Menghidupkan Kembali Warisan Seni Telepuk

Bengkel Seni Telepuk Percuma

Peredaran zaman, perkembangan teknologi dan kepesatan era globalisasi adalah antara faktor yang menyebabkan banyak seni warisan tradisi semakin dilupai dan ada juga yang telah mengalami kepupusan.

Antara yang terkesan ialah seni Telepuk iaitu satu seni menghias tekstil tradisional Melayu yang sudah tidak diusahakan lagi sejak awal kurun ke-19. Pergerakan Langkasuka dengan sokongan dari Yayasan Hasanah telah melancarkan kempen ‘Telepuk.

Memulihara Warisan Seni Tradisional’ pada tahun 2020 dengan mengadakan aktiviti-aktiviti termasuk bengkel-bengkel, menjalankan penyelidikan dan dokumentasi serta mengenal pasti pengusaha yang berminat dan berpotensi.

Seni tradisional menghias kain ini dipercayai telah dibawa masuk oleh pedagang-pedagang Bugis dari Sulawesi. Ianya melibatkan proses menekap motif menggunakan cop ukiran kayu yang bergam ke atas kain tenun benang halus yang kemudiannya dilekapkan dengan kertas emas atau perada (serbuk emas atau perak).

Proses menelepuk di Semenanjung Tanah Melayu kebiasaannya dibuat di atas kain yang telah digerus, iaitu satu teknik mengilatkan kain dengan menggunakan siput gerus (Cyprarea Tigres).

Teknik ini dikenali sebagai garusu atau garusi di kalangan masyarakat yang mengamalkannya di Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Menurut sejarah, seni tata hias emas ini dimiliki dan dipelihara oleh pihak istana dan pemakaiannya dikhaskan untuk keluarga Diraja dan golongan bangsawan seperti di negara China, India, Jepun dan Indonesia.

Ianya bersifat mewah dan selain daripada persalinan busana penuh, ianya dijadikan tanjak, samping, selendang, kain ikat pinggang dan sapu tangan yang sering dipakai untuk menghadiri majlis rasmi di istana dan sebagai pakaian istiadat perkahwinan.

Usaha memulihara seni Telepuk ini telah diterajui oleh Adiguru Prof. Adjung Norhaiza Noordin, Tokoh Kraf Ukiran Halus yang juga merupakan seorang penggiat seni tradisional yang tidak perlu diperkenalkan lagi.

Hasil karya kerja tangan beliau banyak menghiasi ruang dalaman istana, masjid, hotel, pejabat dan bangunan di dalam dan luar negara termasuk dewan Pusat Pengajian Islam di Universiti Oxford, England.

Pada tahun 2014, beliau telah diminta oleh Perbadanan Adat Melayu dan Warisan Selangor (PADAT) untuk menghasilkan ukiran Sarang Telepuk dan dari situ beliau telah memulakan kajian mendalam mengenai Telepuk di beberapa muzium termasuk Muzium Negara, Muzium Tekstil dan Muzium Terengganu.

Kini, beliau bersama-sama Pergerakan Langkasuka berusaha untuk memulih dan menghidupkan semula serta mengembangkan seni Telepuk supaya tidak lagi dikaitkan dengan perkataan pupus dan diteruskan oleh generasi akan datang.

Misi 2020 mereka tercapai apabila bengkel Telepuk secara fizikal dan dalam talian sebanyak 6 sesi telah menarik penyertaan seramai 170 orang peserta. Usaha ini juga turut
mendapat perhatian Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah
yang sememangnya mempunyai minat yang mendalam dalam mengekalkan warisan kraf
tradisional.

Lokakarya serupa ini akan diteruskan pada masa akan datang dan mereka berharap agar Telepuk dapat diserapkan sebagai sebahagian silibus seni di sekolah-sekolah dan institusi
pengajian tinggi.

LG’S ANTI-DISCOLORATION TECH FOR OUTDOOR DIGITAL SIGNAGE FIRST TO RECEIVE UI VERIFICATION

LG Electronics (LG) is introducing its advanced Anti-Discoloration ™ technology for outdoor digital signage. Verified by respected standards and testing organization, UL Solutions, LG’s new tech helps prevent ‘screen-yellowing,’ a common issue for outdoor digital signage products caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

This innovative tech simultaneously safeguards display quality and performance stability, ultimately helping extend the lifespan of LG digital signage used in outdoor environments.

LG is the first company to achieve UL verification for the display anti-discoloration characteristic technology for digital signage. LG developed a comprehensive testing

Pencarian Jutawan SSi Edisi Gemilang 25 Tahun Terakhir Diteruskan

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (Bank Muamalat) mengumumkan jutawan ketiga Sijil Simpanan Islamik (SSi) dalam sebuah Majlis Penyampaian Hadiah SSi Edisi Gemilang 25 Tahun yang diadakan di Karnival Jom Heboh, Terengganu pada 1 Ogos 2024.

Hadiah wang tunai bagi cabutan SSi Jutawan Hebat berupa wang tunai RM1 juta yang diumumkan hari ini merupakan sebahagian daripada hadiah keseluruhan bernilai lebih RM5 juta bagi kempen SSi Edisi Gemilang 25 Tahun.

Pada majlis tersebut, Encik Sajihan M.C Mohamed, pelanggan bertuah dari cawangan Seri Manjung telah membawa pulang wang tunai berjumlah RM1 Juta selepas diumumkan sebagai pemenang bertuah SSi Jutawan Hebat melalui kempen yang berlangsung dari 1 Mac hingga 31 Disember 2024.
