First in South East Asia Cove Aerobar and Insta-worthy Rainbow City @ Gamuda Cove
In the year 2020, Malaysians will have 12 long weekends. Whether travelling abroad or within Malaysia, Gamuda Cove’s Discovery Park is Malaysia’s new tourism hub that is filled with thrilling activities, one-of-a-kind hangout spots and family-friendly facilities.

Featuring first in South East Asia Cove Aerobar, AcrHIVE Food Hall, Blastacars Drift Kart and more, Discovery Park is a new destination that is not to be missed.
Dressed-up in Taiwan’s Rainbow Village-inspired motifs themed Rainbow City, with a Malaysian twist, Discovery Park is set to bring colours and happiness to visitors this Chinese New Year, making it an ideal destination for families and friends.
Located along the Elite Highway with close proximity to KLIA and KLIA2, the 23-acre Discovery Park is the commercial and entertainment segment of Gamuda Cove, Gamuda Land’s latest township with a gross development value of RM20 billion.
Poised to be Malaysia’s first Maxis-enabled 5G township, the 1,530-acre township is bordering the 7,600-acre Kuala Langat Forest Reserve and 1,111-acre Paya Indah Wetlands, truly living up to its name “Nature Sanctuary, Smart City”.

Mindful town-making
“What truly differentiates Gamuda Land’s townships is our mindful planning, and to be able to bring all the components together thoughtfully to make the town works.
“Like how we strategically inject fun and excitement into Discovery Park while being mindful of nature and the environment, the safety and the surrounding community,” said Herbie Tan, Gamuda Land’s Director of Leasing, Retail and Malls.
Home to several unique attractions and many experiential activities, Discovery Park is developed according to Gamuda Land’s long espoused town-making principles that resonates with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11, in building an integrated and sustainable township for its communities.
With the right mix of family friendly entertainment offerings and careful selection of
internationally certified or well qualified providers, the Discovery Park offers two zones, namely the Hangout Village and Adventure Park where visitors can take a deep dive into thrills, fun, spectacular sights, nature and good food.
1. Hangout Village
The Hangout Village offers unique leisure experiences ranging from shopping, dining to relaxation.
Currently, it hosts the Cove Aerobar, ArcHIVE Food Hall and Rainbow City @ Gamuda Cove.
i. Cove Aerobar – first in South East Asia
Designed and made by Aerophile Group from France, this crown jewel of Discovery Park is
a revolutionary way to enjoy the panoramic sight of Gamuda Cove and its neighbouring Paya Indah Wetlands and Kuala Langat Forest Reserve.
Each ride, 16 passengers will be ascended to 35-metre high to chill out, take pictures and experience the remarkable panoramic view from atop.
ii. Rainbow City @ Gamuda Cove
Inspired by one of Taiwan’s must visit destinations, this hangout spot features 14 different
motifs that reflect Malaysia’s Muhibbah culture and Gamuda Cove’s identity, such as Batik,
Kadazan arts, Minangkabau carvings and more. Positioned in front of Cove Aerobar, it will
be a paradise for instagrammers and ideal place to chill out while admiring the engineering
structure of Aerobar.
iii. ArcHIVE Food Hall
Featuring a collection of retail shops, al-fresco cafes and dining options, this social hub for
shoppers and foodies is where families and friends can hangout and catch up with one
another. All the crafty items and food such as satay, laksa johor, mee rebus, kacang putih,
durian puffs found here are carefully handpicked to serve up a truly Malaysian experience.
iv. Barsa Pool Club
Slated for opening in this February, the first-in-Malaysia beach pool club features a 5-metre diving platform and Malaysia’s largest salt water pool, where all ages can enjoy pool-surfing on a daybed, diving and drinking in a suburban setting during day time.
At night, it will be a club for drinking and partying.
2. Adventure Park
The Adventure Park is where visitors can get their blood and excitement pumping with Blastacars Drift Karts that are currently open to public.
A purpose-built ropes course with more than 50 obstacles spread over 2-storey plus an ATV and motocross track is currently being put in place to hype up the Adventure Park. These are targeted to open in March 2020. More adrenaline rush activities are in the pipeline.
i. Blastacars Drift Karts
Originating from New Zealand, Blastacars offer the adrenaline rush of motorsports by
drifting up and down the specially designed race track with an elevation change. To hype
things up for motorsports enthusiasts, the Discovery Park will be a spot for monthly
motorsports club gatherings.

Although the township takes another 18 more years to be fully completed, the developer has already accelerated its placemaking activation to transform the business and tourism landscape in Southern Klang Valley.
“This is what we meant by creating towns that stand the test of time. We carefully plan every detail and deliver for the community in advance to activate the home place, play place, park place, shopping place.
Discovery Park is thus a pivotal catalyst in our placemaking to drive the socio-economic growth and to complement Gamuda Cove,” concluded Herbie, adding that in the pipeline to support tourism activities are Gamuda Cove water theme park, hotels as well as a regional mall, MICE facilities and offices in the commercial business district (CBD), making Gamuda Cove a truly well-thought of and properly implemented masterplan.
Discovery Park is open daily 10am to 10pm and a series of Chinese New Year activities will be hosted every weekend between 18 January and 9 February 2020. For more information, visit Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery or log on to discoverypark.com.my.
