Mercedes-Benz Malaysia kick starts local EV and sustainability plans with the introduction of the EQA. Offering an excellent performance, the EQA is the first all-electric member of the compact segment from Mercedes-Benz.
The dynamic design of its SUV body is an indicator of the driving enjoyment to be found on board. It delivers all the thrilling characteristics of that vehicle, combined in this case with an efficient electric power train.
The brand also strengthens partnership with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) to further enhance local infrastructure and EV readiness.

Event coincided with the announcement of the winners of the Mercedes-Benz x Petrosains Virtual STEM Series Mercedes-Benz Malaysia kicks off its local EV and sustainability strategy with the launch of the much-anticipated EQA 250 through a holistic approach showcased across all business touchpoints including infrastructure and education.
The luxury brand strives forward to pave the way for future mobility in Malaysia, inline with the company’s global direction to go all-electric by 2030 where market conditions allow.

The German marque will also strengthen its partnership with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad
(PDB) to further enhance its comprehensive EV infrastructure plans to cater to the demands and needs towards Future Mobility.
Last November, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia signed an MoU with Petronas Dagangan Berhad PDB to install five high speed chargers, branded as ENERGISE by PETRONAS, along the entire North-South Expressway and part of the East- Coast Expressway as the first step to further enhance and encourage EV adoption amongst the Malaysian drivers.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also plans to install 13 new DC fast chargers in strategic dealer locations nationwide this year where EQ customers can use at no cost until the end of 2023.
