First UNIQLO store in Ampang brings LifeWear to residents and commuters
Global apparel retailer UNIQLO announced the opening of a new store at Melawati Mall in Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur. Known for its LifeWear, quality and functional clothing that is made for all, UNIQLO’s new store aims to provide shopping convenience to the people living and working in the capital city’s eastern suburb of Ampang.
Situated on the ground floor of Melawati Mall, this new store carries a wide range of UNIQLO’s LifeWear apparel for men, women and children, including such popular UNIQLO lines as:
AIRism: made of innovative and functional material that is breathable and moisture-wicking for optimal comfort in Malaysia’s hot and humid weather. Available in t-shirt, mask, innerwear, outerwear, hijab and more.
UNIQLO core collection: ranges from tops and bottoms, including jeans, for work and leisure, loungewear and sports utility wear for both men and women, clothes for kids and babies as well as accessories like shoes, belt and bags.
UT: UNIQLO T-shirts offer an array of authentic pop culture and art graphics from around the world that allow the wearer to express their individuality.

UNIQLO invites all customers to donate their pre-loved UNIQLO clothing for people in need. Customers can donate their clothes at the Sustainability Corner in UNIQLO Melawati Mall, where they can also learn about RE.UNIQLO and other global and local sustainability efforts.
One such initiative took place at UNIQLO Melawati Mall prior to its opening. As part of the company’s advocacy of diversity and inclusion (D&I), and in line with its aim to employ at least one employee with disabilities in each of its stores, an in-store retail experience session was conducted for people with learning disabilities to expose them to retail skills.
This activity was carried out in support of the disabled community in the vicinity of the store.
