Shaped by desire: The new CLE

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduces the new Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 4MATIC Coupé, continuing its long tradition of sporty, elegant cars. Featuring a perfect blend of conceptual and technical innovations from the C-Class and E-Class, the two-door coupé radiates
powerful presence and timeless elegance.

The new CLE Coupé embodies an emotional statement from every perspective. The sporty,
elegant two-door unites proportions typical of a coupé with the modern design language of
Mercedes-Benz, whose aesthetic soul is shaped by the design philosophy of Sensual Purity.

This creates a sculptural appearance for the CLE Coupé, which is characterised by flowing surfaces with seamless transitions. A distinctive shaped edge structures the powerful volume in the side wall.

This character line runs from the headlight to the exterior mirror and from the rear light to the door handle. It emphasises the sporty proportions and the powerful wheel arches.

The progressively forward-leaning front section (“shark nose”) with a low-slung bonnet, flat
DIGITAL LIGHT with projection function headlights with a unique design and a distinctive radiator grille ensure a decidedly athletic yet extremely elegant appearance.

With DIGITAL LIGHT drivers experience brilliant lighting conditions. The HD system works like a projector and reacts to changing conditions of traffic, road, or weather with constantly adjusted light.

The strongly contoured power domes on the long hood reference the powerful engines with up to six cylinders. As is typical for coupés, the radiator grille has a single louvre in high-gloss black.

Behind it shines a grille in a newly designed, three-dimensional chrome look with a Mercedes-Benz pattern.

The AMG line exterior comes with Night Package showcasing expressive black design elements which enhances the vehicle on the outside. These include the exterior mirror housings, beltline trim strips and side window surrounds.

Tinted windows and 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels complete the sporty, individual appearance. The vehicle comes with a panoramic sliding sunroof, Driving Assistance Package Plus, ambient lighting with projection of brand logo, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.

Self-steering rear wheels with up to 2.5° steering angle adjustment provides a more agile and stable ride. The CLE Coupé is equipped with Driving Assistance Package Plus, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist.

In addition, Parking package with Memory Parking Assist, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, 360° camera, and GUARD 360° Vehicle protection are also included.

The Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 4MATIC Coupé is priced at RM 518,888 (including 10% ST) for Peninsular Malaysia. Price is on the road, without insurance.

Samsung Officially Kicks-off Olympic and Paralympic Campaign in Final Countdown to Paris 2024

With less than 100 days to go until Paris 2024, Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, officially kicked-off its ‘Open always wins’ campaign – which celebrates the brand’s shared values of openness with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games – and announced the grand opening of its Olympic™️ rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 showcase.

As announced in January, Samsung’s ‘Open always wins’ message articulates the brand’s belief that openness enables new perspectives and infinite possibilities and will serve as the heart of its Paris 2024 programming.

The new campaign, which debuted today, brings ‘Open always wins’ to life through the stories of Team Samsung Galaxy skateboarder Aurélien Giraud (France), Para sprinter Johannes Floors (Germany) and breakdancer Sarah Bee (France) and demonstrates how being open enables you to do extraordinary things.

Perodua sasar kenaikan eksport sebanyak 79% pada 2024, perluas pasaran asing dengan pengenalan model Alza dan Axia ke Brunei

Perodua akan meningkatkan jualan eksport tahun ini sebanyak 79% kepada 1,960 unit berbanding 1,094 unit pada tahun 2023 berikutan sasaran yang dibuat oleh syarikat kereta kompak itu untuk meluaskan pasaran luar negaranya.

Pada 3 Mei 2024, Perodua telah memperkenalkan kereta model Alza AV dan H serta Axia AV dan G ke Brunei dengan sasaran jualan masing-masing sebanyak 120 unit serta 40 unit.
Di samping itu, Perodua turut mengeksport model Bezza 1.0L G ke Brunei dengan jangkaan jualan sebanyak 300 unit, menjadikan jumlah sasaran keseluruhan jualan tahun 2024 di negara berkenaan sebanyak 460 unit.

Pada tahun 2023, Perodua telah mencatat jualan sebanyak 300 unit Bezza 1.0L G ke Brunei, menjadikannya pasaran eksport terbesar syarikat berkenaan pada tahun lalu.

“Kami menjangkakan tahun 2024 akan menjadi tahun pertama pengembangan pasaran eksport kami kerana kami kini berada di tahap yang mana ekosistem automotif Malaysia sudah mampu untuk memenuhi permintaan yang kian meningkat terhadap kenderaan kami, sama ada di dalam mahupun di luar negara,” kata Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perodua, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Beliau menjangka pertumbuhan yang berterusan di dalam pasaran eksport Perodua berikutan pengembangan agresif yang dijalankan oleh syarikat berkenaan di dalam
operasinya di samping keupayaan pengeluaran para pembekalnya.

“Brunei adalah pasaran eksport pertama dipilih bagi tujuan pengembangan operasi tanpa menjejaskan peruntukan domestik kenderaan kami. Malah, kami telah berjaya mengurangkan tempoh menunggu untuk semua model popular kami dan mempunyai stok tersedia bagi sesetengah model kenderaan.

“Di samping itu, sasaran kami untuk meningkatkan pasaran eksport juga akan memberikan peluang yang lebih besar kepada para pembekal kami untuk turut sama meningkatkan jumlah jualan mereka selaras dengan keperluan bagi komponen alat ganti,” kata Dato’ Sri Zainal.

Bagi model yang baru dilancarkan di Brunei, harga yang ditawarkan adalah sebanyak B$30,900 bagi model Alza AV; B$27,900 bagi model Alza H; B$21,900 bagi model Axia AV dan B$17,900 bagi model Axia G. Manakala, harga bagi model Bezza 1.0L G adalah sebanyak B$16,900.

Kesemua harga yang disenaraikan adalah termasuk cukai jalan dan insurans.

Samsung Unveils New Three-Part Docu-Series Celebrating the Skateboarding, Breaking and Surfing Communities on the Road to Paris 2024

The short documentaries explore each sport’s iconic subcultures and their shared belief in openness Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, launched a new documentary series designed to spotlight skateboarding, breaking, and surfing on the Road to Paris 2024.

The series, produced in collaboration with the Street League Skateboarding (SLS), Pro Breaking Tour (PBT) and World Surf League (WSL), will feature three short docu-series: “Concrete Dreams”, “Breaking Boundaries”, and “The Next Wave.”

“Concrete Dreams”, which spotlights the skateboarding community’s journey to the Olympics, and The “Breaking Boundaries” is now live on Samsung’s YouTube Channel. “The Next Wave” will be released on May 21, and premiere at PBT’s Atlanta event and WSL’s event in Tahiti.

Starring sport legends Shaun Tomson, Eric Koston and David “Kid David” Shreibman alongside Olympic athletes Johanne Defay (Surfing, France), Sky Brown (Skateboarding, Great Britain), Grace “Sunny” Choi (Breaking, U.S.) and many more, the project celebrates the communities that lie at the heart of each sport as they get set to open themselves to the world this summer.

This new project is a key part of Samsung’s Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 campaign, ‘Open always wins,’ which claims that with an open mind, anything is possible — a motto these communities live by every day.

200 Biji Kek Percuma Buat Ibu Tunggal Sempena Hari Ibu

Kedai Kek Malaya, syarikat Bumiputera milik Gerbang Malaya Sdn Bhd meraikan golongan ibu tunggal dalam program tanggungjawab sosial korporat (CSR) hari ini. Program yang diadakan di Subang Perdana menyaksikan 200 orang ibu tunggal menerima kek secara percuma.

Selain mengedarkan kek, Kek Malaya turut mengadakan jualan amal dengan menurunkan harga sebiji kek dari RM25 ke RM15. Hasil kutipan dari jualan tersebut akan disalurkan kepada rumah anak-anak yatim terpilih.

Pengarah Urusan Kedai Kek Malaya, Mior Ashraf Norul Bashah berkata, program amal ini merupakan program pertama anjuran pihaknya.

“Saya terinspirasi untuk membuat program amal ini selepas melihat rakan perniagaan yang lain menganjurkannya tetapi mereka lebih tertumpu kepada pemberian beras, jadi saya fikir kenapa tidak saya memberikan sesuatu yang lain” katanya.

Beliau berkata, pemilihan ibu tunggal sebagai penerima sumbangan kek adalah kerana pihaknya mengagumi golongan ini yang dilihat sangat tabah dan kuat dalam menyara dan menjaga kebajikan keluarga.

“Sempena aidilfiti dan sambutan hari ibu, kami ingin menyantuni dan berharap dengan pemberian kecil ini dapat menceriakan hari mereka,” katanya.

Kedai Kek Malaya mula beroperasi pada tahun 2019 dan kini mempunyai empat buah cawangan iaitu di Ole-Ole Mall, Shah Alam, Taman Alam Megah, Shah Alam, Taman Pertama, Cheras dan Subang Perdana.

Richiamo Mart Rancang Sasar Buka 15 Cawangan Kedai Runcit Tahun Ini 

Richiamo, jenama kopi tempatan mencipta sejarahnya yang tersendiri menerusi pembukaan cawangan kedai serbaneka Richiamo Mart yang pertama di Bangi, sekali gus meluaskan penguasaannya dalam industri peruncitan serta makanan dan minuman (F&B) Bumiputera.

Pengarah Urusan Richiamo Mart Sdn Bhd, Wan Najib Wan Daud berkata, pihaknya menyasarkan membuka 15 cawangan yang berkonsepkan kafe dan kedai runcit membabitkan pelaburan sebanyak RM2.5 juta sehingga RM3 juta.

Beliau berkata, pembukaan Richiamo Mart adalah untuk memberi pilihan kepada pelanggan selain menyediakan platform kepada usahawan tempatan terutamanya Bumiputera memasarkan produk mereka.

Katanya, ketika ini terdapat jenama-jenama usahawan tempatan yang telah memasarkan produk mereka menggunakan platform Richiamo Mart dan berhasrat dapat meningkatkannya kepada 60 hingga 70 peratus.

“Kami berhasrat majoriti produk dalam Richiamo Mart adalah produk keluaran tempatan selain dari jenama nasional yang terkenal. Kami memperkenalkan konsep kafe di dalam kedai runcit di mana pelanggan boleh menikmati makanan seperti kopi, aiskrim, oden, serta makanan segera di makan sambil membeli belah barang keperluan,” katanya selepas majlis perasmian Richiamo Mart yang pertama di Plaza Bangi Perdana, di sini, hari ini.

Majlis dilancarkan oleh Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN), Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

Cawangan kedua dan ketiga Richiamo Mart akan dibuka tidak lama lagi di Petron Cheng, Melaka dan Seremban Oasis, Negeri Sembilan.

Manakala, cawangan keempat di Taman Dato Onn Johor Bahru dan cawangan kelima di Caltex Lebuh Raya Sultanah Bahiyah Alor Setar Kedah.

“Dalam tahun ini sahaja, kira-kira tujuh cawangan telah berikan komitmen untuk dibuka masing-masing melibatkan kawasan di Melaka, Seremban, Alor Setar, Johor Bharu, Rawang serta di Menara Matrade di Kuala Lumpur.

“Kita sasarkan antara 10 hingga 15 cawangan dibuka tahun ini dengan sasaran pendapatan bulanan antara RM50,000 hingga RM60,000,” katanya lagi.

Wan Najib berkata, Richiamo Mart adalah cabang perniagaan baharu di bawah Kumpulan Richiamo selain daripada Richiamo Manufacturing, Richiamo Coffee dan Yayasan Dakwah Negara.

Beliau berkata, penubuhan Richiamo Mart adalah kerana ia memberi pilihan terbaharu kepada pelanggan, sekali gus menyediakan satu platform kepada usahawan tempatan mempromosikan produk keluaran masing-masing selain dapat membuka peluang pekerjaan dan perniagaan.

“Sememangnya perniagaan seperti ini selain mewujudkan rantaian perniagaan yang berterusan ia juga mampu memberi skala ekonomi yang luas dan sudah tentunya memberi banyak peluang pekerjaan dalam kalangan rakyat serta peluang menjadi usahawan,” katanya.

Ketika ini terdapat jenama usahawan tempatan antaranya Bubbles 02, Kerepek Mina, Tisha, PopsLab, Fitrah, Beard Brothers, Fatiha, Ainon, Pak Chips, Munira, T’Salle, Salisporice, Dim Sum dan pau Mohd Chan, Sawanah, Maduria selain jenama terkenal lain seperti Adabi, Habhal, Halalgel, Mu’min dan lain-lain.
