Running from 26 August to 16 September 2026, the nationwide challenge invites participants to clock 150,000 steps and stand a chance to be rewarded for every step they take towards a healthier lifestyle.
Whether it’s your morning walk, the commute to work, an evening run, a quick coffee run or simply choosing the stairs over the lift, every step counts.
Your Merdeka Mission: 150,000 Steps
Joining the challenge is easy:
1. Open the Samsung Health app and make sure you are logged in to your Samsung Account.
2. Tap the three dots at the top-right corner, select Promotion, then tap the “Move Together with Malaysia” Challenge banner. Alternatively, look for the challenge card on the Samsung Health home page and tap “Join Now”.
3. Clock 150,000 steps between 26 August and 16 September 2026. Your progress will automatically be recorded under the “Together” page in Samsung Health.
4. Once you become a Finisher, answer a simple question and stand a chance to win an exclusive prize!
Sounds like a lot? It works out to roughly 6,800 steps a day; an achievable way to add a little more movement to your everyday routine throughout the Merdeka season. And here’s the best part: you don’t need a Galaxy Watch to take part.

Rewards Waiting at the Finish Line
A little extra motivation never hurts.
