Kinder Liu, Head of R&D Department of OnePlus has presented yet another deep dive of the OnePlus 10T 5G , this time on the aspect of performance.
Building on the signature Fast & Smooth experience of the OnePlus brand, the OnePlus 10T 5G takes it further with a smarter, more holistic approach to performance, delivering on a robust, burdenless experience that embodies the tagline, Evolve Beyond Speed.
Beginning with the chipset, the OnePlus 10T 5G is powered by the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1
Mobile Platform, centred around offering more power with less power consumption. It comes equipped with an improved Qualcomm® Kryo™ CPU that delivers faster, more efficient on-device cross tasking, even when using intensive applications.
The Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1’s octa-core CPU offers 10% faster CPU performance with a 30% improvement in power efficiency.
Similarly, the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1’s Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU in the OnePlus 10T 5G
offers up to 10% faster GPU clock speeds with a 30% power reduction. In addition, it
supports Volumetric Rendering that improves the realism of graphics, such fog and smoke
effects, for a more immersive experience.
Supplementing this is the 7 th Gen Qualcomm® AI Engine that is fitted inside the smart-
powered chipset, providing performance improvements with greater efficiency. This AI
Engine is up to four times faster than its predecessor while offering up to 20% better
performance per watt.
Accompanying the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform is up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 two-
lane storage and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The OnePlus 10T 5G with 16 GB of RAM
benefits from a series of memory optimizations that allow it to suspend over 35
applications at once for a faster, smoother, and uninterrupted user experience.
To sustain the level of high performance for longer periods, the OnePlus 10T 5G features the largest and most advanced cooling system ever from OnePlus – offering a total cooling area of over 37,000 mm.
This is achieved via a cryo-velocity vapor chamber with 8 dissipation channels and a redesigned micron-level 3D capillary dissipation structure, working in tandem to offer up to twice the dissipation ability of traditional smartphone vapor chambers.
The HyperBoost Gaming Engine also makes a return on the OnePlus 10T 5G and powers
features designed to make gaming smoother and more responsive. These are the General
Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer and LSTouch – the GPA Frame Stabilizer
on the OnePlus 10T 5G reduces frame rate fluctuation when gaming for a smoother, more
stable gaming experience.
Meanwhile, LSTouch works with the OnePlus 10T 5G ’s 1,000 Hz instant touch sampling rate to improve responsiveness when gaming. Finally, the OnePlus 10T 5G benefits from a new feature called AI System Booster that’s formed of a series of customised optimisations that take performance that little bit further, like improving cold boot speeds and making frame rates more stable while lowering power consumption in daily use.
