AmMetLife Insurance Berhad (“AmMetLife”) launched its first product lined up for 2018 –WealthAssure, a limited premium payment non-participating endowment and investment-linked insurance plan which offers a combination of insurance protection, savings and investment.
The launch of WealthAssure was officiated by Ramzi Toubassy, Chief Executive Officer, AmMetLife Insurance Berhad together with Tai Chee Ming, Chief Agency Officer and Ang Swee Choo, Chief Marketing Officer. Also present at the launch event were Agency Force members of AmMetLife.
WealthAssure provides Death and Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) coverage and in addition, it provides a Guaranteed Cash Payment payable every year starting from the end of policy year one. With this benefit, customers have a choice to either:
Receive the Guaranteed Cash Payment annually; or
Invest the Guaranteed Cash Payment in the chosen Investment-Linked fund of their policy at 100% allocation rate.
To enable customers to enjoy potential growth and the freedom of managing their investments for this insurance plan, WealthAssure offers customers a variety of Investment-Linked funds to choose from depending on the individual’s risk appetite. The Account Value of WealthAssure will depend on the price of the underlying units, which in turn depends on the investment performance of the customer’s chosen fund.
However in the event of death or TPD, the Basic Sum Assured plus totalremaining Guaranteed Cash Payments until maturity and Account Value will be payable in one lump sum. Once the death or TPD coverage has been fully paid, the policy will be terminated.
WealthAssure also provides Additional Accidental Death Coverage Up To 500% Of Basic Sum Assured payable in in one lump sum on top of the Death Benefit payable if death is due to an accidental cause.
Selecting the most appropriate premium and policy term is an important factor when planning for the right protection plan. Taking this into consideration, WealthAssure customers are offered the Option to select their preferred Premium Payment Term and Policy Term. This means customers can choose their payment term from a choice of six years, 10 years, and 20 years for the respective policy term of 20 years, 25 years and 35 years.
Once the policy reaches its maturity, customers will benefit from receiving a Lump Sum Amount which consists of the Basic Sum Assured and the Account Value.

One motor car changed the course of automotive history. Today, the legend is re-told as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars proudly announces the creation of a collection of 35 model year 2018 Rolls-Royce Ghosts, created in homage to the original Silver Ghost’s achievement.
In 1904, a pioneering motorist, a brilliant entrepreneur and an intrepid engineer were united by a desire to succeed. Three years later, this success was recognised by the world’s media.
An unfathomable challenge unprecedented of its time and legendary to this day, was completed by The Hon. Charles Rolls and Claude Johnson in Sir Henry Royce’s ‘Silver Ghost’. The car achieved a non-stop long distance endurance record of 14,371 miles. This challenge was to shape automotive and luxury history, creating a world-renowned benchmark for excellence in the process.
It was the twelfth 40/50hp chassis, completed with a Barker & Co 4/5 seater touring body, commissioned by Claude Johnson, then Managing Director of Rolls-Royce Limited that was quickly recognised for its ability to demonstrate the marque’s prowess. The ethereally quiet running of this extraordinary automobile and the silver paint with silver fittings, led Johnson to select this very car for high-profile competitive trials, bestowing the name, ‘Silver Ghost’ upon it.
In celebration of this extraordinary feat of engineering excellence, a special collection of model year 2018 Bespoke Ghosts will be created at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex. Thirty-five patrons of the marque will delight in a contemporary masterpiece of automotive history, as the Bespoke Collective of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars envisions the ‘Silver Ghost Collection’.

The Rolls-Royce ‘Silver Ghost Collection’
Today, a Rolls-Royce motor car is the ultimate luxury, steeped in narrative, veiled in rarity. A Rolls-Royce Collection Car showcases the extraordinary talents of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design team; they are born collectables. These are future classics, destined for the lawns of the great international Concours d’Élégance.
Careful consideration has been paid to the defining features of this collection. References extoling the past are skilfully hand-crafted into Ghost’s interior and exterior, creating a contemporary homage which speaks as much of today’s great brand as the ‘Silver Ghost’ does of its day.
A solid sterling-silver Spirit of Ecstasy, the muse that has guided motor cars created by the marque since 1911, will hint at the pioneering heritage of this motor car’s forebear. A specially created Hallmark of AX201, the registration plate of the original ‘Silver Ghost’, will be marked on the base of each muse by the British Assay office, an honour reserved for few. Alongside the AX201 Hallmark, the Metal Fineness marks and the Assay Office town mark, a second unique ‘RR’ Hallmark, the eponymous badge of the marque, will act as the Sponsor’s Mark and authenticate its heritage.
A black-gold-plated collar enshrouds the base of the Spirit of Ecstasy, itself bearing the unique identity of this collection. An insert is crafted from hammered copper, in tribute to the copper extensively used in the engine bay of the original ‘Silver Ghost’. The copper, shaped, beaten and textured is engraved with the newly designed AX201 Hallmark.
Cassiopeia Silver, a complex Bespoke silver paint that incorporates both warm and cool tones, bathes the exterior of Ghost in a hue that echoes the silver paint of the original motor car. A Bespoke hand-painted coachline, applied by Rolls-Royce’s master coachline painter and taking eight hours to apply, is imbued with fine particles of 100% pure silver, adding to the provenance of this collection.
The face of the Model Year 2018 motor car is instantly recognisable as one of 35 in this collection. Black painted grille veins mimic the distinctive black grille of the ‘Silver Ghost’, while the fully-polished wheel centres encircled with ‘SILVER GHOST – SINCE 1907’ engraved on a Cassiopeia Silver backing, echo the fine details of the original car.
On opening the coach doors, accents of a specially created ‘Forest Green’ leather provide a nod to the original interior colour scheme. A newly designed silver tipped leather makes its Rolls-Royce debut, being incorporated onto the front and rear door panniers. Additionally, a silver onlay has been set into the open pore wood of the fascia and door cappings, flanking a solid silver ingot, hallmarked to allow reflection of this motor car’s great lineage.
Further reference to the ‘Silver Ghost’ is made via the collection’s clock, styled as an ingot of silver, engraved with ‘Silver Ghost Since 1907’ and once again marked with the distinguishing hallmarks of this collection. A peened solid silver encasement provides a decorative surface, reminiscent of the original dials of the ‘Silver Ghost’.
The tread plates proudly authenticate each motor car, engraved with the words ‘Silver Ghost Collection – One of Thirty-Five’, while the Rolls-Royce umbrellas, stowed in the doors of each motor car, are edged in a silver-coloured binding and have an open-pore Tudor Oak handle, with the end of the handle engraved to demonstrate its unique origins.
A Bespoke central console allows the patron to convey personal accoutrements, accommodating contemporary touring. A time-piece, sunglasses and accessories case is presented alongside a ‘Silver Ghost’ pen, shaped as the speedform of the car; clean, modern and streamlined.
As a finishing touch and to complete the collection, a rare and collectable Silver Ghost Hamper will continue Rolls-Royce’s romantic notion of the pinnacle in al fresco dining, proudly displaying a fusion of Bespoke Design with the finest craftsmanship.
2018 a new vintage year for Ghost
In addition to the beautiful Bespoke features enumerated above, the ‘Silver Ghost Collection’ also benefits from the several enhancements of the 2018 Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The most immediate of these is the bolder and more sculptured face of Ghost, reinforcing the decisive and dynamic character of Ghost. The grille frame is pushed further forward, producing a stronger sweep back into the front wings, to give the front of the car a more decisive character. More deeply set grille vanes underline the perception of power and dynamism, while the redesigned front bumper now features strongly horizontal lines. The perceived dynamism of the 2018 Ghost’s exterior is also enhanced by two completely new 21” wheel designs.
The owner’s enjoyment of Ghost’s cabin has also been enhanced through a suite of technological upgrades and acoustic advancements. Inspired by the acoustic engineering undertaken to make New Phantom ‘the most silent motor-car in the world’, the 2018 Ghost benefits from Rolls-Royce’s mantra to “take the best and make it better”, as it constantly strives for even the smallest improvements.
Additional sound dampening materials have been added to the doors, rear wings and luggage compartment. Working in combination with a new acoustic film fitted between the glass layers in the side and rear windows to further reduce noise entering the cabin, the results are most impressive.
A quieter cabin sets the stage for the most technologically advanced Rolls-Royce multimedia entertainment system. A totally new multimedia interface and larger screens for the rear passengers are only the start of the entertainment upgrades offered by Ghost this year. To add to the effortless experience, the new system now responds to natural speech rather than predetermined commands, whilst navigation is improved by the Real Time Traffic Information for 32 countries.
Entertainment and communication is also enhanced by Blue Ray; Digital Radio capability in more countries, including Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service for the United States market; a new ATM module linked to a 4G LTE standard antenna which will support significantly increased data transfer; enhanced USB and HDMI connections with the motor-car’s systems which also supports Miracast®, whilst three sets of Kleer headphones are supported over WiFi.

MERCHANTRADE dalam kenyataannya hari ini berkata, pelaksanaan e-KYC akan diintegrasi dengan eRemit, portal dan aplikasi mobil perkhidmatan pengiriman wang yang pernah menggondol anugerah.
“Dengan e-KYC, pemohon baru kini lebih mudah untuk mendaftar dan menikmati pengalaman digital sepenuhnya semasa melakukan transaksi pertukaran wang menerusi eRemit.
“Integrasi ini dijangka beroperasi secara ‘live’ pada awal suku kedua 2018,” katanya.
Merchantrade berkata, perkhidmatan pengiriman wang dalam talian Merchantrade, eRemit, dibangunkan pada tahun 2011 dan menerima anugerah Best Remittance Breakthrough Transfers pada tahun 2016.

Maxis announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Robert Nason as its Executive Director and interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 April 2018. He will remain in this role until the new CEO is appointed.
ROBERT was appointed to Maxis Board in 2016 as its Independent Director. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and the Business & IT Transformation Committee. With this appointment, Robert will relinquish his role as Chairman and Member of the Audit Committee and step down as Chairman of the Business & IT Transformation Committee but will continue as its member. These changes take effect 2 March 2018.
Robert retired from Telstra Corporation in 2015 after five and a half years leading a major transformation of its operations. His role at Telstra involved regular, active participation on the company’s Business Unit Performance Review Committee, Strategy Committee, M&A Committee, Capital Investment Management Committee, Growth Committee, Customer Advocacy Committee and Risk Committee.
He was the Chairman and Director of Foxtel Pty. Ltd. from 2012 until February 2017. He was a Director of various companies/Boards in Australia and elsewhere from 2003 to 2010.
His international experience includes living and working in the US and UK together with extensive experience in transformation projects for many companies in Asia, Europe, North and South America.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) – Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a fellow of CPA Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Daging wagyu ini sendiri merupakan campuran sel lemak dan otot. Walaupun lemak tu nampak sama banyak dengan daging, tapi khasiatnya lebih tinggi daripada mana-mana daging lembu biasa. Lebih tinggi ‘Marbeling’ (lemak dalaman yang tidak tepu) lagi mahal daging wagyu ini.
Harga gred daging wagyu paling tinggi iaitu A5 BMS 12 boleh mencecah RM25,000 sekilogram. Kalau tak percaya singgah di JAHHET, mereka ada semua 15 jenis gred wagyu dari A, B dan C.

Daging lembu Wagyu (Miyazaki Beef) adalah daging bergred tinggi yang diternak di Miyazaki, Jepun. Lembu ini diberi makan sayur organik, jagung dan diberi minum air sungai yang mengandungi mineral tinggi dari kawasan pergunungan Kirishima.
Apa yang menarik ialah lembu wagyu dari Miyazaki memenangi Anugerah Perdana Menteri dalam Pameran Kompetitif Kebangsaan Wagyu pada tahun 2007 dan 2012.
Wagyu dari Miyazaki atau lebih dikenali di Jepun dengan Miyazaki Gyu adalah daging terbaik di Jepun yang telah memenangi The Champion Brand in Japanese Beef Competition since 2007 selama tiga kali berturut-turut iaitu 2007, 2012 dan 2017. Pertandingan ini berlangsung setiap lima tahun sekali.

IN 1968, almost exactly 50 years ago, the first Audi 100 was unveiled in Ingolstadt, Germany. As Audi’s first entry into the line of full-size business sedans, the Audi 100 was a successful model and the flagship of the brand at that time, providing a solid foundation for Audi’s premium positioning.
Over the years, the Audi 100 would evolve into the Audi A6 (since midway through the fourth-generation), becoming one of the most successful Audi vehicle models and the leading character of the business class.
Now in its eighth-generation, the all-new Audi A6 continues to push and redefine the limits of
what is possibly the most competitive segment; the business class. With a stunning arsenal of technology to revolutionise every aspect of the vehicle, whether it’s the dynamic all-wheel
steering with mild-hybrid engine, all-digital MMI touch response system with Audi connect and
a wider array of driver assistance systems, this is the future of business mobility.
Along with its segment-mate the Audi A7 Sportback, the eighth-generation Audi A6 is the
expressive ambassador of Audi’s new design language with taut surfaces, sharp edges and
striking lines. It stands out from the exterior with crisp proportions that combine a long hood,
long wheelbase and short overhangs for a dynamic silhouette that conveys sporty elegance
coupled with high-tech sophistication.
In terms of dimensions, the new Audi A6 is 4,939 millimetres (16.2 ft) long, which is 7
millimetres (0.3 in) longer than its predecessor. The width has been increased by 12 millimetres (0.5 in) to 1,886 millimetres (6.2 ft) while the height at 1,457 millimetres (4.8 ft) is almost unchanged at 2 millimetres (0.1 in) more than on the outgoing model.
Using an intelligent mixed-construction of steel and aluminium in the body shell, with components such as the front suspension strut dome, doors, hood/trunk lids and fenders all made of aluminium, weight is also optimised and body rigidity is maximised, to ensure top quality feel and sporty handling.
From the front, a wide, low-slung Singleframe grille, flat headlights and the powerfully
contoured air inlets undrline the sedan’s sportiness, whilst on the side, three striking lines help
reduce the car’s visual height, drawing it closer to the road for a sportier stance. This theme
continues with the muscular and taut contours drawn over the wheels, testimony of Audi’s
quattro genes. At the rear, a striking chrome strip also accentuates the three-dimensional

As with all Audi vehicles, the lighting design continues to reinforce the technical character of the new Audi A6, with three available configurations. With the top-of-the-line version, the HD
Matrix LED headlights, there are a total of five horizontal lines that form the daytime running
light signature, emphasizing the width of the front.
The interior of the Audi A6 combines design and technology to create a business class cabin that is larger, more refined and more intuitive than its predecessor. Featuring a black-panel design, a cool look which expresses the technical competence and digital character of the sedan, the interior of the Audi A6 has a relaxed lounge atmosphere in a design language that comes across as integrated and minimalist.
The top-of-the-line version, the Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System, also delivers fascinating 3D sound to the rear thanks to its height information. Telephony is also taken to a new level in relation to operation as well as the sound and connection quality thanks to the Audi phone box.
Audi connect online services also provide the car-to-X services traffic sign and hazard
information. They use the swarm intelligence from the Audi fleet and network the Audi A6 with its environment. Shortly after the market launch, the on-street parking service will be added, which makes looking for a parking space easier. Other refined driver assistance systems, including the parking pilot and the garage pilot will also provide new standards in the business class, autonomously manoeuvring the sedan into and out of a parking space or garage.
The driver can get out of the car before activating and monitoring the process using the myAudi app on their smartphone. The parking pilot and the garage pilot form part of the Park assist package, one of three packages. The City assist package includes features such as the new crossing assist.
Depending on equipment, the sensor set includes up to five radar sensors, five cameras, twelve ultrasonic sensors as well as a laser scanner – another major innovation.
The redesigned wheel suspension is also made out of lightweight aluminium in many areas.
Despite the larger wheels (measuring up to 21 inches and tire sizes of up to 255/35) compared to the outgoing model, the Audi A6 has improved ride and noise comfort.
Brakes with fixed calipers made from aluminium are fitted to the front axle. Audi provides a choice of four variants for the suspension setup: the conventional steel spring suspension, the sport suspension, the suspension with damper control, and the adaptive air suspension, also with controlled damping.
As part of the launch in the European markets, Audi offers the new Audi A6 with two powerful, smooth engines – one diesel and one gasoline unit. Paired with a seven-speed S tronic transmission and Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel drive, the 3.0 TFSI petrol variant is a turbocharged V6 engine that generates 340 hp (250 kW) and 500 Nm of torque, allowing the business sedan to accelerate to 100km/h in just 5.1 seconds, on to an
electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
On the other hand, the 3.0 TDI engine variant develops 286 hp (210 kW) and 620 Nm of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive.
In terms of fuel efficiency and emissions, the petrol engine has a combined fuel consumption of 7.1 – 6.7 l/100 km (33.1 – 35.1 mpg)* and a combined CO2 emissions of 161 – 151 g/km (259.1 – 243.0 g/mi)*, whilst the diesel version has a combined fuel consumption of 5.8 – 5.5 l/100 km (40.6 – 42.8 mpg)* and a CO2 emissions of 150 – 142 g/km (241.4 – 228.5 g/mi)*.
Both engine options for the new Audi A6 come with Audi’s new mild-hybrid technology (MHEV), where a belt alternator starter (BAS) works together with a lithium-ion battery. At speeds between 55 and 160 km/h (34.2 – 99.4 mph), the four-door coupé can coast in freewheeling mode with the engine deactivated and then restarted comfortably via the BAS.
Whendecel erating, this engine is also able to achieve a recuperation performance of up to 12 kW, recharging the lithium-ion battery. The start-stop function has been significantly expanded and now activates at 22 km/h (13.7 mph), with the engine getting restarted from standstill predictively as soon as the vehicle in front of the Audi A6 starts moving. The new Audi A6 is due to roll off the assembly line at the Neckarsulm site and will launch on
the German market in June 2018. The basic price as the Audi A6 Sedan 50 TDI quattro
(combined fuel consumption: 5.8 – 5.5 l/100km (40.6 – 42.8 mpg)*; combined CO2 emissions: 150 – 142 g/km (241.4 – 228.5 g/mi)*) is 58,050 euros.
MISC Group, a world leading energy related maritime solutions and services provider has taken delivery of Seri Camar, the fourth in a series of five MOSS-Type Seri C Class Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers.
The 150,200 CBM LNG carrier has been built for MISC by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), and benefits from an Integrated Hull Structure (IHS) with four spherical tanks shielded by a continuous cover, fortifying the vessel to allow for operation in even the harshest marine environments.
Seri Camar joins her sister MOSS-Type newbuilds Seri Cenderawasih, Seri Camellia and Seri Cempaka on long-term charter to PETRONAS.
MISC’s Fourth MOSS-Type LNG Carrier, the Seri Camar Owned by MISC, the Malaysian-flagged vessel was delivered at a naming ceremony held at the HHI yard in Ulsan, South Korea, attended by PETRONAS Executive Vice President & CEO Upstream, Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib and his wife, Lady Sponsor to the vessel,Datin Mariani Ibrahim.

The MOSS-Type newbuilds are part of MISC’s long term fleet expansion programme and have been designed for worldwide trading capability to enable them to call at over 80 LNG receiving terminals and more than 26 liquefaction terminals in operation worldwide. Its robust and superior cargo containment system allows higher degree of flexibility for MISC to accommodate cargo loading operation at Floating LNG (FLNG) unit.
This positions MISC as the first shipowner in the world to have operation experience
with an FLNG unit.

Open Along with the unique integrated hull design, the MOSS-Type vessels have been designed to minimise hull resistance, increase propulsion efficiency, reduce power requirements, and reduce CO2 emissions.
Energy saving devices include pre-swirl duct and propeller boss cap fins, providing around 4% energy savings at design draft, along with an X-twister rudder for improved maneuvering performance.
The vessels have been awarded the Green Passport Notification and with an extended low-load gas mode meaning that they can operate entirely on LNG for full compliance with existing and impending Sulphur Emissions Control Area (SECA) regulations.

The delivery of Seri Camar brings the current number of MISC’s LNG fleet to 28 vessels, further strengthening MISC’s position as a reliable and safe transporter of LNG.
