UEM Edgenta Berhad (UEM Edgenta), the region’s leading Asset Management and Infrastructure Solutions company, had recently collaborated with Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (“PERKESO”) for a comprehensive Health Screening Programme 3.0 (“HSP 3.0”) for its employees at the UEM Edgenta Learning Centre (“UELC”).

The programme was launched by the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Mustapha
Sakmud. Also present at the ceremony were the Chief Executive Officer of PERKESO, Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed, while UEM Edgenta was represented by Shaiful Subhan, Managing Director of Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd and Head of Healthcare Solutions, of UEM Edgenta together with Razman Ismail, Chief People Officer of UEM Edgenta.

The PERKESO HSP 3.0 is one of the initiatives by the ministry and PERKESO to realise the
government’s aspiration of “Developing Malaysia Madani” through the 2023 Budget. It covers a wide range of activities, from screening by HSP Panel Clinic, physical examination, mental health screening, consultation, liver function test, to pap smear for female employees.

Under the ministry’s initiative, complimentary Health Screening Programme are undertaken for eligible contributors of PERKESO until Dec 31, 2023 at designated locations.

In his speech at the launch, Mustapha Sakmud said the latest initiative is more comprehensive to detect more risk factors in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). Through early detection of NCD, he said workers could take early and appropriate action to become healthy, competitive and productive.

Shaiful Subhan, Managing Director of Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd and Head of Healthcare Solutions of UEM Edgenta said “UEM Edgenta is pleased to collaborate in the initiative and provide access to eligible employees for health checks.

He said this is an important component of the company’s caring attitude programme to ensure that employees continue to be healthy and productive”.
