Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia), the national post and parcel service provider, is shining a spotlight on the nation’s protected parrots with the launch of the Parrots of Malaysia Special Stamp Collection, bringing together the art of philately with the cause of wildlife conservation.
Developed in collaboration with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) Peninsular Malaysia, this special commemorative issue reflects a shared commitment to preserving Malaysia’s unique natural heritage and ensuring ecological balance for future generations.
Parrots play a vital role in the ecosystem by aiding in seed dispersal and forest regeneration. Highly valued for their intelligence and distinctive plumage, these birds are protected under wildlife conservation laws to ensure their continued survival.
The collection features two beautifully illustrated stamp designs and a specially crafted miniature sheet enhanced with die-cut printing, which gives the stamp a distinctively shaped edge that mirrors the natural silhouette of the parrots, adding a unique tactile and visual dimension to the collection.
Three protected parrot species native to Malaysia’s rainforests are showcased:
• Long-tailed Parakeet (Psittacula longicauda) — Fully Protected under Act 716; IUCN Red List: Vulnerable (VU)
• Blue-rumped Parrot (Psittinus cyanurus) — Fully Protected under Act 716; IUCN Red List: Near Threatened (NT)
• Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot (Loriculus galgulus) — Protected under Act 716; IUCN Red List: Least Concern (LC)
The Parrots of Malaysia Folder Set is priced at RM66.30 and includes a complete range of philatelic items in two stamp designs – RM1.00 (Blue-rumped Parrot) and RM1.30 (Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot) stamps, a miniature sheet, a First Day Cover bearing the stamps, another First Day Cover featuring the miniature sheet, and an exclusive folder produced specifically for this release.

Inheriting the legacy of Seiko’s original diver’s watch, this creation features a timeless, purpose-driven design combined with high functionality, including 300 meters of water resistance for air diving and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.
This creation pairs a refreshing silver-white dial with blue accents in the form of the aluminum bezel insert and the seconds hand.
The watch’s bracelet features a clasp that allows for a 15mm adjustment range, easily extended or shortened in six 2.5mm increments by pressing the side buttons. This ensures a comfortable fit, adapting to changes in wrist size caused by diving pressure or the weather.
A second model featuring a sculpted design and a two-tone bezel
The limited-edition model powered by Caliber 4R35 is distinguished by its bold case shape and sharply defined design. The lugs feature decisive faceting as if sculpted by a sword. By emphasizing flat planes, the design achieves a crisp, dynamic appearance.
This sharp aesthetic carries through to the bracelet links, while the hands and indexes are unified in a sharp design, resulting in a diver’s watch with a commanding presence. The watch features a two-tone aluminum bezel insert, rendered in silver tone for the 0-to-15 minute scale and blue for the remainder, serving as a distinctive design accent.
The two limited-edition creations will be available from June 2026 at the Seiko boutiques and select retailers worldwide.
Pasaran telefon pintar boleh lipat kini semakin matang, tetapi HONOR nampaknya mahu membawa kategori ini ke tahap lebih ekstrem menerusi pengenalan HONOR Magic V6.
Dalam sesi pra tonton yang diadakan baru-baru ini, HONOR bukan sahaja memperlihatkan reka bentuk peranti, malah turut menguji tahap ketahanan telefon ini dengan demonstrasi yang agak luar biasa.
Sebaik sahaja kotak HONOR Magic V6 dibuka, pengalaman pertama yang dirasai ialah pendekatan premium yang cuba diketengahkan HONOR. Kotaknya tampil kemas dengan aksesori asas yang masih dikekalkan, sesuatu yang semakin jarang dilihat pada telefon premium masa kini.
REKAAN
Rekaan yang sangat nipis menjadikan ia terasa lebih seperti telefon flagship biasa berbanding sebuah telefon boleh lipat. HONOR mengatakan Magic V6 hadir dengan ketebalan hanya 4.0mm ketika dibuka dan 8.75mm apabila dilipat sekali gus meletakkannya antara telefon lipat ternipis di pasaran ketika ini.
Sebaik sahaja dipegang, perkara pertama yang terus mencuri perhatian ialah betapa nipisnya Magic V6. Ini menyebabkan pengalaman memegangnya terasa sangat berbeza berbanding kebanyakan foldable lain yang biasanya tebal dan berat.
Magic V6 terasa lebih dekat dengan sebuah telefon premium konvensional, bukannya peranti eksperimen teknologi dan secara jujurnya, inilah antara perkara paling penting untuk masa depan telefon jenis ini. KETAHANAN
Apa yang membezakan Magic V6 berbanding peranti lain ialah pendekatan HONOR yang memberi penekanan besar terhadap aspek ketahanan. Dalam demonstrasi yang dilakukan, Magic V6 digunakan untuk menarik sebuah pesawat Diamond DA42 Twin Star seberat 1.25 tan sejauh 150 meter.
Selain itu, telefon ini turut digunakan untuk menarik sebuah Ferrari dan dijadikan sebagai pull-up bar bagi menguji kekuatan struktur engselnya. Demonstrasi tersebut dilakukan bagi membuktikan kemampuan teknologi “HONOR Super Steel Hinge” yang digunakan pada Magic V6.
Menurut HONOR, engsel ini mempunyai kekuatan tegangan sehingga 2800MPa iaitu hampir dua kali ganda lebih kuat berbanding pillar-A pada sebuah kereta.
Malah, engsel ini turut diuji sehingga 500,000 kali lipatan yang dianggarkan bersamaan sekitar 13 tahun penggunaan harian biasa. Dalam penggunaan sebenar, ini merupakan aspek penting kerana isu engsel sering menjadi kebimbangan utama pengguna peranti boleh lipat sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini.
PERLINDUNGAN SKRIN DIPERTINGKAT
Selain engsel, HONOR turut menambah baik sistem perlindungan skrin pada Magic V6. Skrin luar menggunakan teknologi baharu HONOR Anti-Scratch Nano Crystal Shield dengan salutan silikon nitrida 5,600 lapisan. HONOR mendakwa teknologi ini menawarkan ketahanan jika terjatuh, tahan calar dan kalis air serta habuk.
Malah, dalam demonstrasi yang diperlihatkan kepada media, skrin luar Magic V6 diuji menggunakan wire brush drill bagi melihat tahap ketahanan terhadap calar dan kerosakan fizikal. Untuk skrin dalaman pula, HONOR menggunakan lapisan Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) fleksibel yang dikatakan mampu mengurangkan kesan lipatan pada skrin selain meningkatkan ketahanan impak.
Magic V6 juga menjadi antara foldable terawal yang hadir dengan penarafan IP68 dan IP69 untuk ketahanan air dan habuk sesuatu yang masih jarang ditawarkan pada telefon boleh lipat ketika ini.
Meskipun masih banyak spesifikasi belum didedahkan mengenai peranti ini, dalam artikel pandang pertama ini hala tuju HONOR untuk Magic V6 sudah cukup jelas iaitu mereka mahu menghasilkan foldable yang bukan sahaja nipis dan premium, tetapi cukup tahan untuk dijadikan telefon harian tanpa kompromi besar terhadap ketahanan.
KAMERA
Peranti ini turut dipadankan dengan fungsi pintar Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) terbina bagi fungsi kamera AI Matrix yang boleh menghasilkan gambar potret dengan kualiti dan penghasilan sama bagaikan di studio sebagaimana ciri pada model HONOR Magic V3 dan V5 sebelum ini.

Rantaian bekalan lembu, kerbau dan kambing untuk ibadah korban pada tahun ini di Kemboja masih stabil dan tidak memberi impak yang ketara walaupun dunia sedang berhadapan dengan konflik di Asia Barat.
Tidak dinafikan harga lembu dan kambing mengalami kenaikan disebabkan ketegangan global tetapi kenaikan harga disebabkan oleh tekanan domestik seperti kenaikan bahan api, kos pengangkutan, kos makanan haiwan ternakan dan cuaca panas yang berpanjangan.
Pengerusi NGO Antarabangsa, Datuk Dr Mustapha Ahmad Marican berkata, sebelum ini harga seekor lembu sekitar USD600 tetapi pada tahun ini harga meningkat kepada USD700 manakala harga kambing pula tiada kenaikan ketara disebabkan kurang permintaan.
Beliau berkata, harga seekor kambing ketika ini sekitar USD200 hingga USD300 bergantung kepada saiz haiwan tersebut. Di Kemboja kos bahan api minyak petrol ialah USD1.50 per liter manakala harga minyak diesel USD2 per liter.
“Kos pengangkutan turut meningkat kerana bekalan lembu, kerbau dan kambing jauh di pedalaman dan pergunungan. Cuaca yang panas berpanjangan turut mempengaruhi faktor harga. Padang ragut yang kering dan kekurangan sumber air menyebabkan kurangnya ternakan lembu, kerbau serta kambing dan bekalan haiwan ini terpaksa diperolehi dari tempat yang jauh.
“Selain itu, krisis Kemboja Thailand turut mempengaruhi pasaran harga semasa. Penutupan sempadan Kemboja Thailand turut memberi kesan kepada penternak yang tinggal di sempadan kedua-dua negara,” katanya.
Walaupun begitu, ianya tidak mematahkan semangat Mustapha melaksanakan ibadah korban di pedalaman Kemboja demi mendekati dan menyantuni golongan mereka yang memerlukan.
Menurutnya, daging-daging korban ini akan diagihkan kepada fakir miskin yang daif, anak-anak yatim dan keluarga yang kurang berkemampuan.
“Sebelum ibadah korban lagi kita telah mengenal pasti kampung-kampung di Kemboja melibatkan golongan ini. Kita mengambil langkah inisiatif untuk masuk ke kampung-kampung pedalaman agar golongan ini tidak tercicir dari menerima agihan daging korban.
“Pada tahun ini, NGO Seaweed memperolehi sebanyak 6 ekor lembu dan 1 ekor kambing untuk dijadikan haiwan sembelihan pada ibadah korban kali ini. Kita akan berusaha sedaya yang mungkin untuk berkongsi rezeki dan mengagihkan pada mereka yang memerlukan.
“Ada diantara mereka ini hanya menikmati daging setahun sekali sahaja dan ada yang tidak pernah langsung merasainya malah ada yang menerima daging korban sehingga mengalirkan air mata kegembiraan.
“Hilang rasanya penat menempuh perjalanan yang jauh apabila melihat mereka gembira. Di kesempatan ini juga, beliau berpesan agar berhati-hati dengan penipuan mengutip dana untuk melaksanakan ibadah korban, membina masjid, surau, sekolah agama dan sebagainya,” katanya.
Mustapha berkata, orang ramai perlu memastikan maklumat mengenai ibadah korban itu sahih bagi mengelakkan segelintir pihak mengambil kesempatan di atas sifat ikhlas dan suka menderma rakyat Malaysia.
Sementara itu, beliau turut mengucapkan terima kasih kepada mereka yang menyumbang dan membantu melaksanakan ibadah korban dan kerja-kerja kebajikan pada tahun ini.
Katanya, usaha murni ini membawa sinar harapan yang besar buat mereka yang menerimanya dan semoga setiap sen yang disumbangkan menjadi asbab beratnya timbangan amal kebaikan di akhirat kelak.
“Selagi hayat dikandung badan saya akan tetap teruskan kerja-kerja kebajikan dan memberi manfaat kepada dunia di sekeliling. Jangan pernah rasa sia-sia melakukan kerja kebajikan ini,” katanya yang sudah lebih 25 tahun menjalankan kerja-kerja kebajikan di Kemboja serta Negara Asean lain seperti Vietnam, Thailand Loas dan Indonesia .
Beliau sudah lama memulakan program kebajikan di Kemboja sejak 1999 lagi sewaktu beliau berkhidmat di Wisma Putra serta mempunyai pengalaman luas dalam bidang ketenteraan, korporat dan pendidikan membantu beliau komited dengan NGO Antarabangsa.
Hasil kerja kebajikan yang berterusan Mustapha telah membina 6 buah masjid serta surau, 4,100 buah telaga dan menyediakan 1 sebuah tapak tanah perkuburan islam dan bantuan pada bulan puasa, aidilfitri dan aidiladha untuk menyantuni golongan fakir miskin dan mereka yang kurang berkemampuan.
Pernah menerima Anugerah Utama Semarak Cinta Rasul sempena Maulidur Rasul peringkat kebangsaan dan Anugerah Khas Tokoh NGO Antarabangsa Dan Kesejahteraan Ummah dari Kerajaan Arab Saudi serta pelbagai anugerah dari dalam dan luar negeri, kesungguhan Mustapha harus di puji dan tidak ramai orang yang mampu untuk membuat kerja-kerja kebajikan di luar negara yang mempunyai pelbagai cabaran dan rintangan.
