Volkswagen Revises Prices Is Now Lower With SST Tax Structure

Tax Holiday Continues

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) announced the revised prices of all Volkswagen models with the implementation of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) on the 1 st of September 2018. With the exception of CBU models, the new prices of Volkswagen cars are now lower than previous prices with 6% GST.

Additionally, the VPCM Price Protection Scheme (PPS) is still applicable for all models registered by the 15 th of November 2018 and while stocks last.

Since the introduction of the PPS, VPCM has seen a rise in demand for Volkswagen models. While VPCM is doing its best to meet the demand, stocks are very limited and customers are urged to not delay placing their bookings

Below is a comparison on prices of the locally assembled models and total savings under the PPS:

With the new tax structure, the reduction of Volkswagen prices ranges from 1.5% (for the
Tiguan Comfortline) to 2.6% (for the Vento Highline) compared against the previous tax structure with GST. We believe that the new prices, as well as our recently-introduced Price Protection Scheme makes owning a Volkswagen even more attractive to Malaysians.”

“As for aftersales service, the prices are determined by the service tax rate, and customers can download the revised service pricing guide on the Volkswagen website,” he added.

Proton Serap SST Untuk Semua Model Bagi Bulan September

Proton catat peningkatan jualan tiga bulan berturut-turut manakala Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan (SST) akan diserap untuk  semua model pada September.

PENINGKATAN jualan seperti yang dicatatkan pada bulan-bulan lalu diteruskan pada Ogos 2018 apabila Proton sekali lagi memperoleh jualan bulanan tertinggi bagi tahun 2018 untuk tiga bulan berturut-turut.

Jualan meningkat sebanyak 11.7% berbanding Julai, menjadikan Ogos sebagai bulan jualan tertinggi untuk kereta-kereta Proton sejak 36 bulan yang lalu. Secara keseluruhannya, sebanyak 9,501 unit kereta telah dijual, di mana ini bukan sahaja pencapaian terbaharu bagi tahun ini, tetapi merupakan volum jualan terbanyak sejak Julai 2015.

Ramalan pegangan pasaran meningkat dengan Saga dan Persona terus mendominasi keseluruhan jualan selaras dengan pertumbuhan volum jualan, ia menunjukkan peningkatan pegangan pasaran selama tiga bulan berturut-turut.

Jumlah Keseluruhan Industri (TIV) sebanyak 15.4% dijangkakan bagi bulan Ogos, meskipun peratusan sebenar akan diumumkan oleh Persatuan Automotif Malaysia (MAA).

Sama seperti 7 bulan sebelum ini, Proton Saga dan Persona kekal menjadi model pilihan pembeli apabila kedua-dua model ini kekal mendominasi jualan Syarikat.

Saga menunjukkan prestasi yang sangat memberangsangkan dan memecah rekod jualan sebanyak 4,000 unit dengan pendaftaran sebanyak 4,174. Manakala, Proton Persona hampir mencapai jualan 3,000 unit dengan pendaftaran sebanyak 2,957 unit bagi Ogos.

“Ogos telah memperlihatkan pertumbuhan jualan sebanyak tiga kali berturut-turut untuk PROTON di mana Syarikat sekali lagi mencapai volum yang tinggi bagi tahun ini.

Pertumbuhan ini sedikit sebanyak didorong oleh GST yang berkadar sifar sebelum pelaksanaan Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan (SST), serta kempen pemasaran yang giat dijalankan bagi mengingatkan rakyat Malaysia untuk mengambil kesempatan bersempena dengan pembelian tanpa cukai ini.

Jumlah jualan yang tinggi ini menunjukkan peningkatan keyakinan orang ramai terhadap jenama kami kerana ramai yang masih memilih PROTON berdasarkan pakej menarik yang ditawarkan kepada mereka.

Pelan pemulihan kami berjalan seperti yang dirancangkan, kini menjadi tanggungjawab kami untuk memastikan mereka kekal memilih jenama kami dengan memberikan servis pelanggan yang terbaik,” kata Abdul Rashid Musa, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PROTON Edar.

SST akan diserap oleh PROTON untuk semua model bagi September

Pelaksanaan SST telah mendatangkan kesan kepada pasaran automotif Malaysia di mana pembeli kereta telah berpusu-pusu untuk membuat pembelian sebelum cukai tersebut dilaksanakan.

Sebelum ini PROTON menyatakan bahawa terdapat perubahan harga apabila SST dilaksanakan, tetapi, buat masa ini perubahan tersebut tidak akan memberi kesan terhadap pembeli-pembeli kereta Proton. Ini kerana PROTON akan menyerap kos SST untuk semua model Proton bagi memastikan pembeli masih dapat membeli dengan harga tanpa cukai.

“Sementara PROTON menunggu maklumat lanjut mengenai pelaksanaan SST, Syarikat akan menyerap kos SST tersebut untuk semua model untuk memberi peluang kepada pembeli untuk membeli kereta. Ini memberikan manfaat kepada mereka semasa tempoh transaksi serta membantu PROTON mengekalkan momentum jualan.”

Diskaun antara RM500 sehingga RM1,000 akan ditawarkan bagi Saga, Iriz dan Persona, serta Proton Ertiga Xtra yang baharu sahaja dilancarkan, di mana model tersebut menampilkan tempat duduk baharu berwarna gelap serta unit utama berskrin sentuh, dengan penjimatan sebanyak RM2,000 daripada harga asal,” ujar Abdul Rashid.

New Price Honda Cars Effective 1 September 2018

Honda Malaysia today announced the new pricing of its models following the recent announcement by the Government of Malaysia on the Sales and Service Tax (SST) implementation effective 1st September 2018.

HONDA new pricing is inclusive of 10% Sales Tax which was implemented on motor vehicles.

Honda’s Completely Knocked Down (CKD) models namely Jazz, BR-V, City, Civic, CR-V and Accord will be priced ranging from RM70,242 to RM169,398*. Prices of its Completely Built Unit (CBU) models such as the Odyssey and Civic Type R will be priced at RM258,896 and RM330,002* respectively.

The new SST establishment will have its rate set at 10% for sales and 6% for services. Honda Malaysia’s after-sales services will be subjected to a 6% service tax for maintenance labour charge.

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Toichi Ishiyama said, “With the new SST legislation taking effect on 1st September 2018, Honda Malaysia have adjusted the prices for Honda models and after-sales services accordingly.

Selaras dengan pengenalan semula Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan (SST) kerajaan mulai 1 September 2018, Perodua telah mengeluarkan senarai harga baharu untuk semua kenderaannya, antara 1-3% lebih rendah (untuk model tertentu sahaja) berbanding era 6% Barangan dan Cukai Perkhidmatan (GST).

Pada 1 Jun 2018, kerajaan telah merombak kadar cukai GST dari 6% ke kadar sifar, membuka ‘cuti cukai’ selama 3 bulan kepada rakyat Malaysia dan membawa kepada peningkatan permintaan kenderaan dalam tempoh tersebut.

Pada bulan Julai, Kementerian Kewangan telah mengumumkan bahawa SST, yang menggantikan GST, akan ditetapkan pada kadar 10% untuk jualan dan 6% untuk perkhidmatan.

Kerajaan Diharap Tidak Jual Aset Petronas Ke Pihak Asing-Mohamad Hasan

Timbalan Presiden UMNO Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan berharap kerajaan tidak akan menjual aset milik Petronas kepada syarikat Petron seperti yang dilaporkan oleh media Jepun Nikkei sebelum ini.

MOHAMAD berkata demikian ketika merujuk kepada perkembangan terbaru iaitu perlantikan syarikat minyak Filipina, Petron sebagai pembekal bahan api kepada kerajaan dan Petronas diminta untuk membayar 50% lebih dividen sebanyak RM24 bilion kepada kerajaan tahun ini.

“Sepanjang 10 tahun lalu di bawah kerajaan Barisan Nasional (BN), kita tidak menjarah wang Petronas dan kami tidak memaksa Petronas untuk membiayai projek yang tidak ada kaitan dengan industrinya sebagaimana dilakukan pada masa lalu,

“Ini kerana kita mahu Petronas menjadi salah satu syarikat terbesar dunia dan bersiap sedia apabila rizab minyak dan gas Malaysia berkurangan.

“Ekoran langkah itu, aset dan baki tunai Petronas telah meningkat berkali ganda bagi tempoh 10 tahun lalu. Hari ini, Petronas memiliki baki tunai RM174 bilion bagi perancangan pembangunan mereka,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan.

Baru-baru ini, Nikkei memetik kenyataan Presiden syarikat Petron Ramon Ang sebagai berkata syarikat itu bersedia untuk membeli aset-aset milik Petronas di Malaysia apabila kerajaan Malaysia mula menswastakan Petronas dan aset-aset lain negara di atas alasan untuk mengurangkan hutang kerajaan RM1 trilion yang merupakan angka rekaan sendiri.

WALAUPUN ramai rakyat Malaysia masih belum terbiasa atau mungkin ragu-ragu mengenai mata wang  kripto, sudah ada orang yang menggunakan aset digital tersebut untuk berdagang di negara ini.

Pada 4 Ogos 2018, dua unit kondo bernilai RM2.39 juta telah dibeli menggunakan DEO aset kripto oleh  seorang ahli perniagaan Indonesia yang sudah menetap di Malaysia sejak 1997.

Eddie Virgo dari  Medan, Indonesia, yang menjalankan perniagaan pengiriman wang di Indonesia dan  Malaysia, membeli kondominium Queens Residence Bayan Bay, Pulau Pinang berhampiran dengan  Queensbay Mall daripada Ideal Property Group.

Kedua-dua unit tersebut, masing-masing berharga RM1.19 juta dan RM1.19 juta.

24 Hours KFC Drive-Thru Will Be Open In 2019 At Botanica CT Township, Balik Pulau

Residents in the sprawling at Botanica CT Township in Balik Pulau will have more reason to cheer as popular fast food restaurant KFC will be opening its doors for business by the fourth quarter of 2019.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between MTT Properties & Development Sdn Bhd (MTT Properties), a subsidiary of MTT Group of Companies and QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), through its wholly owned subsidiary company, QSR Stores Sdn Bhd (QSR Stores) to provide KFC Drive-Thru restaurant service.

According to Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari, the strategic partnership offers an excellent opportunity for QSR Brands to expand its business and restaurant services. He added that as a market leader in Malaysia’s quick service restaurants industry, it aims to be easily accessible to consumers.
