INSIDE TAG and PUMA give new life to the Mostro by creating a special-edition release: the PUMA Ur Mostro Communication.
Upon its release in 1999, the PUMA Mostro was immediately considered disruptive for its unique design, punctuated by statement features like its spiked outsole and strap closure.
In 2004, the original Mostro sketches were reworked, giving birth to the Ur Mostro. The Ur injected the silhouette with new elements, amplifying the shoe’s daring look by
adding exaggerated spikes, ventilated mesh panels on the upper, and a durable leather upper.
INSIDE TAG’s archival rework features a premium leather upper saddled on a wide-
looped mesh underlay, creating a honeycomb-like imprint that develops uniquely on
each shoe.
Re-worked details also include enhanced lugs on the outsole, aged TPU components nodding to the philosophies of research and curation that inform INSIDE TAG, and an elongated rear heel tab to catch trouser cuffs.
The PUMA Mostro Ur Communication is finished in vibrant colorways such as “Warm
White / Light Straw” and “Haute Coffee / PUMA Black.” PUMA’s leaping cat logo prominently appears in a contrasting hue on each colorway.
The PUMA Ur Mostro Communication will be available starting March 29, 2025, priced
at RM569, exclusively at ATMOS.
