Huawei today announced updates for its smartwatch range, including the latest update for eSIM connectivity using the Maxis eSIM Connect Plan on the HUAWEI WATCH 5 and HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2.
Both models can operate independently through the Maxis Connect Plan, giving users direct access to calls, messages and mobile data from their smartwatch.
The latest update now allows users to share their primary mobile number and existing data allocation across both their smartphone and smartwatch through the Maxis eSIM Connect Plan.
This arrangement ensures uninterrupted access to calls, messages and mobile data even when the smartphone is not nearby. By allowing the smartwatch to function independently, offering a greater sense of convenience and mobility, whether they are working, exercising, or moving between activities throughout the day.
As part of the festive period, the HUAWEI WATCH 5 and HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 are now offered through Maxis Postpaid at more accessible monthly rates, making it easier for users to experience smartwatch connectivity without stretching their budgets.
Customers who sign up during this period will also receive a three-month waiver on the Maxis Connect Plan, giving them the chance to explore the convenience of eSIM connectivity right from their wrist.
This promotion is available to both new and existing Maxis customers who purchase the HUAWEI WATCH 5 or HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 together with the Maxis Connect Plan via Maxis Postpaid at participating Maxis stores nationwide.

Huawei is also bringing festive offers to its non-eSIM smartwatch range, including the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series and the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series, which come with free gifts worth up to RM446*.
Known for their lightweight design, stylish looks and all-round health and fitness tracking, these models will be available in a special promotion from end of November to mid-January.
