Double Global Win For Environmental Initiative In Bandar Bukit Raja

A collaboration between Sime Darby Property’s Bandar Bukit Raja Township, Klang, Municipal Council and Residents Association

A collaborative environmental initiative between Sime Darby Property’s Bandar Bukit Raja Township, its residents and the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has won double global recognition in London and Dubai recently. MPK was awarded ‘Global Gold Winner’ in the Sustainability category for best environmental practices during the Green World Awards held on 11 December 2017 in Dubai, a month after receiving Gold at the Green Apple Awards in London (Asia Pacific category).

Sime Darby Property’s Bandar Bukit Raja (BBR) Township in Klang, Selangor developed a simple but effective method of upcycling household materials with the assistance of MPK. All of BBR’s marketing promotional banners and buntings are collected diligently and sent to single-parent centres where they are then recycled into attractive shopping bags. For BBR’s Residents Association (RA), their recycled household materials are collected monthly, and the equivalent monetary value is then given to the RAs on a monthly basis. These activities are also captured and monitored by a mobile app which was created by MPK.

We are truly honoured.” The Green World Awards is an extension of the Green Apple Environment Awards, the annual international campaign to recognise, reward and promote environmental
best practice around the world. The Green Apple Environment Awards was launched in 1994 by The Green Organisation and has become well established as one of the most popular environmental campaigns in the world.

Sime Darby Property General Manager, Mohd Idris Abdullah said, “Three simple steps – upcycling, giving back monetary value to the community, and being monitored by a mobile app – led to the win. In addition, we displayed a strong sense of teamwork and togetherness with the local community compared with other submissions. Ultimately, this showcases Sime Darby Property’s commitment to community engagement and environmental responsibility, something which we take very seriously throughout our townships.” Bandar Bukit Raja is one of Sime Darby Property’s showcase townships and an integrated and self-contained township in Klang. Since its launch in 2002, it has become a residential development synonymous with growth in value, spanning 4,405 acres with still over 90% of land area to be developed.

Green Apple Awards London

Several improvements are in the pipeline to make Bandar Bukit Raja a more conducive township which include developing a 125-acre town park, the largest of its kind in North Klang, as well as safety and security features such as its single entry and exit point for each of its housing areas.

In addition, there will be further improvements to the network of connectivity and highways surrounding Bandar Bukit Raja such as the completion of the West Coast Expressway, LRT Line 3 extension to Klang, and the upgrading of Jalan Meru. In August this year, Columbia Asia Hospital – Klang officially opened its doors to the public, located within BBR. A health carnival organised by Sime Darby Property was held to welcome the hospital to the township, where BBR PRIME members were offered a free personalised Privilege Card (a collaboration between Sime Darby Property and Columbia Asia) entitling them to receive discounts on health screening packages as well as room and board until the end of 2018.

Future launches in BBR include Azira, comprising 111 units of 20’ x 75’ double-storey terrace houses with a starting price of RM678,888. Launching in January 2018, Azira homes have built up areas from 1,901 sq ft to 2,275 sq ft and come with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Myvi Serba Baru Dilengkapi Teknologi Terkini, Pandu Uji Generasi Ketiga

APA yang menarik sangat dengan model Myvi baru 2018 yang dilancarkan di pasaran baru-baru ini? Tentu sekali ada beberapa faktor yang menjadi penyebab dan tidak hairanlah sejak mula dibuka untuk tempahan, model ini sudah menerima lebih 20,000 tempahan.
Jika diimbas ketika mula-mula model ini diperkenalkan pada 2005, kehadiran model kompak ini secara automatik mencetuskan evolusi tersendiri dan muncul sebagai model kenderaan paling laris dengan jualan lebih sejuta unit dalam sejarah Perodua (Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd).

Namun selepas beberapa kali model ini menjalani proses penambahbaikan (facelift), akhirnya generasi ketiga (Myvi 2018) muncul dengan beberapa ciri terbaru selari dengan perkembangan teknologi terkini dalam industri automotif.

Myvi baru ini hadir dengan 100 peratus rekaan baru dengan pilihan enjin 1.3 dan 1.5 liter. Lima varian ditawarkan iaitu 1.3 Standard G (MT) dan 1.3 Standard G (AT), 1.3 Premium X (AT), 1.5 High (AT), 1.5 Advance (AT).

Kesempatan Prebiu.com memandu uji model varian 1.5 Advance (AT), Merah Lava baru-baru ini jelas membuktikan kereta kegemaran rakyat Malaysia ini memiliki banyak kelebihan berbanding model terdahulu sesuai dengan taglinenya, Evolusi Ikon. Reka bentuk luarannya tampil lebih tirus dan rendah berbanding lebar pada model terdahulu dengan saiz keseluruhan lebih panjang dan diperendahkan 30mm agar lebih kestabilan. Pada pandangan penulis, ini memberikan kelebihan daripada segi penjimatan bahan api berikutan tahap rintangan angin dapat dikurangkan sekali gus menjadikan model ini meluncur laju di jalan raya.

Sekali imbas rekaan model Myvi baru ini seakan rekabentuk model popular kompak buatan Jepun khususnya cermin kecil pada bahagian belakang namun dipercantikkan lagi dengan lampu belakang LED yang tersusun kemas manakala lampu hadapan LED juga lebih cerah dan jelas dengan fungsi ‘auto-off’ dan ‘follow me home’. Apa yang pasti, rekaan kompak dari luar sebenarnya menawarkan ruang yang luas didalamnya malah prestasi enjinnya juga tidak mengecewakan walaupun dikerah pada kelajuan tinggi dan rendah. Sistem enjin henti/mula atau fungsi ‘Eco Idle’ yang berfungsi cekap memberikan tahap penjimatan minyak khususnya ketika dipandu di jalan raya sesak seperti di bandaraya.

Meskipun ketika enjin ini berhenti seketika, pendingin hawa yang berfungsi dengan bantuan bateri mampu memberikan tahap pengaliran udara yang diperlukan namun, jika anda tidak mahukan fungsi ini mengganggu perjalanan tekan saja butang ‘off’. Model varian 1.5 Advance (AT) turut dipadankan dengan rim aloi dua tona bersaiz 15 inci menyerlahkan gaya sporty manakala varian 1.3 dilengkapi rim bersaiz 14 inci. Untuk model ini, ia juga dipasang skirt sisi, bampar belakang dua tona hitam termasuk spoiler selain antena sirip yang lebih sporty.

Ruang dalaman Myvi baru ini juga kelihatan lebih menarik dan kemas khususnya papan pemuka yang tersusun serta mesra pengguna. Sistem kemasukan tanpa kunci dan butang tekan mula (Push-Start) membolehkan pemandu tidak perlu lagi menggunakan anak kunci bagi menghidupkan enjin. Panel pendingin hawa larasan digital terletak dibawah panel skrin multimedia cukup moden dan boleh ditetapkan dalam dua mod memori. Begitu juga dengan panel meter digital yang memaparkan jarak perjalanan yang merujuk kepada penggunaan bahan api.

Kerusi saduran kulit dengan kemasan jahitan merah dan putih cukup selesa untuk pemandu serta penumpang sekali gus membuktikan kualiti tinggi yang ditawarkan kepada pemilik.
Bahagian belakang Myvi ini juga dipanjangkan 937mm untuk kelegaan ruang kaki manakala ruang but seluas 277 liter, 69 liter lebih besar daripada Myvi generasi kedua mampu memuatkan bagasi dengan mudah. Jika mahukan ruang lebih luas, rebahkan sahaja kerusi belakangnya dan konfigurasi tempat duduk boleh laras 8+1 juga boleh disesuaikan mengikut keperluan.

Sistem multimedia ‘Smart Link’ dengan sambungan Bluetooth dilengkapi paparan kamera undur selain Pengesan Kedudukan Global (GPS) antara ciri premium yang datang bersama varian ini. Bagi mereka yang mahu mengecas gajet dan telefon bimbit, tiga saluran USB sangat praktikal malah penyangkut beg tangan anti kecurian pada kerusi penumpang hadapan amat berguna terutama kepada pemandu wanita.

Paling menarik, varian ini didatangkan dengan ciri alat pembaca tol binaan dalam dengan penunjuk baki dan anda hanya perlu menyediakan kad prabayar untuk mengaktifkannya.
Dipadankan dengan enjin 1.5 liter Dual VVT-i DOHC dengan kotak gear empat kelajuan automatik yang menerima penarafan kenderaan cekap tenaga (EEV) menawarkan penjimatan bahan api terbaik. Ia mampu mencatatkan penggunaan bahan api sekitar 20.1 dan 21.1 kilometer seliter (km/l). Enjin terbaru ini mencatatkan 103 PS pada 6,000 rpm dan daya tork 136 Nm pada 4,200 rpm. Untuk kestabilan, Myvi ini dilengkapi Sistem Brek Anti-Kunci (ABS) dengan Pengagihan Kuasa Brek Elektronik (EBD) dan Kawalan Kestabilan Kenderaan (VSC) serta enam beg udara.

Perbezaan varian ini dengan model lain adalah teknologi Bantuan Pemanduan Selamat (ASA) yang kali pertama diperkenalkan dalam kenderaan keluaran Perodua. Teknologi ini membolehkan Amaran Pra-Pelanggaran (Pre-Collision Warning) pada kelajuan 30km/j diberikan kepada pemandu supaya tindakan pencegahan dapat dilakukan segera. Fungsi Brek Pra-Pelanggaran (Pre-Collision Braking) membantu memberhentikan kenderaan dengan membrek secara automatik jika pemandu gagal menekan pedal brek manakala Peringatan Bergerak ke Depan (Front Departure Alert) memberi amaran kepada pemandu bahawa kenderaan hadapan sudah bergerak terutama ketika kesesakan jalan raya.

ASA didatangkan dengan Kawalan Kegagalan Pedal (Pedal Misoperation Control) yang menghalang pergerakan kereta jika pemandu secara tidak sengaja tertukar transmisi mengundur kepada ‘drive’. Sistem ini akan diaktifkan sekiranya ada halangan di hadapan seperti dinding atau tembok. Model 1.5 Advance ditawarkan pada harga jualan RM55,300 (tanpa insurans) dengan waranti lima tahun atau 150,000km. Enam warna ditawarkan iaitu Kelabu Granite, Merah Lava, Ungu Mystical, Perak Glittering, Putih Ivory dan Hijau Peppermint (1.3 liter sahaja).

BMW i8 Roadster Diperkenalkan Tahun Depan, MINI Elektrik 2019

Menara Ibu Pejabat BMW Group di Munich dinyalakan seperti bateri. BMW Group Malaysia terus menerajui dengan perkongsian pasaran Kenderaan Hibrid BMW paling tinggi dikuasakan oleh Teknologi eDrive.

BMW Group telah menyerahkan lebih 100,000 kenderaan elektrik kepada para pelanggan di seluruh negara pada tahun 2017, sebagaimana yang dijanjikannya pada awal tahun ini. Ia nyata selari dengan peranan syarikat selaku peneraju dalam mobiliti-elektro.

Nyalaan lampu bakal meraikan pencapaian ini yang menuju ke arah mobiliti masa depan, apabila ibu pejabat BMW Group, turut dikenali sebagai “Four-Cylinder” dan cukup terkenal di dunia serta terletak di utara Munich akan ditukar menjadi sebuah bateri. BMW Group memilih simbol nyalaan lampu ini untuk mewakili perubahan teknologi dalam bidang mobiliti.

“Kami menunaikan janji kami,” kata Pengerusi Ahli Lembaga Pengurusan BMW AG, Harald Krüger. “Lampu setinggi 99 meter ini mengiringi era mobiliti-elektro. Sejak pengenalan BMW i3 pada tahun 2013, kami telah menyerahkan lebih 200,000 unit kenderaan elektrik kepada pelanggan. Menjelang tahun 2025, kami akan menawarkan 25 model elektrik kepada pelanggan. Fokus awal kami ke atas mobiliti-elektro telah membuahkan hasil – mobiliti-elektro akan terus menjadi ukuran saya untuk kejayaan kami pada masa depan.”

Di Malaysia, pengeluar kenderaan premium itu telah mengukuhkan BMW sebagai jenama hibrid premium di negara ini, apabila menyerahkan lebih 6,200 unit kenderaan BMW iPerformance Hybrid dengan teknologi eDrive. Angka penghantaran keseluruhan menunjukkan bahawa lebih 50% daripada jumlah keseluruhan jualan kenderaan oleh BMW Malaysia di negara ini melibatkan kenderaan hibrid dengan teknologi eDrive. Ia merupakan pecahan paling tinggi yang bukan sahaja di ASEAN, malah di dunia buat BMW Group.

Pengarah Urusan & Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif BMW Group Malaysia, Han Sang Yun berkata, “Malaysia merintis jalan bersama beberapa negara progresif lain menerusi inovasi dalam aspek Mobiliti Masa Depan dan Mobiliti Elektro. “Sebahagian besar kejayaan ini disumbang oleh kerajaan Malaysia yang dilihat cukup progresif dengan Dasar Automotif Negara (NAP). Dasar itu menggalakkan adaptasi teknologi dan inovasi baru ke dalam industri automotif di Malaysia,” kata Han.

Elektrifikasi yang fleksibel ke atas semua siri model

Mobiliti-Elektro merupakan satu elemen penting dalam strategi korporat NUMBER ONE > NEXT yang terus mengukuhkan posisi BMW Group sebagai peneraju dalam menyediakan perkhidmatan mobiliti dan mobiliti premium individu. Menjelang tahun 2025, syarikat akan menawarkan 25 model elektrik sepenuhnya dan plug-in hybrid di seluruh dunia. Generasi kelima rangkaian kuasa elektrik dan teknologi bateri yang ditawarkan mulai tahun 2021 menggunakan kit elektrifikasi modular yang boleh diskala. Ia membolehkan semua siri model dipasang dengan semua jenis rangkaian kuasa.

Bagi jenama BMW i yang ditubuhkan pada tahun 2011 pula, syarikat sudahpun memperoleh hak nama untuk BMW i1 hingga i9 dan BMW iX1 hingga iX9. Tahun depan akan menyaksikan pelancaran BMW i8 Roadster, diikuti oleh MINI elektrik sepenuhnya pada tahun 2019; BMW X3 versi elektrik pada tahun 2020; dan teknologi baharu BMW iNext pada tahun 2021. BMW iNext menggabungkan mobiliti-elektro dengan pemanduan autonomi dan opsyen ketersambungan di dalam ruang kabin baharu yang pertama kali diperkenalkan pada model produksi.

BMW Group mengadaptasi pendekatan holistik ke atas aspek mobiliti-elektro lebih awal apabila melancarkan projek i, yang membawa kepada kemunculan BMW i pada tahun 2007. Tahun-tahun berikutnya, jentera elektrik mula berada di atas jalan di seluruh dunia dalam skala paling besar yang pernah dilihat oleh industri automotif. Beberapa siri produksi kenderaan elektrik sepenuhnya BMW i3, salah satu kereta konsep yang paling banyak menerima anugerah di dunia dimulakan pada tahun 2013.  Sejak itu, jualan kian meningkat setiap tahun untuk empat tahun berturut-turut.

BMW Group peneraju dalam menyediakan mobiliti-elektro

Terima kasih kepada fokus awalnya ke atas mobiliti-elektro, BMW Group sudahpun mampu menerajui pasaran kereta elektrik. Menurut laporan bebas POLK/IHS (diterbitkan pada 7 Disember 2017), BMW Group jelas mengatasi pesaingnya yang lain dari segi jumlah pendaftaran kenderaan elektrik sepenuhnya dan plug-in hybrid di Eropah dengan perkongsian pasaran sebanyak 21 peratus. Ini bermakna perkongsian pasaran BMW Group dalam segmen kenderaan elektrik adalah tiga kali lebih besar berbanding penguasaannya ke atas pasaran model-model tradisional. Ketka kenderaan elektrik kini hanya merangkumi dua peratus untuk pendaftaran kereta baharu semua pengeluar di Eropah, angka BMW Group sudahpun mencapai enam peratus.

Dalam erti kata lain, BMW Group memiliki penguasaan pasaran yang cukup besar bagi pasaran mobiliti-elektro yang kian berkembang di Eropah. Posisi syarikat dilihat cukup kukuh apabila dinilai pada pasaran seluruh dunia – syarikat memiliki perkongsian pasaran sebanyak 10 peratus dalam pasaran kenderaan elektrik global.

Model-model elektrik mendapat permintaan tinggi di Eropah barat dan AS. Buktinya, ia mewakili tujuh peratus daripada jualan keseluruhan kenderaan BMW di kedua-dua pasaran tersebut. Di negara Scandinavia, di mana BMW i3 menjadi model terlaris BMW, satu daripada empat BMW yang terjual ialah versi elektrik.

Di Jerman, jumlah pendaftaran baru kenderaan elektrik dan plug-in hybrid kereta BMW Group bakal mencecah lebih 10,000 unit pada tahun ini. Rangkaian kuasa elektrik juga memainkan peranan penting ke atas pilihan enjin untuk sesebuah model. Pada tahun 2017, satu persepuluh sedan BMW 3 Series yang diserahkan kepada pelanggan di seluruh dunia ialah model elektrik. Dalam kes BMW 2 Series Active Tourer pula, 13 peratus model yang dijual pada tahun 2017 ialah plug-in hybrid. Sejak dilancarkan pada Jun 2017, MINI Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 (gabungan penggunaan bahan api 2.3-2.1 l/100km; emisi CO2 52-49 g/km) mewakili satu persepuluh daripada jualan keseluruhan MINI Countryman di seluruh dunia. Jualan BMW i3 elektrik sepenuhnya juga meningkat sebanyak satu perempat (semua angka sehingga November 2017).

Bagi melengkapkan lagi sembilan kenderaan elektrik empat roda yang ditawarkan oleh BMW Group, syarikat turut menghasilkan jentera dua roda untuk mobiliti-elektro premium: BMW C evolution. Berikutan pengenalan bateri baharu yang mampu meningkatkan jarak skuter itu sehingga 160km, jualan skuter elektrik tersebut meningkat sebanyak 80% berbanding 11 bulan tahun lalu. Sebanyak 1,500 unit berjaya dijual di seluruh dunia, selain 100,000 kereta elektrik yang dijual oleh BMW pada tahun 2017.

Majlis penyerahan di BMW Welt

Seorang pelanggan bertuah menerima kejutan istimewa pada hari ini: Seorang pemandu berusia 80 tahun dari wilayah Utara Rhine-Westphalia, Jerman menerima BMW i3 berwarna biru (Protonic Blue) di BMW Welt, Munich petang tadi. Sekali gus menjadikan beliau pelanggan ke 100,000 yang membeli kenderaan elektrik BMW Group pada tahun ini. Pengerusi Ahli Lembaga Pengurusan BMW AG, Harald Krüger mengalu-alukan kedatangan beliau ke BMW Welt dan menyerahkan sendiri kunci kereta baharu itu. Katanya, “Keseronokan berhubung dengan mobiliti elektro dirasai oleh setiap generasi. Menyerahkan kenderaan elektrik yang ke-100,000 unit ke atas jalan raya pada tahun ini sememangnya satu momen istimewa buat saya.”

Bagi meraikan pencapaian penting ini, menara ibu pejabat “Four-Cylinder” BMW dipasang dengan lampu menjadi sepeti bateri yang diletakkan secara menegak. Ia mewakili pemikiran ke hadapan yang menjadi asas kepada DNA BMW.

Iluminasi istimewa itu akan dipancarkan ke atas bangunan pada petang 18 Disember mulai 8:00pm hingga tengah malam. Projek itu disempurnakan dengan kolaborasi organisasi kebudayaan Spielmotor Muenchen. Kerjasama kerajaan-swasta di antara pihak Bandar Munich dan BMW Group ini dimulakan pada tahun 1979. Ia bertujuan membawakan kepelbagaian budaya ke Munich, selain mengukuh serta mengembangkan peranan bandar itu sebagai destinasi kebudayaan di peringkat nasional dan antarabangsa.

The all-new EMUI 8.0 offers one-step shortcut where users can long press a selected mobile application such as ‘Gallery’ to launch a desktop shortcut on screen, for instance, ‘My Favourites’ and ‘Latest Photos’. Additionally, the system upgrade enables the feature of 3D panorama, where still images can be viewed in the 3D mode and appeared on the lock screen.
The EMUI 8.0 can allocate resources dynamically to offer more CPU and memory to the frequently used mobile applications. Based on the machine learning, the low memory management function actively rearranges memory space to reduce fragmentation, and helps compress memory to save more space for important mobile applications.
The system upgrade to EMUI 8.0 enables HUAWEI Mate 9 Series to bring in a durable fast-user experience. It will learn and adapt one’s usage pattern through the ways of scrolling images in gallery, browsing contacts in address book or opening background running mobile applications – all of which will improve user experience over time.
