Synergy ESCO Memimpin Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari Malaysia Untuk 2023

Sejajar dengan Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari (SDGs) Malaysia yang berani untuk tahun 2023, Synergy ESCO Sdn. Bhd. muncul sebagai pemain utama, bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Perumahan Dan Hartanah (LPHS) dan 12 majlis bandaraya di Selangor memperjuangkan prinsip-prinsip Alam Sekitar, Sosial dan Tadbir Urus (ESG) dan inisiatif hijau.

Syarikat tersebut yang berada di barisan hadapan penyelesaian kecekapan tenaga dan kelestarian, sedang mengubah landskap dengan pendekatan-pendekatan inovatif untuk mencapai strategi yang progresif untuk pembangunan negara.

Di bawah program utama program Sumber Cahaya dalam Kegelapan (Light Source in Darkness) , “Program Inisiatif Hijau”, Synergy ESCO sedang memimpin penyelesaian kecekapan tenaga yang kos-efektif dan mematuhi ESG untuk harta strata di Selangor untuk mengurangkan penggunaan tenaga pencahayaan dan jejak karbon dengan menggantikan tiub tradisional dengan lampu LED berpaten Synergy.

Yang menarik, transformasi ini disediakan tanpa kos permulaan untuk semua Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bersama (JMB) dan Jawatankuasa Pengurusan (MC). Lampu LED ini mempunyai jangka hayat yang mengagumkan iaitu 150,000 jam, hanya menggunakan 5 watt kuasa sambil memancarkan 210 lumen/watt kecerahan.

Dengan pelaburan sebanyak RM400 juta, Synergy ESCO Sdn Bhd bertujuan untuk memasang lampu LED di lebih daripada 8,000 bangunan strata di Selangor menjelang tahun 2025. Usaha ini dijangka dapat menjimatkan lebih daripada 3,700,000 tan metrik emisi CO2, setara dengan menanam lebih daripada 100,000,000 pokok dalam tempoh 10 tahun.

Sehingga kini, syarikat ini telah berjaya memasang 119,471 lampu LED di bangunan strata di Selangor, yang berkesan mengurangkan 82,074 tan metrik emisi CO2 dalam tempoh 10 tahun.

Lampu LED ini mempunyai rekod prestasi yang cemerlang dengan kadar kerosakan yang rendah iaitu hanya 0.01%. Sepanjang lapan tahun yang lalu, mereka telah mengekalkan hampir tiada kerosakan, mencerminkan komitmen syarikat terhadap kualiti. Tambahan pula, lampu LED ini mengekalkan kecerahan yang mengagumkan iaitu 85% selama satu dekad, memastikan kecekapan tenaga dan ketahanan.

Kesan program ini telah mendalam, mendapat respons positif daripada JMB dan MC harta strata. Mereka tidak hanya mengalami pengurangan yang ketara dalam bil elektrik dan kos penyelenggaraan tetapi juga menikmati kualiti pencahayaan dan keselamatan yang lebih baik.

Terinspirasi oleh kejayaan ‘Program Inisiatif Hijau’, Synergy ESCO bukan sahaja mengubah landskap pencahayaan tetapi juga memupuk budaya kelestarian dan tanggungjawab. Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) telah merangkul dua anugerah dalam “Asian Water Awards 2023”

Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) merangkul dua anugerah dalam “Asian Water Awards 2023” yang berprestij, anjuran Asian Power, yang berlangsung di Westin Kuala Lumpur pada 8 November 2023.

Asian Power ialah penerbitan suku tahunan yang menjurus kepada industri penjanaan, penghantaran dan pengedaran kuasa di rantau Asia Pasifik, sebahagian daripada syarikat media, Charlton Media Group, syarikat penerbitan dan acara B2B di Asia dengan tajuk seperti Kajian Perniagaan Singapura, Perniagaan Hong Kong, Perbankan & Kewangan Asia, Asia Insurans dan Asia Penjagaan Kesihatan.

Anugerah yang dimenangi, iaitu “Collaborative Water Initiative of the Year – Malaysia” dan “Water Technology Excellence Award (Water Resource Management) – Malaysia”, adalah hasil usaha dan dedikasi PAAB setakat ini untuk memastikan keselamatan air untuk negara.

“Anugerah ini menjadi bukti kepada dedikasi, inovasi dan kepakaran yang tidak putus-putus yang terkandung dalam PAAB.

“Kemenangan anugerah “Asian Water Awards 2023” bukan sekadar sesuatu yang menarik tetapi peringatan bahawa misi kami sebagai satu bentuk pengurusan sumber air yang berkesan dan inovatif,” kata Pemangku Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PAAB, Ir. Zulkiflee Omar.

Anugerah “Collaborative Water Initiative of the Year – Malaysia” telah dicapai berkat model tersendiri PAAB, yang melibatkan penyelarasan harmoni pelbagai pihak berkepentingan, termasuk kerajaan persekutuan dan negeri, pengendali air negeri dan Kementerian Kewangan.

Anugerah ini melambangkan komitmen PAAB untuk menjalin perkongsian kukuh yang memacu industri air ke hadapan.

Sementara itu, pendekatan komprehensif PAAB terhadap pengurusan aset air, migrasi aset dan menangani isu air bukan hasil (NRW) diiktiraf sebagai satu bentuk pengurusan sumber air yang berkesan dan inovatif, memenanginya Anugerah “Water Technology Excellence Award (Water Resource Management) – Malaysia”

Anugerah tersebut mengukuhkan lagi komitmen PAAB terhadap pengurusan yang mampan dan cekap bagi sumber kami yang paling berharga, air.

“Saya ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menekankan kepentingan keselamatan air, yang mesti menjadi keutamaan negara.

“Dengan pelaburan yang betul, kami mempunyai kuasa untuk mengatasi kehilangan air, meremajakan sungai kami, dan juga membina infrastruktur yang akan memastikan perniagaan berkembang maju,” kata Zulkiflee dalam ucapannya.

Beliau merakamkan penghargaan kepada kakitangan PAAB, kerajaan Malaysia dan juga pelbagai pihak berkuasa termasuk MoF, NRECC, SPAN kerana menjadi sebahagian daripada perjalanan PAAB.

ESL One powered by Intel® is heading to Kuala Lumpur in December

With the dust settled after Team Spirit claimed the coveted The International 12 (TI 12) title last weekend, ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) is excited to announce four of the teams
competing in ESL One Kuala Lumpur powered by Intel®, taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 11 -17, 2023.

With a share of the US$1,000,000 total prize pool up for grabs, twelve of the best Dota 2 squads from around the globe will gather in Malaysia commencing December 11.

From then onwards, the teams will face off against each other for one of eight available spots in the Playoffs, which will take place live at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) on December 15 -17.

Samsung’s One UI 6 Comes to Galaxy Users in Malaysia, Starting with Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung’s latest One UI 6 update is now available to Galaxy S23 Series 1 users in Malaysia and will be rolled out to other Galaxy devices progressively.

Based on Android 14, One UI 6 enables a more user-friendly experience, bringing a complete package of enhancements to Samsung apps and features including a more streamlined design and wider options for personalization.

For instance, it is now possible to set different lock screens according to specific Modes and Routines, such as a calming photo of a forest in Sleep Mode.

There is also a new custom camera widget, which lets users preselect a camera mode and a storage location — like portrait mode and a folder just for headshots. Users will also have an enhanced photo and video editing experience with AI Edit, which recommends AI editing features that are optimal for any picture, video or GIF.

The new Samsung Studio allows users to check the time of multiple videos at a glace through multi-layers, and easily adjust the location or section of decorative elements.
Continuous Updates to Privacy & Security One UI 6 also offers robust security and privacy, so users can enjoy mobile connectivity and convenience with total peace of mind.

Users with a wider knowledge of security will appreciate Auto Blocker, which enables basic device usage, while blocking advanced, mostly unused features. Knox Matrix supports
end-to-end encryption for both synced data and cloud backup. A light version of Knox Vault will also be applied to the Galaxy A Series once One UI 6 becomes available on the series.

Samsung’s Neo QLED and QLED TVs Earn ‘Low Vision Care’ Certification From TÜV Rheinland

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced today that models in its 2023 Neo QLED and QLED lineup have earned the “Low Vision Care” certification from TÜV Rheinland.

This certification is awarded to products that adhere to standards designed to assist viewers affected by Amblyopia, a type of visual impairment, by enhancing image presentation and improving vision detection.

“Technological innovation gains true meaning when it is available to everyone, so we’re thrilled to receive this certification that underscores our work to build features to make viewing more accessible,” said Seok Woo Yong, EVP and Deputy Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

“Under Samsung’s mission of ‘Screens Everywhere, Screens for All,’ we will continue to deliver premium screens that cater to the needs of every viewer.”

To improve the viewing experience for consumers with different types of low vision, Samsung developed Relumino Mode, which enhances specific parts of videos — such as highlighting outlines and improving contrast and sharpness — so that it is easier to discern content on the screen and follow the actions.

Amblyopia, also known as lazy eye, occurs in about three percent of children, making it one of the more common low vision problems experienced in childhood. In most cases of amblyopia, a child’s brain ignores the signals coming from one eye, meaning it only develops pathways to the other eye.

TÜV Rheinland, a leading international certification body, awards its “Low Vision Care” certification by evaluating how technology impacts the user experience for those with amblyopia. It conducts various tests that compare how normal display modes and the Relumino Mode differ in clarity, sharpness, and overall visual comfort.

In addition to this latest certification, Samsung screens have also received the “Circadian Rhythm Display” certification and “Eye Care” certification from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), as well as the “Glare-Free” validation from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for its technologies that offer a safer, more comfortable viewing experience.

It also received the “Pantone Validated” and “Skin Tone Validated” certifications from Pantone, signifying that certified Samsung screens meet the organization’s color accuracy
standards.

This growing list of accolades highlights how innovation can positively influence consumer experiences with technology and reinforces Samsung’s global TV leadership over the past 17 years.
