Epson has announced the launch of its new AX6 Collaborative Robot (Cobot) in Southeast Asia, marking the introduction of its first-ever collaborative robot designed to make automation more accessible, flexible and safer across specialised working environments
Weighing just 17kg, the AX6 is the lightest collaborative robot in its class and features a compact carbon-body design that allows it to be deployed in space-constrained environments, including cleanrooms, laboratories and specialised production facilities.
Designed to support industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, logistics, automotive and electronics manufacturing, the AX6 combines intuitive hand-guided teaching, easy block programming and compatibility with development tools such as Python and ROS. It also features an ISO Class 5 cleanroom classification, IP54 dust and splash protection, and built-in collaborative safety functions to support safer operations alongside human personnel.
The AX6 is now available for purchase in Malaysia, offering organisations a more flexible approach to automating repetitive tasks while allowing employees to focus on higher-value and specialised work.
