KPJ Healthcare Reports Highest Performance Ever

Commendable revenue & profit growth amidst challenging industry

KPJ Healthcare once again recorded growth in its performance for the year ended 31 December 2019.

Its 4Q2019 results recorded an improvement in revenue to RM944.0 million compared
to RM876.5 million in 4Q2018, an increase of 7.7%. PAT for 4Q2019 reached RM90.8
million in comparison to RM55.0 million in 4Q2018, an increase of 65.0%.

EBITDA for 4Q2019 registered at RM180.7 million, higher by 26.0% compared to RM143.4 million in 4Q2018.

For 2019, revenue increased by 7.1% to RM3.6 billion, compared to RM3.4 billion in 2018. Profit After Tax (PAT) had also increased by 21.8%, to RM226.7 million, versus RM186.2 million in 2018. In line with the revenue growth, the year’s EBITDA rose to RM640.6 million, up by 28.9% compared to the previous year’s RM497.0 million.

KPJ’s President & Managing Director, Dato’ Amiruddin Abdul Satar, said “Year-on-year organic growth acceleration was supported by strong momentum of our Malaysian hospital operations – resulting in the stellar financial performance.

KPJ Perdana in Kota Bahru, Kelantan and KPJ Pasir Gudang in Johor both achieved more than RM100 million revenue for the first time. KPJ was also able to meet its goal of opening three new hospitals in 2019, namely KPJ Bandar Dato’ Onn, KPJ Batu Pahat and KPJ Miri”.

In 2020, KPJ will also strategically relocate several hospitals from their original premises upon reaching maximum capacity to new hospital buildings with larger capacity, namely
KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital, and KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital.

Apart from the Group’s strong Malaysian operations, the Indonesian Rumah Sakit Media Bumi Serpong Damai in Jakarta was able to expand its business, primarily through aggressive marketing offering innovative packages, as well as the addition of more inpatient beds.

The Group will also be exploring possible expansion of new markets like Vietnam, China and the Middle East, as part of the Group’s big push on medical tourism into Malaysia.

With the added capacity of our network hospitals arising from recent greenfield and brownfield development, KPJ is bullish about its prospect of expanding its foreign patient segment.

The 10th Generation Accord Comes With Honda Sensing

The 10th Generation Accord is equipped with an enhanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine that is more powerful than a 2.4L engine performance

Honda Malaysia surprised the market with the launch of its flagship executive sedan, the All-New 10th Generation Accord. The All-New Accord raises the benchmark in the D segment with its elegance, excellent performance, and premium features.

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Toichi Ishiyama said, “The
Accord has 44 years of history since its debut in 1976 with nine full model changes.

The Accord has always been very well accepted by Malaysians, with encouraging sales recorded for the previous generations. To-date, there are more than 84,100 units of Accord on Malaysian roads.

Each generation of the Accord continues to shine by setting higher benchmark in styling, technology and advanced features in an executive sedan.”

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, begun the year 2020 strong with records of an all-time high market share for the past 10 years, with 22.8% for the month of January 2020.

The Mitsubishi Triton was the only brand in the pick-up segment that successfully achieved positive growth and expanded its overall sales with 1.6% increase from April 2019 to January 2020, comparing to the same period last financial year.

Celcom Jalin Kerjasama Dengan MDEC Pacu Pendigitalan PKS

Celcom Axiata Berhad (Celcom) dan Perbadanan Ekonomi Digital Malaysia (MDEC) akan menjalin inisiatif bersama dengan matlamat dan meluaskan memacu pendigitalan perusahaan kecil dan sederhana (PKS) dan meluaskan ekosistem digital yang dapat
menyokong visi Malaysia untuk menjadi sebuah negara digital.

Ini termasuk memanfaatkan teras Revolusi Industri 4.0 (IR4.0) dan pembangunan teknologi 5G.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Celcom, Idham Nawawi dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MDEC, Surina Shukri, telah menandatangani Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) bagi inisiatif tersebut dalam sebuah majlis diadakan di Ibu Pejabat Celcom, @celcom di Petaling Jaya.

Many other memorable unveilings followed,  not least that of the 1954 Ferrari 375 MM, a one-off commissioned from Pinin Farina by Roberto Rossellini as a gift for his wife Ingrid Bergman.

With their heady mix of avant-garde and tradition which continue to flourish in motorsport temples of the likes of Goodwood , the United Kingdom has always rewarded Ferrari’s cars with starring roles.

In the exhibition we find, for example, the Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, a coupé powered by a front-mounted V12 and immortalised in front of Westminster in 1964, when Colonel Ronny Hoare’s Maranello Concessionaires presented it to its clients.

The United States has an enduring relationship with Ferrari too, strengthened through friendships with musical artists such as  Miles Davis and Hollywood stars such as Jane Mansfield.

A major contribution also came from high profile events, including the 2016 30 Million Cars Rally which included the 1959 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, also featured in the exhibition.

Venerated by many collectors as the ultimate GT, the car is famous for its exceptionally pure lines and incredible tally of race victories.

Shanghai is an extraordinary city that acts as a melting pot for the Far East’s ancient aesthetic matched with that of the West.

This is highlighted to stunning effect in the exhibition through the image of a 2006 599 GTB Fiorano with bodywork decorated by the artist Lu Hao in the style of Song Dynasty porcelain.

Alongside this artistic masterpiece is the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti which, in 2005, just a year after its launch, proved its matchless comfort and performance on a 15,000-mile tour of China.

Also featured is a photograph of the 2018 Ferrari Portofino in the Shibuya quarter in Tokyo, another vibrant touchstone for the Ferrarista community in the Far East.

Abu Dhabi is one of the undisputed Middle Eastern capitals of luxury and passion for the Prancing Horse as epitomised by Ferrari World, the marque’s dedicated theme park.

In fact, the all-wheel-drive Ferrari FF, which hailed a revolution in both styling and performance was unveiled in the park in 2011, shortly after its successful debut at the Geneva International Motor Show.

The arch also references the International Cavalcade that last year celebrated the 25th anniversary of Ferrari’s arrival in the United Arab Emirates with a parade of over 100 cars.

Last but very far from least, the Grand Tour arrives in Italy with the Ferrari Roma, the latest masterpiece from the Maranello Style Centre which developed this glorious contemporary take on the sophisticated chic of the Dolce Vita of the 1950s and 60s.

A lifestyle and aesthetic choice that is not confined to Italy but which, as the exhibition reveals, Ferrari interprets all over the world.

Khasiat madu lebah kelulut sememangnya bukan rahsia lagi dan umum sudah mengetahui mengenai rahsia alam semulajadi ciptaan tuhan ini.

Pengambilan madu lebah kelulut juga dapat membantu seseorang kekal bertenaga sepanjang hari selain meningkatkan metabolisme tubuh.

Syarikat Khazalam Enterprise yang terletak di Kampung Guar Manong dekat Kuala Kangsar, Perak misalnya antara yang menghasilkan sabun mandi daripada madu lebah kelulut.

Perniagaan ini diusahakan pasangan Zulkepli Mohamad dan Hapidzah Mohd Naain sejak setahun lalu yang turut mengusahakan ternakan madu kelulut.

Menurut Hapidzah, setiap jenis sabun yang dihasilkan itu mengandungi ramuan-ramuan tertentu di samping bahan asasnya iaitu madu lebah kelulut, roti kelulut (bee bread), propolis dan minyak zaitun.

Katanya, propolis yang dihasilkan oleh lebah kelulut misalnya mempunyai khasiat yang tersendiri yang biasanya digunakan sebagi bahan aktif dalam kosmetik.

“Ketika ini kita menghasilkan lima jenis sabun madu kelulut iaitu sabun madu kelulut kayu manis, daun gelenggang, daun sireh, badam rose dan resdung.

“Misalnya sabun madu kelulut kayu manis dicampur kayu manis dan bahan pewangi. Begitu juga badam ros dengan ditambah minyak badam dan campuran badam,” katanya.

Bekas graduan dalam bidang komunikasi ini berkata, bagi menghasilkan sabun mandi gelenggang pula ia mengandungi campuran arang dan daun gelenggang yang diproses sendiri.

“Bagi sabun sireh pula kita menggunakan daun-daun sireh asli manakala sabun resdung pula merupakan campuran beberapa jenis herba antaranya pudina dan rosemary.

“Semua produk yang kita hasilkan ini menggunakan bahan-bahan semulajadi dan bahan-bahan organik tanpa ada bahan kimia merbahaya,” katanya yang turut mengendalikan kelas bimbingan bagi mereka yang berminat mengusahakan ternakan kelulut.

Beliau berkata, sebagai produk bebas bahan kimia maka sabun kelulut itu sesuai digunakan oleh semua peringkat usia sama ada untuk penjagaan kulit atau tubuh badan.

“Sabun madu kelulut kayu manis dijual pada harga RM9 sebuku, gelenggang dan sireh (RM10), resdung (RM12) dan badam rose (RM15).
