Duopharma Biotech together with Permodalan Nasional Berhad contribute Ventilators for a Government Hospital; Three Patient Monitoring Devices, which will be used at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Government Hospitals RM10,000 cash was donated to Orang Asli through Epic Society RM50,000.00 cash was channeled to Government-Linked Companies’ Disaster Response Network (GDRN) to purchase other supplies

Leading Malaysian pharmaceuticals company, Duopharma Biotech Berhad (Duopharma Biotech) has contributed RM500,000 worth of medical equipment and cash to support the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the war against COVID-19.

“We share the concerns of all Malaysians with regard to the current COVID-19 pandemic and salute the heroic efforts of the frontline medical personnel and others in managing this unprecedented situation,” said Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar, Group Managing Director, Duopharma Biotech.

“There is a critical need for ventilators and other equipment deployed in critical and intensive care units such as patient monitoring devices and it is our hope that this contribution will help alleviate the situation,” he added.

Duopharma Biotech contributed one unit of ventilator while its parent company, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) contributed four (4) of the said items to Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra, Kuala Krai, Kelantan. In addition, three patient monitoring devices were also donated to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom, Kluang, Johor.

In addition to the equipment, Duopharma Biotech also contributed RM10,000 to Epic Society, a Non-Profit Organisation for them to purchase essential foods for Orang Asli while RM50,000 was contributed towards the Government-Linked Companies Disaster Response Network (GDRN) through Yayasan Hasanah to support efforts in providing much needed
daily supplies required by various affected stakeholders.
