 1.6L Turbo pula, dipadankan dengan gril krom bersama lampu utama LED dwi-projektor (dengan lampu selekoh dan posisi), pemegang pintu krom dengan pencahayaan poket LED dan lampu belakang LED.

KL International Airport (KUL) continues to position Malaysia as a preferred global hub by welcoming Condor Airlines’ inaugural flight witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar; Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik; Deputy Head Of Mission And Charge D’ Affairs Of German Embassy In Kuala Lumpur, Dr David Krivanek; and Chief Strategy Officer of Malaysia Airports, Azli Mohamed.

Condor Airlines, operating via its B767-300 aircraft flew from Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), Germany to KUL for the first time carrying the ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Sarah Nava Rani Al Bakri Devadason; and the Group Airlines Director of Customer Operations, Managing Director & Accountable Manager of Condor Airlines, Christian Schmitt. Upon touch down, passengers were greeted with a special Malaysian cultural performance, courtesy of Tourism Malaysia.

Azli congratulated the new airline partner and said, “Condor Airlines is the 58th passenger airline to arrive in KLIA Main Terminal.

“I am also happy to share with you that KLIA has seen a tremendous growth with a 3.2% passenger growth as at September 2018 and is the 12th busiest airport in the world in terms of international passenger movements.

“Condor Airlines is German’s second largest commercial airline and I am sure that it has had many pioneer moments in their history. Malaysia has often been Germany’s primary trading partner among ASEAN countries. With this new 3 times a week direct flight service, we strongly believe that this will enable for both countries to further strengthen both the tourism and economy sectors”.

Muhammad Bakhtiar said, that the ministry is also happy that Condor Airlines has spread its wings into Malaysia. He said, “With this new development, we can enhance our promotion of Malaysia in Germany and encourage the tour operators there to create Malaysian holiday packages for this market.”

He added, “To support this inaugural flight, we worked with the Sarawak Tourism Board to bring 7 media representatives from Germany on a familiarization trip to Malaysia.

“They will be exploring Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Sarawak. Giving them this first-hand experience of Malaysia will enable them to get to know the country better and help to create more awareness of our unique offerings through media publicity.”

Speaking on the new flight route, Christian said that Condor Airlines is excited to be the only airline offering a direct flight connection between Malaysia and Germany.

“Our flights from Kuala Lumpur to Frankfurt provide Malaysian and Southeast Asian travelers with varied opportunities to discover Europe and Frankfurt as one of the most important economic centers in Europe.

 

Likewise, European travelers have the chance to discover beautiful Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. By connecting two cities that are of the same importance for their respective regions, we can promote economic and cultural exchange – something we as an airline always particularly encourage,” he said further.

Condor Airlines will be operating the KUL-FRA route three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday whereas the FRA-KUL route will be serviced three times a week as well on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Merchantrade Ties Up With Revenue Group, Rolls Out Service For Taobao Shoppers

Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd (Merchantrade), the largest digital and hard currency exchange provider in the country is set to take online shopping to the next level by collaborating with Revenue Group Berhad (REVENUE), one of Malaysia’s rising stars in payment solutions.

REVENUE, which provides a host of payment solutions, is renowned for its revPAY platform which facilitates purchases for Taobao customers in Malaysia.

The two companies, pioneers in their own right, have now inked an agreement which will allow shoppers to shop on Taobao and make payments using their Merchantrade Money on the revPAY platform.

With the additional payment options made available to consumers via the e-wallet application of Merchantrade Money, consumers will have the flexibility to make payment according to their preference and choice.

As part of this tie-up, Merchantrade Money holders can enjoy an instant refund on their purchases if the items they have ordered from Taobao, one of the world’s largest online marketplaces, is out of stock.

This refund will be credited back to their Merchantrade Money account once Taobao initiates the refund process.

Usually, the typical waiting period for refunds from online bank transactions varies from 7 to 14 days.

Merchantrade Asia’s Chief Payments Officer, Vince Au Yoong said, the company viewed the tie-up with the two tech companies as one of its most important collaborations this year.

To celebrate this partnership, on 11.11 Single’s Day, Merchantrade Money cardholders will also enjoy 20% cash rebates of up to maximum RM100 on their total purchases.

The Single’s Day Sale which falls on November 11, the single biggest day for online shopping around the world, like America’s Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales, but bigger.

The 24-hour event begins on the midnight of November 11th 12:01am till November 12th 12:00am and sees Chinese online shopping sites like the Alibaba-owned Taobao slashing prices and offering huge discounts on all sorts of goods.

Field Fix Campaign For Mitsubishi Cars

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, will be conducting Field Fix Campaign for Mitsubishi cars. Overall affected cars are about 23,133 units.

FOR all Field Fix Campaigns, MMM will issue notification letters to all affected Mitsubishi owners and the full cost of the replacement and rectification will be borne by the company.

Replacement of sunroof glass

Deterioration of the resin material may result in decrease of adhesive strength

Depending on the temperature and weather humidity, the adhesive strength of the outer frame of the sunroof glass may become weak because of the resin material.

If the vehicle is still used under this condition, there is a possibility that the sunroof glass will detach from the outer frame.

Replacement of passenger airbag with countermeasure inflator

Deterioration of propellant may cause excessive internal pressure

If the vehicle has been exposed to high levels of humidity for an extended period of time, the propellant; PSAN (phased- stabilized ammonium nitrate) may deteriorate and cause excessive internal pressure.

The inflator body of passenger side airbag may rupture, during a normal air bag deployment event.
