Model hatchback terbaharu dengan unit stereo pintar serta rekaan luar yang segar
PROTON Iriz 2019 diperlihatkan secara rasmi dengan reka bentuk luaran yang diberi nafas baharu serta dilengkapi unit stereo pintar sama yang diperkenalkan pada Proton X70.
Model hatchback segmen-B PROTON ini merupakan model pertama dalam rangkaian semasa syarikat yang mendapat sentuhan terkini selepas pengumuman kerjasama bersama Geely.
Pelancaran rasmi model Iriz ini dijangka pada Mac 2019 dan rekaan pintar yang mengujakan adalah hasil usaha oleh sebuah pasukan yang diketuai oleh ketua Reka Bentuk PROTON, Azlan Othman, yang memanfaatkan kepakaran pusat reka bentuk antara syarikat kumpulan Geely untuk menghasilkan wajah baharu yang canggih dan menarik.
Azlan menjelaskan bahawa model ini direka untuk menggambarkan kecerdasan dengan rupa yang sporty, sesuai dengan slogan model itu iaitu Kepintaran yang Mengujakan.
Pada rekaan hadapan kereta ini, terdapat lampu depan halus yang dipadankan dengan gril baharu yang menonjol. Bentuk bar krom diilhamkan melalui reka bentuk “Ethereal Bow” sementara gril radiator pula mempunyai corak “Infinite Weave”, yang turut dihiasi logo Proton.
Terdapat juga bampar depan baharu yang menyerlah dilengkapi dengan gril radiator bawah yang lebih terkini serta lampu siang (DRL) yang menambahkan lagi sentuhan mewah pada reka bentuk model ini secara keseluruhan.
Pada reka bentuk bahagian belakang pula, perkataan PROTON kini tampak lebih jelas yang diletakkan pada bahagian tailgate yang sebelum ini diletakkan dengan logo. Secara visualnya, ia kelihatan lebih lebar, kesan yang lebih ketara pada bampar belakang dengan garisan menegak beserta garisan bampar baharu.
Sentuhan akhir termasuklah pada nama Iriz yang ditaip menggunakan huruf baharu unik, antena sirip yu dan rim aloi dengan reka bentuk bilah yang baharu.
Unit Stereo pintar yang menyambungkan anda kepada dunia luar Iriz 2019 merupakan hatchback segmen-B pertama di Malaysia yang menampilkan unit stereo pintar yang menggunakan kad eSIM dan menawarkan aplikasi seperti pengaliran muzik, sistem navigasi dan pengecaman suara.
Akses kepada aplikasi ini serta fungsi-fungsi lain adalah melalui skrin sentuh antara muka bersaiz 7-inci dengan paparan warna penuh dan memori dalaman sebanyak 16GB.
Dengan menggunakan sistem sama yang ada pada Proton X70, Iriz ini turut dilengkapi dengan sambungan Wi-Fi agar ia boleh digunakan sebagai hotspot mudah alih atau menyambungkan Wi-Fi dalam jarak jangkauannya.
Turut ditawarkan adalah kebolehan pencerminan bagi telefon mudah alih Android. “Selepas perasmian Proton X70, Proton Iriz 2019 akan menjadi model Proton kedua yang dilengkapi dengan unit stereo pintar yang menawarkan fungsi seperti arahan suara, navigasi dan pengaliran muzik.
Ia juga menggunakan kata laluan yang sama iaitu Hi Proton! untuk mengakses sistem. Justeru itu anda boleh mengatakan bahawa oleh kerana Proton X70, Proton Iriz ini diinspirasikan untuk menjadi model yang pintar,” kata Dr Li Chunrong, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, PROTON.
PROTON juga akan mengadakan ‘jualan kilat’ bagi model Iriz 2019 di mana pembeli yang berminat boleh membuat tempahan dalam talian dengan hanya RM9.99. Dengan berbuat demikian, PROTON turut akan memberi ganjaran dengan cukai jalan percuma selama dua tahun sebagai tanda penghargaan apabila mereka menempah Iriz ini sebelum ianya dilancarkan.

DESTINASI pilihan mereka ialah Colmar Tropicale French Village, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong Pahang yang terletak kira-kira sejam perjalanan dari Puchong. Program ini diadakan bertujuan memberi pendedahan kepada pelanggan mereka mengenai selok belok mengendalikan kereta BMW menerusi tunjuk ajar oleh jurulatih yang berpengalaman.

Peserta konvoi tiba sekitar jam 12:30 tengahari di kawasan parkir Bukit Tinggi yang berlatarkan bangunan perkampungan zaman pertengahan di Eropah.
Pelanggan turut menjamu selera makan tengahari di sebuah restoran sambil menikmati pemandangan indah bangunan yang diilhamkan daripada sebuah kota Perancis.

Pemilik Proton X70 menganjurkan perjalanan pemanduan ke China dan ekspedisi akan membawa para peserta melalui ke lokasi-lokasi menarik
PROTON telah menyerahkan lebih daripada 5,500 unit Proton X70 sejak model itu dilancarkan dan disebabkan itu, ramai pemilik model tersebut begitu teruja untuk melihat sendiri kelebihan yang ada pada kereta mereka.

Seramai sembilan pemilik Proton X70 telah berkumpul bagi menganjurkan perjalanan pemanduan ke empat negara berbeza, merangkumi 13 bandar dan sejauh 13,000km.
Destinasi mereka adalah Hangzhou, China, bandar yang paling ramai penduduk Wilayah Zhejiang dan merupakan pusat bandar utama rakan kongsi PROTON, iaitu Geely.
Diketuai oleh Pasukan Borneo Automobile Leisure Touring dan Kunming Scenery-Customer International Travel Co. China, aktiviti pemanduan perjalanan ini turut mendapat sokongan dari PROTON.
Syarikat telah menetapkan hentian di sepanjang laluan mereka di lokasi-lokasi cawangan pengedar dan pusat servis PROTON untuk mengalu-alukan para peserta sebagai satu inisiatif PROTON yang mengutamakan pelanggannya.
Dimulakan dengan sesi pelepasan di Pusat Kecemerlangan PROTON di Shah Alam, keseluruhan perjalanan yang disertai seramai 33 peserta ini akan mengambil masa kira-kira 33 hari untuk sampai ke destinasi.
Titik separuh perjalanan ini adalah di Hangzhou, di mana peserta akan berpeluang untuk melawat ke Pusat Pengalaman Geely dan mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai bagaimana Geely berubah menjadi salah satu syarikat automotif yang paling berkembang maju serta turut berpeluang untuk melihat model-model terbaharu Geely.
Bagi PROTON, perjalanan ini dilihat sebagai satu peluang untuk mempamerkan Proton X70 kepada pembeli di pasaran luar negara, terutamanya di negara-negara ASEAN, yang merupakan kunci utama bagi percambahan jualan pada masa hadapan.

Demonstrating Real-World 5G Scenarios Unlocked by Samsung Commercial Solutions
Leveraging its commercially-proven 5G leadership, Samsung will present multiple live demonstrations to show real-world 5G experiences:
5G NR live demonstration with Samsung network and smartphone using 3.5GHz and 28GHz bands: A mobile edge cloud game on the company’s first 5G smartphone will be demonstrated live, by being connected to Samsung’s live 5G network solutions. In addition, 5G Multi-user MIMO will be demonstrated.
First live 5G broadcast at MWC19: The first live broadcasting of GSMA ‘Mobile World Live TV’ using Samsung’s 5G network solutions at Broadcast Village, Gran Via. It will broadcast live throughout the venue and to 280 hotels in Barcelona during the show.
Live demonstration of 5G-powered technology for the industry: Samsung, Cisco and Orange Spain will demonstrate diverse 5G-powered use cases to show how low latency and high speed of 5G technology can be applied for the industry at Orange booth (Hall3 3K10).
Samsung & Zhilabs’ automated 5G network solutions: Samsung will demonstrate live AI-based 5G network management solutions with Zhilabs, acquired by Samsung through acquisition in October 2018. It helps operators to optimize 5G network performance automatically.
Next Generation 5G Chipsets
In addition, Samsung will show its new next generation 5G Radio Frequency (RF) chipsets, supporting 28GHz and 39GHz. Using these new RF chipsets, Samsung 5G base stations will be approximately 25 percent smaller, lighter and less power consuming compared to previous iterations.
5G base stations use almost one thousand antennas and several radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC) to utilize mmWave spectrum. With this next-generation chipset, Samsung helps improve network equipment performance through decreased noise levels, and improvement in the linearity characteristics of the RF power amplifier.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, together with authorized dealer Evatrend celebrated the latter’s second Mitsubishi 3S Centre (Sales, Service & Spare parts) opening in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
THIS 3S Centre is located at No. 70, Jalan Midah 1, Taman Midah, 56000 Cheras, Kuala Lumpur with a total investment of RM800,000.
With a built up area of 4,908 square feet, the new 3S Centre also houses a fully-equipped workshop with parts storage area for Mitsubishi vehicles. The 3S centre comes with a modern façade, with fully equipped advance diagnostic tools and Special Set Tools (SST) to serve every Mitsubishi vehicle.

Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) announced consolidated revenues of RM581.2 million for the third quarter of this financial year, a decrease of 6.4% compared to its revenue of RM620.7 million recorded in the corresponding period last year.
THIS decrease was mainly due to the decline in revenue from Postal Services due to double digit decline in mail volume, and Logistic business due to the end of a major project.
The Group also registered a loss before tax of RM18.7 million compared to a profit before tax of RM21.9 million for the corresponding period in the previous financial year.
“Operating conditions remain challenging for the Pos Malaysia Group as a whole. The traditional mail business which is part of our universal postal services obligation for the government continues to be saddled with high operating costs and increased migration onto electronic and digital media by commercial customers.
We continue to work with the government and our regulator to agree on a pricing mechanism to partly offset our universal obligation cost.” said Pos Malaysia Berhad’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor in relation to Pos Malaysia Berhad’s Q3FY2019 financial results.
He added, “We have embarked on a multi-pronged retail transformation program to revamp the postal network in order to build a sustainable universal service business model that will balance the needs of the Rakyat with our obligations to stakeholders and shareholders alike.
The transformation will involve right-sizing our postal infrastructure, introduction of digital technology for self-service applications and the expansion of our parcel processing capacity.
We are also investing in automation and digital platforms to increase operational efficiency and offer customers a higher level of convenience with a more satisfying customer experience.”

Akademi Latihan Volkswagen di Glenmarie baru-baru ini menganjurkan program Kejohanan Dunia Kelayakan Jualan Runcit (RQWC) bagi peringkat akhir kebangsaan
2018/2019.
VOLKSWAGEN RQWC merupakan satu bentuk penilaian global yang merangkumi ujian secara dalam talian, teori, praktikal dan peperiksaan yang terbuka kepada semua kakitangan pengedar – terutama perunding servis, ketua juruteknik dan perunding alat ganti servis.
Gearbox Diagnostics
Penilaian itu direka dan diubah suai dengan misi untuk mengukuhkan rangkaian pengedar, menambah baik kualiti dan aspek kepuasan pelanggan.
Selain memberi gambaran mengenai standard dan amalan di peringkat global. Bermula sejak tahun lalu, seramai 311 peserta dari rangkaian Volkswagen di Malaysia telah mengambil bahagian dalam ujian secara dalam talian itu dan 27 orang yang terbaik dipilih untuk peringkat akhir kebangsaan.
Undercarriage Inspection
Seramai 27 orang finalis itu terdiri daripada 10 orang perunding servis, 10 perunding alat ganti dan 7 orang ketua juruteknik.
Juara peringkat akhir kebangsaan RQWC ialah Lu Weng Jen dari MHV Autohaus (Volkswagen Gombak) dalam Kategori Perunding Servis; John Leow Zhi Kuan MHV Autohaus (Volkswagen Gombak) dalam Kategori alat ganti servis dan Yeoh Chun Ping dari Goh Brother Motors (Volkswagen Juru) untuk Kategori Ketua Juruteknik.
Peringkat Akhir Kebangsaan 2018/2019 yang berlangsung mulai 19 hingga 21 Februari di Akademi Latihan Volkswagen itu dibahagikan kepada beberapa modul berdasarkan kepada kategori tertentu selama tiga hari berturut-turut.
Perunding servis diuji dari segi kemahiran insaniah, ucapan aluan dan sistem selepas jualan. Sementara perunding alat ganti diuji menerusi senario lakon peranan, sistem selepas jualan dan satu peperiksaan bertulis.
Vehicle Diagnostics
Ketua juruteknik pula diuji dari aspek ucapan aluan, kecekapan diagnostik, kecekapan profesional teknikal dan methodologi sistematik.
Pengarah Urusan VPCM, Erik Winter berkata, penyertaan dalam penilaian di peringkat global ini merupakan satu cara dalam memastikan kecemerlangan yang berterusan dari segi standard tempatan.
