Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) dan Delivery Hero Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (foodpanda) dengan kerjasama Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) telah melancarkan Program Literasi Kewangan Go Giggers 2024 bagi membantu pekerja gig menguruskan kewangan dengan lebih berhemat.
Program tersebut dilancarkan bersama dengan penandatanganan nota kolaborasi oleh Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif AKPK, Azaddin Ngah Tasir; Ketua Eksekutif Bank Simpanan Nasional, Jay Khairil Jeremy Abdullah; dan Pengarah Operasi, Delivery Hero Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (foodpanda), Shubham Saran.
AKPK sentiasa cakna permasalahan kewangan rakyat Malaysia daripada semua taraf hidup dalam ekonomi dunia yang kini serba tidak menentu. Ini selari dengan prinsip keterangkuman yang dipegang teguh oleh AKPK agar tiada golongan yang ketinggalan dalam mendapatkan kesedaran dan pemerkasaan literasi kewangan.

Pengurus Besar Bahagian Pendidikan dan Jangkaun Masyarakat, AKPK Nor Fazleen Zakaria berkata, “Langkah ini selaras dengan misi AKPK untuk memperkasakan individu dengan ilmu pengurusan kewangan peribadi agar mereka lebih berdisiplin dan bertanggungjawab, dan dapat menguasai situasi kewangan mereka dengan bijak.”
Kajian “A Case Study of Foodpanda in Malaysia – Financial Behaviour of Gig Workers” oleh METLIFE yang melibatkan seribu (1,000) responden mendapati lebih daripada separuh berbelanja mengikut kemampuan.
Walau bagaimanapun, hanya 30 peratus menabung secara konsisten, manakala 61 peratus lagi menabung secara tidak tetap. Bakinya pula menyatakan bahawa kekurangan dana ialah sebab utama tiada tabungan tetap atau tiada tabungan langsung.
Seterusnya, warga kerja ekonomi gig termasuk rakan riders terlepas peluang mendapat manfaat seperti yang diperolehi oleh pekerja tetap. Ini termasuk perlindungan kesihatan, dana persaraan dan juga cuti sakit berbayar.
Oleh kerana itu, mereka wajar diberikan kesedaran berkenaan kepentingan pengurusan kewangan yang betul bagi memastikan mereka dapat menampung keperluan hidup ketika menghadapi perkara-perkara luar jangka. Program ini juga memperlihatkan elemen perancangan kewangan yang menekankan aspek disiplin dan komitmen yang tinggi dalam memupuk tabiat menyimpan dan perbelanjaan berhemat dalam kalangan rakan riders.
Dalam ucapannya, Pengarah Operasi Delivery Hero Malaysia, Shubham Saran, menzahirkan rasa bangga menyaksikan komitmen teguh foodpanda Malaysia terhadap kesejahteraan kewangan rakan penghantar melalui kempen GO GIGGERS GO RIDERS.
Shubham berkata, “Kerjasama ini dengan AKPK dan BSN bukan sekadar program — ia merupakan satu langkah untuk memperkasakan rider kami dengan pengetahuan dan alat untuk mengatasi cabaran kewangan dengan yakin.

Program Literasi Kewangan Go Giggers sememangnya satu inisiatif yang dirangka bagi memberikan manfaat dan pendedahan kepada lebih kurang lima ribu (5,000) rakan riders foodpanda mengenai kepentingan pengurusan kewangan berhemat, antara lain, melalui perkongsian infografik, video pendidikan (edu-video), serta audio siar (podcast) JomBorak.
Sebagai program berimpak tinggi yang memberi tumpuan kepada kumpulan sasaran khasnya rakan riders, mereka yang terpilih akan diberi bimbingan dan tunjuk ajar secara intensif selama enam (6) bulan melalui pelbagai kaedah pembelajaran termasuklah melalui kaedah gamifikasi.
Mereka akan dipantau dan dinilai, serta kemajuan mereka direkod bagi memastikan bimbingan serta tunjuk ajar mencapai matlamat program, iaitu mempunyai simpanan dan dana kecemasan yang mencukupi.
Sementara itu, BSN selaku rakan strategik utama akan menyediakan laporan kemajuan simpanan rakan riders sepanjang tempoh program. Laporan ini akan menjadi penanda aras untuk mengukur konsistensi rakan riders dalam membina simpanan dan dana kecemasan.
Pada 6 Ogos yang lalu, AKPK telah mengadakan satu sesi pembelajaran secara bersemuka bersama lebih daripada 100 orang rakan riders foodpanda. Pihak BSN juga telah membuka kaunter bagi memudahkan rakan riders membuka akaun simpanan mereka selaras dengan matlamat program ini.
Rakan strategik lain yang turut serta dalam menjayakan program ini ialah Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP), Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO), CTOS, Persatuan Kanser Kebangsaan Malaysia dan SETEL.
Program seumpama ini menjadi bukti bahawa AKPK sentiasa mengambil langkah proaktif dalam memberikan pendedahan dan pemerkasaan literasi kewangan kepada rakyat Malaysia. Sehingga bulan Jun 2024, seramai 13.2 juta rakyat Malaysia daripada pelbagai latar` belakang telah didedahkan kepada pendidikan kewangan melalui pelbagai program yang dianjurkan oleh AKPK.
