Betamek Catat Keuntungan Selepas Cukai RM4.9 Juta Pada Suku Pertama Tahun Kewangan 2025

Betamek Berhad (Betamek), Pengeluar Reka Bentuk Asal (“ODM”) dan peneraju dalam perkhidmatan pembuatan elektronik (“EMS”) untuk industri automotif, mengumumkan keuntungan selepas cukai (PAT) berjumlah RM4.9 juta, meningkat 1.8 peratus daripada RM4.8 juta dalam tempoh yang sama tahun lepas bagi tahun kewangan bagi suku pertama berakhir 30 Jun 2024 (“S1 TK2025”).

Berikutan pencapaian positif keputusan kewangan itu turut diumum dividen interim satu sen sesaham utk pemegang saham yang akan dibayar mulai 23 Ogos 2024.

Syarikat mencapai keuntungan kasar RM8.6 juta, meningkat 8.2% daripada kira-kira RM8.0 juta pada suku yang sama tahun sebelumnya (“S1 TK2024”).

PAT Betamek meningkat sebanyak 7.7% daripada RM4.5 juta kepada RM4.9 juta, menunjukkan peningkatan kecekapan operasi dan pengurusan kos.

Bagi suku pertama TK2025, Betamek melaporkan hasil sebanyak RM49.9 juta, mewakili peningkatan 15% daripada RM43.5 juta pada S1 TK2024.

Walaupun terdapat penurunan dalam hasil daripada RM56 juta kepada kira-kira RM50 juta berbanding S4 TK2024, langkah strategik ini menekankan daya tahan Betamek dan pengurusan kewangan yang proaktif.

Pengarah Eksekutif Betamek, Muhammad Fauzi Abd Ghani berkata, prestasi positif pada Q1 TK2025 mencerminkan daya tahan dan tumpuan syarikat di tengah-tengah dinamik pasaran yang berkembang.

“Selain itu, kami juga berbesar hati untuk memberi ganjaran kepada pemegang saham setia kami dengan dividen interim pertama sebanyak satu sen untuk TK2025.

“Namun begitu, inisiatif strategik yang telah kami laksanakan mula membuahkan hasil yang positif, seperti yang dibuktikan oleh margin kami yang lebih baik dan pertumbuhan hasil yang kukuh Persatuan Automotif Malaysia (MAA) telah menyemak semula unjuran jualan kenderaannya untuk 2024 kepada 765,000 unit, meningkat daripada 765,000 unit. anggaran sebelumnya sebanyak 740,000 unit.

“Pada separuh pertama 2024, 390,296 kenderaan telah dijual, menandakan peningkatan 6.6% berbanding tempoh yang sama pada 2023,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Beliau menambah pertumbuhan ini, didorong terutamanya oleh kenaikan 9.2% dalam segmen kenderaan penumpang, mencerminkan daya tahan dan dinamisme sektor automotif.

Selain itu, sektor itu menyaksikan lonjakan ketara dalam jualan kenderaan elektrik (EV), lebih dua kali ganda kepada 6,617 unit pada separuj pertama 2024.

Pemain kereta nasional menyaksikan peningkatan bahagian pasaran kepada 37.6% dengan peralihan ketara ke arah EV, seperti EMO-1 Perodua.

Betamek dilengkapi dengan baik untuk menyokong peralihan ini dan memanfaatkan arah aliran pasaran automotif yang positif, mencerminkan permintaan yang mampan dalam pasaran automotif.

Bagi Betamek, pengambilalihan Sanshin (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“SMSB”) telah selesai, menandakan satu langkah penting untuk mempelbagaikan pangkalan pelanggan Betamek dan mengembangkan jejak antarabangsanya.

Hubungan terjalin SMSB dengan pengeluar automotif utama di Jepun, Hong Kong dan Thailand menyediakan Betamek akses segera kepada pasaran dan peluang baharu.

Selangor’s prominent conglomerate, Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB), has once again been honoured by The Asset, receiving The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards 2024 for Renewable Energy Deal of the Year under the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) category for Malaysia. The award was presented at The Asset’s 25th Anniversary Celebratory Gala Dinner at Four Seasons Singapore.

This prestigious award recognizes the syndicated green financing of up to RM999 million (the “Facility”) in relation to the development of Worldwide Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Phase 1 (the “Project”) spearheaded by WHB in Jeram, Selangor.

Provided by three financial institutions and confirmed by the second-party opinion provider RAM Sustainability as an eligible green project, the facility primarily funds the total cost of the project, which is part of Selangor state’s broader Integrated Solid Waste Management Master Plan and Selangor First Plan (RS-1).

Currently in its construction stage, the project is set to be the largest and most modern WTE project in Malaysia upon completion, supporting Selangor’s green agenda through its capability to generate about 52.0 MW of green energy from processing up to 3,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day.

Commenting on the award, WHB Group Chief Executive Officer, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, said, “We are honoured to once again be recognized by The Asset Triple A Awards for WHB’s role and commitment to sustainable and green energy projects in Malaysia. This follows our previous win in 2022 for Power/Utilities Deal of the Year for our 1,200 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant in Pulau Indah, Selangor, which is set to begin commercial operations soon.”

Norazlina also expressed her gratitude to the project financiers, noting that this achievement proves the viability and promising results of green projects facilitated by public-private partnership (PPP) schemes, such as the Worldwide WTE Jeram. She emphasized that Worldwide Holdings’ participation in such a landmark transaction would not have been possible without the unwavering trust placed in the Group by the financial institutions.

“Leading the development of this project is indeed one of the hallmarks of WHB’s role in environmental management services in Selangor for more than 30 years. Aside from being recognized as one of the high-impact projects under RS-1, it also serves as a long-term solution to waste management, reducing the use of land space for landfilling activities and 95% of the average volume of waste currently managed through conventional landfill disposal,” added Norazlina.

At maximum operating capacity, the Worldwide Jeram WTE is expected to reduce about 2,750 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per day and over 600 acres in landfill footprint over the next 30 years. Aligned with WHB’s ESG agenda aspirations, this project will be equipped with advanced international-standard technologies, such as a moving grate and stoker system and an airtight waste bunker with negative pressure, ensuring the project’s clean, sustainable and environmentally friendly operations.

The event saw strong participation from LG Malaysia employees and the local community in Selangor, all united in the goal of saving lives and supporting those in need. This initiative by LG Malaysia addresses the urgent need for 500 blood bags daily nationwide, ensuring an adequate supply for those in critical need.

The drive not only helps the National Blood Centre replenish its blood supply, but also raises public awareness about the importance and benefits of regular blood donations.

Justin Choi, Managing Director of LG Malaysia, emphasised the often-overlooked importance of blood donations. “Many people may not realise the significance of blood
donations until they need a transfusion themselves.

We aim to change this perception and highlight that donations are crucial for both recipients and donors.”

“LG Malaysia is humbled to host this blood drive with the support of the National Blood Centre. Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives, making every contribution invaluable to both the National Blood Centre and patients in need,” Justin
added.

According to Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, blood comprises three main components: red blood cells, platelets, and plasma. While plasma can be stored for up to three years, red blood cells have a storage life of only 42 days, and platelets just five days.

Dr. Mohammad Masrin Md Zahrin, Director of the National Blood Centre elaborated that with advancements in medical technology and the increasing number of hospitals nationwide, the demand for blood continues to grow, highlighting the critical need for ongoing blood drives to maintain a stable supply and support healthcare services that rely on blood transfusions.

“We are truly grateful for this collaboration with a global organisation such as LG Malaysia, who are more than willing to do their part in supporting the local health system.

This drive also allowed us to remind Malaysians not to be complacent about our health and the health of others by extending a helping hand when needed,” he said.
