Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, the CSR foundation of Naza Group, invited over 120 children from two orphanages for a sumptuous iftar with Naza Group senior management team and staff volunteers at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

THE yearly initiative by the privately-owned Bumiputera conglomerate aims to give back to the society during the Ramadhan period and make Ramadhan a more cheerful one for the underprivileged community.

Orphans from Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim dan Miskin Seri Kundang and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Peribadi Mulia enjoyed a scrumptious Buka Puasa buffet spread at the event hosted by the co-founder of Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Puan Sri Datin Seri Utama Zaleha Ismail and her family, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman, Naza Group of Companies and his spouse Marion Caunter Abdullah; Datuk Wira SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman, Naza Group of Companies; SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin, Deputy Executive Chairman, Naza Group of Companies; Nur Diana SM Nasimuddin and Nur Nadia SM Nasimuddin, Directors of F&B Division, Naza F&B Holdings.

The orphans also received over RM70,000 worth of new clothes, duit raya and monetary contribution to the homes to celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“It has been Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin’s tradition to give our support to the underprivileged especially during the month of Ramadhan. The foundation was established in honour of our late father and hence it serves a purpose close to our hearts – to help those in need and contribute to the common good through charity and volunteerism,” said SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman & CEO, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd.

“We are beyond grateful and happy to be able to spread the joy of Ramadhan yet again with those in need. Through our corporate social responsibility programmes, we hope that by sharing our good fortune with the less fortunate, we are able to make the month of blessings and their Syawal more meaningful,” added SM Nasarudin.

Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin volunteers, comprising of senior management and staff of the Naza Group, also participated in the month-long Ramadhan CSR programme where they visited less fortunate communities.
