NCT Alliance Berhad (NCT Alliance) organised an exciting day of badminton fun for children from House of Joy, a non-profit charity home.
The event featured NCT Alliance Ambassadors and Malaysia’s renowned badminton men’s doubles players, Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun, offering young participants a chance to hang out with and learn from national athletes in a relaxed setting.
The CSR initiative brought together 30 participants, including children aged 12 to 17 from House of Joy and NCT Alliance staff. This event showcased the company’s dedication to enriching young lives through sports while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Chau Chun Hoo, Chief Operating Officer of NCT Alliance, kicked off the day by welcoming everyone. The children then got to spend time with Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun, picking up badminton tips and enjoying friendly games with the national players.
Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of NCT
Alliance Berhad, highlighted the special nature of this CSR initiative: “At NCT Alliance, we believe in creating memorable experiences that can inspire our youth.
This chance to hang out with our national badminton stars, Man Wei Chong and Tee
Kai Wun, is truly special. We chose badminton, one of our nation’s most beloved
sports, as a fun way to connect with these young individuals following the recent Malaysia Day celebration.
Our aim is to spark their interest in sports and show them that with passion and support, they can achieve great things.
Lesley Mah, Principal of House of Joy Children’s Home, expressed appreciation for
the event: “We’re so happy that our children had this amazing opportunity to spend
time with Malaysia’s top badminton players. During their teenage years, children
often look for inspiring role models.
This fun day with Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun has not only taught them some cool badminton moves but has also given them the confidence to dream big.
