Petronas flagged off the PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ Experience to Believe, a convoy of high-powered motorcycles for a 1,000km journey to the Phuket Bike Week 2018 in Thailand, the biggest bike gathering in Asia.
THE flag off at PETRONAS Technology Park Malaysia station in Sungai Besi saw some 30
journalists, key opinion leaders and bike enthusiasts getting a first-hand experience of the
superior riding performance that comes with PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ lubricant and the efficiency offered by PETRONAS Primax 97 fuel.

“PETRONAS has been providing total fluid solutions to riders in Malaysia at all its stations. The convoy today signifies our commitment to invest and expand the PETRONAS brand presence in Thailand’s vibrant motorcycle market, introducing PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ to riders from all over Asia,” said PETRONAS’ Vice President of Downstream Marketing, Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohd Tahir.
Syed Zainal Abidin flagged off the convoy together with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus, and PETRONAS Lubricants International Sdn Bhd (PLI) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe D’Arrigo.
The convoy is led by PLI Asia Pacific Regional Head, Mohd Khalid Mohd Latiff. PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ motorcycle lubricant, which promises a smooth and quality riding experience, was developed at the newly launched PETRONAS’ Global Research and Technology Centre in Turin, Italy, home of PETRONAS Fluid Technology Solutions™.
Since making its re-entry into the Malaysian market in March last year, PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ has received positive response from trade and end-consumers alike, with 50 per cent higher sales volume recorded in 2017 compared to 2016.
Zainal Abidin added that all bikes in the convoy were filled with PETRONAS Sprinta with
UltraFlex™ F900 and PETRONAS Primax fuel, which will deliver maximum riding benefits and give the participants a feel of PETRONAS’ winning fluid technology – the same technology that powered the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One team to four consecutive F1 World Constructors’ Championship since 2014.
