MetLife Foundation recently made a contribution towards the MY AMCHAM CARES COVID-19 relief programme to purchase 6,310 disposable isolation gowns for five hospitals across Malaysia.

These disposable gowns will help protect close to 250 healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients in isolation wards across the country.

At the mock cheque presentation ceremony, Ramzi Toubassy, Chief Executive Officer, AmMetLife said, “We are committed to helping our customers and the communities we serve especially during these uncertain times.

Our frontline medical workers are the unsung heroes in this fight against COVID-19. We are pleased that MetLife Foundation’s grant will help deliver the much needed protective equipment to keep our healthcare workers safe as they work around the clock treating patients.”

The recipient hospitals of the protective equipment include Ampang Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selayang Hospital, Lahad Datu Hospital and Sarawak General Hospital.
