Mercedes-Benz Debuts Three New Variants E-Class

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has unveiled the all-new Mercedes-Benz E 350 AMG Line as well as the Mercedes-Benz E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde and the Mercedes-Benz E 300 Exclusive Line – exemplifying the automobile’s brand ethos, coupled with added state-of-the-art performance and safety features.

THE E-Class portrays style, status and exclusivity with class and progression. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class range showcases a proud heritage in the premium luxury vehicles segment carrying the modern luxury hallmark and exclusivity with its suite of luxurious features and stylish highlights with distinctive emotive design and high-grade interior.

With the launch of the Mercedes-Benz E 350 AMG Line, it expands the range with a luxury performance variant with the new turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine under the hood.

The new range of locally-assembled Mercedes-Benz E-Class takes a step further in the evolution of safety, comfort and performance while upholding the standard of design and luxury.

With the latest Mecedez-Benz E 350 AMG Line, the Mercedes-Benz E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde and the Mercedes-Benz E 300 Exclusive customers will get to experience best-in-class luxury and performance.

The new E 350 with AMG line is distinguished by its brawny AMG bodystyling that enhances the sportiness and sophistication of the vehicle. It carries the modern luxury hallmark and exclusivity made possible through Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship.

With its good sporty look, the E 350 AMG Line offers the best of both worlds with the new twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine in the stable.

The four-cylinder twin-scroll turbochargers allow the car to produce high torque at low engine speeds with high specific output. With this, the engine gives a total system output of 220 kW (299 hp) with a maximum torque of 400 Nm with an addition of 150 Nm boost attributed by the belt-driven starter generator, allowing it to boast an acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h in only 5.9 seconds.

New in the car is the Driving Assistance Package, a safety package of several safety technologies, which help to avoid collision while enhancing the car’s standard safety features.

The car is also equipped with the DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL suspension with adjustable damping between maximum agility or high damping comfort suited to the route profile and personal driving style.

Also joining the E-Class range, it comes with the AVANTGARDE exterior with additional chrome trim, the 18-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels. Together with the standard exterior and interior specifications, the SPORTSTYLE package comprises a chrome louvre below the front bumper, a badge on the front wing, a chrome trim element in the rear bumper in high-gloss black, as well as visible tailpipe embellishers, on the outside.

On the inside, the SPORTSTYLE package consists of the headliner in black fabric, centre console in light carbon grain aluminium trim, sport pedals in brushed stainless steel with black rubber stuffs and the SPORTSTYLE package floor mats.

Its centrepiece is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, giving a total output of 145 kW (197hp) with a maximum torque of 320 Nm. As part of the safety and assistance package, the Blind Spot Assist is new in the variant.

The new E 300 Exclusive

It portrays a more definitive and elegant look emphasising status with the classic Mercedes radiator grille, and the iconic star on the bonnet, unlike the E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde and E 350 AMG Line.

It also comes with the similar 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing a total output of 190 kW (258 hp) with a maximum torque of 370 Nm.

The E 300 Exclusive is compliemented by the Lane Tracking package which includes the Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist to ensure the driver does not drift into other traffic.

Ducati Opens Newest Training Center In Asia

Ducati recently opened its newest Training Center at the Ducati factory in Rayong, Thailand.

THIS state-of-the-art facility is built and conceived with the aim of further enhancing the level of the customer experience in its every aspect within all Ducati dealerships in the Asia Pacific region.

Brand trainings, Ducati Riding Experience certifications and technical trainings will, from now on, all be conducted using the Ducati Asia Pacific Training Center.

Dominique Cheraki (Ducati Asia Markets Director) commented: “The best training program in the world is worthless without the will to execute it properly, consistently, and with intensity.

“With our new Training center we have now state-of-the-art facilities that will enable us to deliver strong brand and technical trainings to all personnel from the whole Asia-Pacific Ducati network.”

Last year Ducati APAC started deploying, with this goal in mind, the so-called Genius Program, on which Ducati has been working since early 2016, that consists of a series of courses and trainings that not only certifies the knowledge and skills of Ducati’s technicians, but also draw a career path for all of them based on different level of expertise and certifications achieved.

In addition, thanks to the availability of augmented reality technology, training-engines and training-workshops, in 2019 more than 230 technicians and 100 dealers’ employees will be enabled to provide Ducati customers with a 360-degree experience all over the region.

Petronas Launches New Range Of Petronas Syntium With °CoolTech™

Enters hybrid car market and brings the latest ‘track to road technology’ in the most advanced engine oils

PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) unveiled a new range of PETRONAS Syntium with °CoolTech™, bringing the latest ‘track-to-road technology’ in the most advanced engine lubricants to-date.

The series includes the first engine oil for hybrid cars, marking PLI’s entry into the hybrid car market.

Aside from five new upgrades in the PETRONAS Syntium 7000 range, enhancements were also made to the PETRONAS Syntium 3000, PETRONAS Syntium 800 and PETRONAS Syntium 500 series to provide better engine performance and lower carbon emissions from motor vehicles.

New Honda HR-V Remains No 1 In Compact SUV Segment

New Honda HR-V sold over 3,000 units within one month and the New HR-V dominated 87% of market share in the Compact SUV segment as of January 2019

HONDA Malaysia announced that the New HR-V has received bookings of more than 8,500 units up to date.

With the official launch in January 2019, the bookings increased exponentially, achieving over three months’ target within one month with close to 4,000 bookings recorded.

Since its launch, Honda Malaysia has delivered more than 3,000 units of the New HR-V to its customers. The New HR-V also dominated 87% of market share in the Compact SUV segment as of January 2019 and remains No.1 position as the segment leader.

Based on the New HR-V sales recorded by region to date, Klang Valley contributed the highest sales at 47% where the stylish New HR-V proved to be fitting for urban driving. The Southern region recorded 18% of total sales while the Northern region also contributed 18%.

The Passion Red Pearl was the new colour option offered by Honda Malaysia and the New HR-V was the first model to feature the colour. The Passion Red Pearl colour appears to be the favourite among the customers, representing 28% of overall sales for the New HR-V.

The New HR-V is offered in four variants, the Hybrid, RS, V and E. The Petrol variant is powered by a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine combined with Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that delivers a fun-to-drive experience.

Jualan Perodua Tahun Ke Tahun Naik 7.3%, Aruz Terima Lebih 13,000 Tempahan

Perodua menjual hampir 37,400 kenderaan dalam tempoh dua bulan pertama tahun 2019 – peningkatan sebanyak 7.3% berbanding 34,800 kenderaan yang dijual pada tempoh yang sama sebelumnya.

PERODUA memberitahu ini disebabkan permintaan yang tinggi untuk hampir kesemua modelnya.

“Peningkatan prestasi jualan adalah hasil daripada usaha kami untuk menambahbaik masa penghantaran kami,” kata Pengarah Urusan Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Dr Zahari Husin.

Dalam dua bulan pertama tahun ini, Perodua menjual sekitar 15,000 unit Myvi, 10,100 unit Axia, 5,900 unit Bezza, 3,600 unit Aruz dan 2,700 unit Alza, manakala dari segi pengeluaran, 36,500 kenderaan telah dikeluarkan – hampir 6.2% lebih daripada 34,375 unit dalam tempoh yang sama tahun lepas.

“Sementara menunggu laporan bahagian pasaran daripada Persatuan Automotif Malaysia (MAA), kami menganggarkan bahawa bahagian pasaran kami setakat tahun ini adalah 41%.

“Sementara itu, SUV tujuh tempat duduk terbaharu kami, Perodua Aruz, terus meraih pesanan yang memberangsangkan dengan lebih daripada 13,000 tempahan diterima sejak awal Januari,” katanya lagi.

Perodua Aruz ditawarkan dalam dua varian iaitu X dan AV. Pada masa ini, kira-kira 85% daripada tempahan adalah untuk AV.

“Kami telah menyelaraskan operasi pengeluaran kami dalam usaha mengurangkan masa menunggu untuk Aruz. Ini akan diteruskan juga pada bulan Mac.
