The highly anticipated Zurich Liga 7×7 All Stars 2025 culminated on Saturday in an end-to-end final, with Team Bangsa Bola emerging victorious in a hard-fought match at Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur.
The event drew a near-capacity crowd and celebrated the fusion of sports and entertainment, setting a new benchmark for events in the Malaysian football scene.
The tournament featured four teams, each led by prominent figures and captained by
football legends: Team Zurich: Led by Junior Cho, Country CEO of Zurich Malaysia and captained by football icon Dimitar Berbatov.
Team Wizards: Led by Khairy Jamaluddin and captained by Manchester United legend
Ryan Giggs. Team Harimau: Led by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and captained by Malaysian hero Safee Sali.
Team Bangsa Bola: Led by Tan Sri Nazir Razak and captained by Chelsea legend John
Terry. On the pitch, the four teams competed in a round-robin format, with each team playing once against the others.
After six fiercely contested matches, Team Bangsa Bola and Team Wizards proved to be a class above, securing their spots in the championship playoff. In an end-to-end, Team Bangsa Bola ultimately triumphed, claiming the coveted Zurich Liga 7×7 All Stars Champion’s trophy.
