Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) recently energised the streets of Kuala Lumpur by offering free samples of its latest innovation, the Double Cheeseburger Pizza. As part of this activation, Gigantic Double Shirts took over the streets.
Fashion statement or a bold new trend? Crowds were left stunned as groups of Gigantic Double Shirts strut through the heart of KL like fashion statement, roamed busy areas such as Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, and Sungai Wang. Their unusual and striking attire turned heads,
attracting curious onlookers and drawing crowds eager to experience the unique fusion of pizza and burger flavors.
This activation followed Domino’s engaging pre-teaser campaign, which featured its quirky
brand personas, Toppy and Rak Rak. Dressed as oversized pizza halves, the duo roamed the same bustling streets, playfully asking passersby, “Have you seen my double?”
The pre-teaser was designed to spark curiosity and build anticipation for Domino’s upcoming launch. Together, these activations seamlessly built excitement, transitioning from intrigue to the hands-on experience of sampling Domino’s new creation.
Available for a limited time only, this exciting product left a lasting impression on all who participated.
The duo received enthusiastic feedback from those who tried the Double Cheeseburger Pizza: “The burger bun crust took me by surprise! Biting into the crust and finding juicy burger meat inside was such an unexpected twist.
It is soft, flavorful, and perfectly complements the pizza toppings. It is like getting the best of both worlds in one bite. I will definitely be coming back for this,” said Farah Anis, 25, a student who tried the pizza at Bukit Bintang.
“As a burger lover, I was not sure what to expect, but this pizza blew me away. The flavors are exactly like a cheeseburger—the patties, the pickles, the sauce—it is all there, just in pizza form. I am genuinely impressed by how much it feels like eating a burger and a pizza at the same time,” said Jason Lim, 30, who sampled the pizza outside Sungai Wang.
Alongside their vibrant, oversized pizza costumes, Domino’s took its creativity to the next level by unveiling giant burger-inspired pizza boxes. These eye-catching boxes were designed to resemble a massive burger box, so realistic that some might think they were holding an actual giant burger.
However, the surprise came upon opening the box to reveal Domino’s Double Cheeseburger Pizza alongside a side of Loaded Cheeseburger Crispy Fries. The oversized packaging not only showcased Domino’s bold approach to innovation but also emphasized the fun, imaginative spirit of the brand.
This playful yet practical design made the boxes a memorable highlight of the campaign, further reinforcing the excitement surrounding the limited-time pizza creation.
The Double Cheeseburger Pizza features a unique burger bun crust, stuffed with a juicy beef patty and melted cheddar cheese, giving each bite from the crust a true burger-like experience.
On top, the pizza is loaded with another layer of succulent burger patty, accompanied by
onions, pickles, and its first-ever Domino’s signature burger sauce to complete the classic
cheeseburger flavor. This exciting pizza comes in a variety of flavors, including the Double Beef Cheeseburger Pizza (with burger crust) and the Double Chicken Cheeseburger Pizza (with burger crust).
Customers can also choose to enjoy these flavors without the burger crust. For an added touch of indulgence, customers can top off their pizza with Smoky Beef Strips to take the
flavor to the next level!
And what’s a burger meal without a side of delicious fries? To complete the experience,
Domino’s is also introducing the Loaded Cheeseburger Crispy Fries, topped with ground beef toppings, creamy mayo sauce and drizzled with signature burger sauce. For those looking for a simpler option, the Crispy Fries, seasoned with Domino’s special pizza salt for a savoury kick that offers the perfect balance of fluffy and crispy textures.
The all-new Double Cheeseburger Pizza is available in Regular and Large sizes. For the best
