Seminar Manage Your Diabetic With Dr Jue (MYDJ) ini dianjurkan oleh D’jue. Dr. Siti Juariah Kusni atau lebih dikenali sebagai Dr. Jue, seorang pakar kesihatan holistik yang terkenal menganjurkan seminar ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesedaran masyarakat mengenai diabetes, cara pencegahan, serta teknik pengurusan penyakit ini melalui gaya hidup yang sihat.

Dr. Jue memulakan seminar dengan membincangkan peningkatan kes diabetes di Malaysia, serta menegaskan bahawa ramai orang tidak menyedari mereka berada dalam tahap pradiabetes, yang merupakan tahap awal sebelum seseorang didiagnosis dengan diabetes.

Statistik menunjukkan bahawa 54% rakyat Malaysia kini menghidap obesiti, yang merupakan faktor utama penyumbang kepada diabetes.

Sesi seminar diteruskan dengan perkongsian Dr. Jue mengenai punca, tanda awal, dan kesan negatif diabetes jika tidak dirawat. Zainab Ahmad, 53, mengidap diabetes GDM pada tahun 2010 namun tidak mengambil sebarang rawatan hospital.

“Saya bermula dengan diet sendiri tanpa apa-apa ilmu namun gagal dan bacaan gula terus meningkat, pada tahun 2019 baru saya mengambil ubat kencing manis sehingga sekarang.

“Saya mengetahui mengenai Dr. Jue ni dari media sosial dan perkongsian rakan-rakan online, dari situ saya selalu melihat video-video beliau dan menyertai seminar ini untuk belajar menegenai ilmu reverse diabetes lebih lanjut” kongsi Zainab.

Manakala, Suzana Ibrahim, 52, yang telah mengidap diabetes hampir 2 tahun menjelaskan tabiat ‘sweet tooth’ dan menggemari makanan manis menyebabkan paras gula dalam darah meningkat naik.

“Sebelum ini, content Dr. Jue selalu keluar dalam media sosial tetapi saya tidak pernah menghiraukannya sehinggalah pada dua minggu lepas saya ternampak posting beliau yang mempromosikan seminar ini dan saya terus berminat menyertainya.

“Banyak ilmu yang saya pelajari dalam seminar ini terutama protokol pemakanan dan senaman yang perlu dilakukan, dan pasti saya akan amalkannya untuk kesihatan lebih baik” jelasnya.

Selain itu, Dzolkarnain Hassan, 52, seorang bekas tentera telah mengidap diabetes sejak 20 tahun lepas namun baru mengenali Dr. Jue pada dua tahun sebelum ini.

“Saya mendapat diabetes disebabkan gaya hidup yang kuat bersukan namun ketagihan minuman sukan yang manis dan corak pemakanan yang tidak sihat.

“Saya rasa dengan gaya hidup aktif sudah cukup namun tidak menjaga pemakanan sehinggalah doktor menaikkan dos ubat dan insulin kerana paras gula dalam badan mencecah bacaan 22, dan selepas mengenali Dr. Jue di media sosial, saya mula mempelajari banyak perkara untuk reverse diabetes” katanya.

Dalam seminar MYDJ ini juga, Dr. Jue turut berkongsi tentang rawatan alternatif bekam yang dianggap berkesan dalam merawat diabetes. Menurut beliau, bekam sering disalah anggap sebagai rawatan kuno, namun apabila dilakukan dengan cara yang betul, ia boleh memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam pengurusan diabetes.

PUMA Signs Blockbuster Long-Term Partnership With The Portuguese Football Federation

Sports company PUMA has signed a long-term agreement with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), one of the world’s most popular national teams.

Starting in 2025, PUMA will equip all male, female, and youth teams; as well as the federation’s futsal, beach football, and E-Sports teams. Portugal, the 2016 European Champions and 2018/19 Nations League Winners, are known for their captivating style of play, which has earned them many fans all over the world and the largest number of followers on social media of any national football federation worldwide.

“Signing a top-tier national team was one of our priorities in football and I am very excited to welcome a team as popular as Portugal to the PUMA Family,” said Arne Freundt, PUMA
CEO.

“Given the large number of fans all over the world and the great potential of the next
generation of this squad, we are looking forward to the upcoming big tournaments such as
the 2026 World Cup.”

For PUMA, the deal offers the opportunity to continue writing Portuguese football history. In

MSEF DONATES RM10M TO UTAR HOSPITAL, UNVEILS ENDOSCOPY UNIT

Non-governmental organisation Malaysian Social Entrepreneurs Foundation (MSEF), which had in 2023 donated RM10 million towards the development of Hospital Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR Hospital), today unveiled the MSEF Endoscopy Centre at UTAR Hospital.

Present at the unveiling ceremony was Dato’ Chan Wah Kiang, President of MSEF, Dato’ Sri
Lee Kar Whatt, Executive Advisor and Director of MSEF, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Sak Cheng Lum,
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UTAR Education Foundation, Prof. Dr. Lau Hui Ping,
Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of UTAR Hospital as well as representatives
from MSEF, UTAR and UTAR Hospital.

MSEF, in partnership with Eco-Shop Malaysia and Hai-O Group, had made a joint donation of RM10 million and RM1 million, respectively, to support the general construction of UTAR
Hospital and towards the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) teaching, training, research and development at our UTAR Traditional & Complementary Centre in Kampar.

The mock cheques were presented by Dato’ Chan and Dato’ Sri Lee to Tan Sri Sak, who
represented UTAR Hospital. In recognition of this donation, UTAR Hospital named the Endoscopy unit as the MSEF Endoscopy Center in addition to a professorship chair in M. Kandiah Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (MK FMHS) that had been established earlier and named as MSEF Professor of Medicine, held by Professor Dr. Lee Way Seah.

“At MSEF, we strive to foster a culture that upholds the spirit of giving back to society. Our
mission is to unite the influence of our entrepreneurial community to nurture young individuals who not only possess professional capabilities but also embody humanistic values and a sense of social responsibility.

Together, we aim to explore sustainable development and create social value, building a healthier ecosystem where collaboration addresses the challenges our society
faces,” said Dato’ Chan.

He added that these contributions embody their commitment to the principle of “taking from society, giving back to society” and hoped that it would “serve as a humble yet powerful reminder that each of us has a role in supporting those around us.”

In receiving the donation on behalf of UTAR Hospital, Tan Sri Sak expressed heartfelt thanks to MSEF, Eco-Shop Malaysia and Hai-O Group, for their spirit of giving and devotion to encourage kindness, meaning and fulfilment in life to achieve a better tomorrow for our society.

“It is exemplary missions such as these that makes a difference in people’s lives and in doing so, create a better tomorrow for our society and future generations,” Tan Sri Sak said, adding that “with the generosity of MSEF and other like-minded benefactors, we were able to establish UTAR Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital to provide affordable medical care for the local community, and to contribute towards building a healthier nation.”

“We are humbled by the kindness of these benefactors who, through their benevolent actions and spirit of giving to society, paves the way for us to provide the community with access to quality healthcare, and in doing so transform and improve their lives,” he said.

UTAR Hospital opened its doors to the public in the third quarter of 2023 and gradually
introduced additional services over the subsequent months, including endoscopy services. The Hospital has since recorded more than 13,000 patient visits for various services and a number of cases performed at this MSEF Endoscopy Centre, including oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGDS), colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) replacement and haemorrhoid banding.
